With the sun going down on Friday night here in Israel and we begin our Sabbath the whole country is in deep prayer for our sons and daughters who may invade southern Lebanon some time tonight. With mothers and wives lighting their Sabbath Candles the whole family is lifting up their hands and hearts towards heaven asking God to protect their sons and daughters as our ground forces move into southern Lebanon.

There were 86 katyushas rockets that landed in Israel today (so-far) 4 of them in downtown Haifa, Israel’s third largest city and Israel largest Sea Port, with a population of around 270,000. We are told all the dangerous chemical that were located at the port has been moved elsewhere in case of a direct hit, but there are still many large fuel tanks and power plants that supplies much of the Galilee area. The majority of the population of Haifa and throughout the northern part of the country is spending most of their days and nights in bomb shelters with government agencies bringing them the needed food and water supplies.

Today Connie and I were in Herzilya and never have we seen such heavy traffic there. The same goes for Jerusalem and Tel-Aviv as tens of thousands of our residences from the north have come south to escape the constant missile attacks.

I want to ask each of you to spend some time in prayer as the IDF goes into southern Lebanon to push Hizbullah back at least 20 miles putting their katyushas rockets out of range of our northern cities. Already we have lost many IDF soldiers in short invasions into Lebanon, it seems that they are either unprepared for what they are facing or their leadership in insufficient. Recently the IDF went in to ambush Hizbullah and were ambushed themselves killing 4, and another time they went in by tank and the tank was destroyed and we lost 4 more of our young men in that blunder. This entire war started with Hizbullah tricking the IDF by shelling in one place in order to draw our troops attention away from the border patrol soldiers that were kidnapped. In Gaza the IDF simply fell asleep on the job and many were killed and one kidnapped. We have all heard over the years how great the IDF is, but it seems we have been talking about another IDF not the IDF of today.

We as a nation we get what we deserve, or possibly what we vote for. In our last election many mislead Israelis voted for the new Sharon Kadima Party. What they voted for was a Prime Minister with no experience and no military experience and now we have a Defense Minister with absolutely no experience in the military. Many of our best Generals have retired out of discuss or Sharon forced them out before his stroke and we now have the head of the IDF a Chief of Staff with no experience commanding ground forces.

It’s much like the so-called Palestinians, they voted in the terrorist group Hamas to lead them, and in so doing have brought destruction on their own heads. So it seems that both the "Palestinians" and the Israelis have by their own vote brought much death and destruction on themselves. It all began with the Sharon Disengagement and now we have Olmert saying he will do more of the same in Samaria and Judea. We left southern Lebanon unilaterally 6 years ago and now we are being attacked from southern Lebanon. We Left Gaza unilaterally and now we are being attacked from Gaza. And still this liberal government hasn’t learnt that we are dealing with bloodthirsty murderers who will settle for nothing less then our total destruction and every Jew murdered.

What I am hoping and praying for is that our prayers can bring the Israeli IDF back to its old sense of pride and honor, that they will stand tall as Jews and fight for the "Jewish State" and not the Israeli State Olmert keeps talking about. For this is a State created by the hand of God as a Jewish State. For God’s economy and purposes will come to pass if not by this weak and misguided Israeli Government, then by a miracle at the hand of a mighty and wonderful God who always brings His Word to pass.

In the mean time we have a mission and we must prepare to rescue Jews. Personally I have no choice but to keep moving forward in acquiring the necessary boats and working with others to set up safe houses and safe routes and those who God has joined with this Ministry you can say yes or no when God speaks to you. I feel that no is not an option, just as Israel has no option but to win, for failure is not an option for us. For failure means death to us all.

Please also pray for our children who are living in bomb shelters, that they will not be harmed either mentally or physically. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it. Shalom, jerry golden
