WHAT DO AMERICAN'S WANT?

General Motors just embarked on a national advertising campaign in which they asked the question: "Do American car companies know what Americans want?" In answering their own question, GM said "...our newest vehicles account for 30% of our total US sales...in head-to-head comparisons, our cars and trucks stand up to anyone's—foreign or domestic." GM claimed their vehicles perform better with fewer problems, adding: "That's the focus. And that's the mission. At the global car company that's proud to be American."

The kicker? Under the asterisks in the ad on the performance-driven American vehicles—in the small print we never read—the ad said: "General Motors Corporation—Oshawa #2, Ontario, received the lowest number of problems per 100 vehicles for plants in North/South America..." The American consumers GM was talking about—the people expected to buy the cars and trucks GM makes—are US consumers. But the Americans who manufactured those shiny new vehicles are Americans only in the sense that they live in North, Central or South America, with fewer of them living in the United States.

When it comes to cars, what do Americans want? It's simple. Cars made in America—specifically, cars made in the United States of America. Not Canada. Not Mexico. Not South America. Not Central America. Not Canada. And especially, not American-branded cars made in China and snuck back to the United States through NAFTA's tariff-free swinging doors via Mexico.

Why is that important? After all, as consumers, we all like a deal. And, with the job market getting tough in the United States, and average incomes dropping, we need to save money on the major purchases we are required to buy. And, let's face it, cars made in second and third world countries are cheaper than cars made in Detroit—or any of the other soon-to-be deserted cities in America's decaying, boarded-up industrial belt And, that's the problem. What made America great at mid-century was its industrial strength. In World War II, the United States fueled, fed and supplied all of its allies with the munitions and machines of war and simultaneously fought enemies on two continents. What made America the most powerful nation in the history of the world was her industrial strength. America's peacetime factories created almost half the world's jobs and 40% of the consumable goods sold throughout the nations of the world. America was self-sufficient. Everything we needed to survive and prosper in a hostile world was made here. And, to the rest of the world, that was a problem.

America was the land of the free and the home of the greedy. Our allies and, more important, our enemies, demanded access to the American consumers so they could rebuild their war-damaged economies. And, America agreed, believing the US consumer could support the world—and its own factories at home. America's politicians (on both sides of the aisle) were financed by transnational industrialists who were already aware that tomorrow's consumers did not live in the United States and envisioned a New World Order in an orderly global society. The barons of banking and the courtesans of commerce who were diligently constructing a world economy knew that tomorrow's consumers—the human capital of the princes of industry—lived in the overpopulated, undeveloped third world nations. All those prospective consumers needed to fulfill the utopian dreams of the transnational industrialists and barons of business, were jobs—our jobs. Union jobs.

Fueling the transnationalists efforts to industrialize the third world were the labor unions in the United States—greedy for new members in the emerging economies of the third world —and the socialist Democratic congressional leadership in Washington, DC that drew much of their support from Labor and the votes Big Labor controlled. But these would be union jobs without the bargaining clout of Taft-Hartley or any other law guaranteeing collective bargaining rights. The transnational industrialists intended to pull the teeth and break the backs of Labor by moving their factories to nations without labor laws that would force them to negotiate with labor through their unions.

The handwriting was already on the wall—Me'ne, Me'ne, Te'kel, Uphar'sin—in the late 1950s and early 1960s the American clothing industry was virtually destroyed by cheap textiles from Asia. Because the nations of Europe and Asia envied the prosperity of America, the globalists—with one eye on the human capital of Asia that would soon become their chattel—sold out America and signed the General Agreement on Trade and Tariffs (GATT) that led to the World Trade Organization. But until Bill and Hillary Clinton forced the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) through the Democratically-controlled Congress in 1993, the globalists were checkmated. The courtesans of commerce could not steal the United States' job base without a severe penalty. They would have no mass market in which to sell the goods made by the former US jobs. Goods coming back into the United States would be slapped with tariff's high enough to make those good noncompetitive with the products still being made in the USA—and it would protect the American job base. But the titans of industry who put up the millions needed to elect the co-presidency of Bill and Hillary in 1992 got their money's worth.

A tariff-free swinging door was created and the products created by the jobs America exported returned to the United States as American-branded goods. Union jobs fled the United States and sweat shop goods returned. Greedily, American consumers grabbed the bargains without realizing that the only thing the United States was exporting were jobs—and their jobs were next.

Nations—and the consumers within those nations have a choice. They can have an upscale standard of living, or they can have cheap goods. They can't have both although the greedier we are the more reasonable that myth becomes. Because of our penchant for the proverbial bargain, we have watched the taskmasters of the New World Order deliberately break the industrial back of America and watch as, one by one, America's premier industries, have closed their doors in America and transferred the core of their manufacturing to Canada, China, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Pakistan, and the emerging economies of Central and South America.

Over the last week we have sadly witnessed the first tragic spasms of the death throes of the automobile industry in the United States. Where are the mourners? To the 47,600 hourly auto workers who were forced to accept severance packages from GM and its subsidiary Delphi, they wondered: where were the United Auto Workers? Over the past year, GM closed a dozen plants in North America, terminated hundreds of white collar workers, reduced salaries on those lucky enough to still have a job, and shifted much of the health care costs from the company to the hourly retirees who were not in a position to protest. To 113 thousand GM workers, it was a heart-wrenching decision—take early retirement or wait for the ax to fall. Most of them initially looked to the UAW to save their jobs, but there were no jobs left to save—and the UAW, which is now part of a UN-NGO under the AFL-CIO—and the labor unions lacked the power to bring management to the bargaining table since all of the furniture had already been moved to the new factories in the America south of the border.

The buyout packages for US GM workers ranged from a low of $70,000 to a high of $140,000. Industry analysts told the media that the $3.8 billion buyout package is probably the largest buyout in corporate history. Employees taking the buyout take it in lieu of post-retirement benefits, including health care. However, those employees who have vested pension benefits would receive them. Anyone taking early retirement will receive a lump sum settlement of $35,000 and their normal pension and health care benefits at age 65 or 30 years of service to GM. While 46,900 GM employees agreed to the settlement, only 4,600 took the cash buyout. The balance took early retirement.

General Motors lost $10.6 billion last year. The buyout is expected to help GM recoup $8 billion this year. Ford Motor Company is experiencing the same problem and will offer their hourly employees the same deal later this year. Eighty-seven thousand Ford employees will be eligible. Where Ford estimates that 11,000 employees will take the company's buyout offer, based on GM, it is likely that 30,000 Ford employees will take the buyout. There is an ominous reality taking place that is foreboding omen of the future of the labor union in America. Union employees cost GM about $81 an hour in fiscal year 2005 when you combine income and benefits—or about $168 thousand per employee without considering overtime. As GM and Ford jettisons the expensive union workers, they will replace many of them with part-time temps who will be paid $18 to $20 an hour without benefits, and bringing the US facilities in line with competition around the world. In 1970 the UAW had 1,5 million members. A year ago, UAW membership was around 600 thousand. Within another year, it will be around half that, sapping the union of its strength. Big Three contracts are up for renewal next year. The UAW is already preparing for battle, but its been forced to move $60 million from its strike fund into its general operating fund to offset the loss of dues this buyout will cause. How much clout does the UAW still have? The average Big Three hourly employee is 50 years old. If the union attempts to leverage Ford, Chrysler or GM, the Big Three will offer another round of buyouts and kill the union.

As much of a financial blow the buyout has been to the UAW, the real economic impact will be felt by the cities that were home to GM. They are going to experience a devastating revenue drain as 46,900 GM paychecks won't be cashed and spent each week. And, by years' end, another 30 thousand Ford paychecks won't be buying groceries at the local supermarket in Dearborn; or buying new clothes, or making mortgage payments or installment payments on a new refrigerator or plasma TV.

But even more, when all of the jobs are exported, what will be gone from the United States will be the industrial readiness that allows a nation to change from peacetime to wartime production overnight. Our capacity to convert raw materials into steel, and steel into ships, tanks, airplanes and guns will be gone because our steel industry is gone. Our airplane factories are almost gone—and what planes Boeing and Lockheed are making today have been sold to the People's Republic of China.

GM asked the question: what do Americans want? Let me answer them. More than anything else, Americans want to be secure in their homes—and their nation. They want their borders sealed. They want enough US Border Patrol agents on the wall to keep the illegals on the other side of the border. They want the border sealed tight enough that no more jobs can be exported. And more than anything, Americans want those American branded products that are manufactured in China and routed through Mexico to Brownsville, Texas to be hit with a tariff wall so extreme that the slave labor Chinese goods will cost so much that they will rot on the shelves at Wal-Mart.

What do Americans want? They want politicians to stop lying to them. They want politicians to protect their country from the transnational profiteers who are creating a global new world order controlled by greedy men who want to send our jobs to the emerging nations where tomorrow's consumers have nothing and need everything—except a paycheck. What do Americans want? More than anything else, they want to keep their jobs—and paychecks—in America because it was the investment of their sweat equity that built the corporations that are now exporting their jobs to the third world.

US CONGRESS, ACCESSORY TO MURDER, RAPE AND THEFT

The US Congress has long been an agent of death for many American citizens by refusing to properly secure our borders and take lawful action directed against illegal aliens, many of whom are potential and actual criminals. Border control is essential to the security and integrity of any nation. To allow millions to illegally cross our borders is malfeasance of duty by those charged with this responsibility. Congress is the elected body hired to makes our laws, levy federal taxes, and fund the enforcement of those laws. The US senate recently passed a bill of over 500 pages that would essentially grant amnesty to millions of illegal border crossers including murderers, rapists, thieves, drug users, and potential terrorists who are in violation of US laws.

The enemies of our nation, the Democratic Party, and some Republicans, including Senator John McCain, are working closely together to destroy the Constitutional principles our founding fathers put in place to keep and govern this republic. The facts are conclusive: Congress knows that some illegals aliens are slaughtering Americans on our highways, brutally raping American women, murdering citizens at will, committing theft, carrying exotic third world diseases, and stealing both social services from hospitals and other benefits from US taxpayers. This isn’t a new phenomenon; it has been an ongoing national disaster prior to an amnesty granted in 1986. Murder, rape, theft, drugs, disease and death are unpleasant words, but these are the things Congress has unleashed on our nation and its citizens. Many of the victims of these crimes are no longer able to speak for themselves, because they died at the hands of an illegal alien. Congress’ failure to see that border laws are fully enforced, its reluctance to deport illegal aliens, and its knowing that businesses have hired illegals with impunity shows its contempt for this republic and existing federal border control laws.

Thus Congress has become an accessory to murder, rape, and other heinous crimes against American citizens as will be shown in this article. Congress acts as an enemy of the republic; it’s at war with its own people; it is a body of elected officials full of socialists, communists, and self servers (liberals) all with an agenda of invalidating the Constitution and making the US a total welfare state and part of a one world government. It has become the enemy of the principle of freedom and those who wish to be freemen. There is a great gulf between Edward Kennedy, John McCain, Arlen Specter, and this nation’s founders that include George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Patrick Henry.

Americans Die Because Congress Hasn’t Done Its Job

By its willful negligence to secure the United States borders, Congress has become an accessory to the following crimes and many others against American citizens who had real names, families, and lives to live. The following case histories are factual, verifiable, and just a sample of the carnage that has been and is being released by our Congress upon this nation. An attractive young woman named Joyce Dargan of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, was run down going to a mail box by a 14-year old illegal alien racing another vehicle. Scott Gardner, a school teacher, had his life cut short by an illegal drunken driver. Dallas, Texas, Police Officer Brian Jackson’s death was a direct result of Congress’ open border fiasco. Brian was shot and killed by an illegal alien from Mexico. Min Soon Chang was only 18, a University of North Carolina freshman; he was struck head on by a drunken illegal alien. The probability is that if the borders had been secured, Joyce, Scott, Brian, Min Soon, and so many others would still be alive today enjoying their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness as written in the US Constitution. These rights were stolen from these individuals by a corrupt United States Congress.

A Child Is Raped, Because Congress Didn’t Lock The Door

Pedro Guzman Muñoz, a 21-year old illegal alien, is accused of raping a 10-year old child, and police want him. Many illegal aliens commit crimes against US citizens and then flee back into Mexico to avoid punishment. Pharr, Texas, police Lt. Guadalupe Salinas said, "We think he went back to Mexico because he's an undocumented immigrant, (illegal alien) but we don't know.”

The child three months pregnant was taken to a Children's Advocacy Care Center. The public must ask who is going to be held accountable for the costs of this rape. The parents don’t have money because they took their child to an advocacy care center. If caught and convicted of rape, Pedro will go to prison for perhaps 10 years or more. Pedro isn’t going to pay for anything, as Pedro has nothing. The child and her baby will go on welfare for the foreseeable future. Besides the human misery, this one incident can cost taxpayers in Texas and the US hundreds of thousands of dollars because an illegal alien has been able to cross the border at will. The illegals are bringing unprecedented crime into the United States as millions have and are sneaking across the border into the USA, the biggest free candy land the world has ever known. The USA is the home of the all day sucker where Congress makes laws to tax the industrious and gives to the poor after scooping its cut off the top. Citizens who fail to pay their taxes will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and illegal aliens are not subject to the same laws Congress mandates citizens to obey.

Congress Creates Identity Theft

Illegal Aliens use forged and stolen documents to obtain green cards and employment. They are a ready market for identity theft rapidly growing into a national disaster for tens of millions of Americans. The noteworthy case of Audra Schmierer recently made national news. She decided to get back into the work force and made an application for employment at a temp agency. She found out that someone was already using her social security number. In fact, at least 81 someones, (illegal aliens) in 17 states were using her number. Businesses that hired the illegal aliens didn’t care. The Social Security Administration (SSA) didn’t care. The SSA took her 14 years of payments off the books (stole) putting her at zero payments into social security and wouldn’t issue her a new card. The IRS tried to bill her for back taxes run up by illegal aliens (cheating the system) though they eventually gave that up. Using a fraudulent social security number is a felony and no one in government wants to prosecute, in fact no one in government really cares. Audra may be fortunate that none of the illegal aliens who bought her social security number didn’t come back and murder her. After all, dead people don’t file complaints and make trouble for identity thieves. Meanwhile members of Congress quietly accepted another salary boost of $3,300 bringing their annual salary to $168,500.

Will John McCain Cause You or a Family Member An Untimely Death?

The rape of a child is a particularly heinous offense. If an individual was proven to have acted as an accessory to any crime, he would be indicted, prosecuted, and convicted. The same law that applies to citizens applies to senators and representatives. No one is supposed to be above the law. Do Senators Kennedy, McCain, Specter and the infamous 55 senators who voted for the recent senate amnesty bill really care? Of course not, the millions of illegal aliens they would like to give amnesty to include many criminals who are and will continue to prey upon the American citizen. These illegals don’t care about this republic; they want jobs not citizenship, and the Congressmen who support the amnesty bills want their votes. If it costs you, a neighbor, or a stranger their life, what’s it to your Congressman? They don’t care about the American victims of crime by illegal aliens, or they would have secured our borders long ago. The border door is still propped open for more illegals to devastate our society as pompous Congressmen strut and crow in front of news cameras and microphones filling the evening news with balderdash and gabble for the nightly feeding of the masses.

US Attorney General Speaks With Forked Tongue

The number one cop in Washington D.C. in charge of enforcing federal law is Hispanic Attorney General Alberto Gonzales. Gonzales claims to be interested in the security of the United States. Recently he gave his opinion that reporters can be held legally accountable for publishing information the government has classified. Gonzales said, “We have an obligation to enforce those laws. We have an obligation to ensure that our national security is protected." Yes, Mr. Gonzales, tell that to Dallas Texas Police Officer Brian Jackson whose untimely death was attributed to our open border policy.

Congress And Common Law

Congress can’t escape being an accessory in the death of American citizens at the hands of illegal aliens and the rape of women and children. Anyone or group that makes a rape possible is an accessory to the crime of rape or any crime for that matter. The common law rule on accessory after the fact requires that a defendant have knowledge that a felony was committed and aided or assisted the felon in some way to avoid being caught by the authorities. Congress has knowledge of the crimes being committed by illegal aliens, does gives assistance by not enforcing existing border laws, and the senate is vigorously attempting to give amnesty to millions of illegals, thus meeting the criteria for an accessory after the fact.

With the borders still open, illegal aliens, criminal elements, terrorists, and drugs all have access into the United States. Drugs crossing the US border are a subject Congress doesn’t say a lot about. An article by Frosty Wooldridge reports that the staggering figure of $128 billion in illegal drugs enters this country annually from Mexico. That’s a lot of money and a lot of payoffs to allow it to happen. Is your congressman being paid off? Is that why millions of illegals have been able to cross the borders into the United States?

Congress Snorts At Federal Law

There are many existing federal laws that are not being enforced by Congress and Attorney General Gonzales. The laws are explicit, and the penalties for violation of these laws are clearly stated in the US code. For example US Code § 1324 states: “(1) (A) (iv) Any person who encourages or induces an alien to come to, enter, or reside in the United States, knowing or in reckless disregard of the fact that such coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of law.” Mexico encourages its poor to violate US law. Anyone who hires an illegal alien does so contrary to statute, and threatens this republic’s sovereignty for the savings of a few dollars. Peter Nunez, a former U.S. attorney in San Diego, said, “It is an indictment of how badly Congress and presidents (Bush and others) have handled the immigration system (regarding the prosecution of illegal alien smugglers).

Congress has failed to secure the US borders and follow existing US law. Entering the country illegally can result in 6 months in prison and $250,000 fine. Aiding in the crime of bringing an illegal alien has a similar fine and a 5 year prison sentence. Once ordered deported an illegal is charged $500 a day until he is deported. The trouble with this is that illegals have no money and 5 years in prison will cost American taxpayers $150,000 or more. Instead each member of Congress should be jailed for 5 years and fined $250,000. A good start would be with Edward Kennedy, John McCain, and Arlan Specter. Congressional members are no paragons of virtue.

Congress’s Alliance With The Grim Reaper

This republic has many enemies including the home grown variety now being exposed in the US Congress. They support the disintegration of our republic by allowing millions of illegal aliens into this nation and are attempting to give them amnesty for their trouble. They in league with the grim reaper bring death to Americans. When the Hispanics marched by the millions in our large cities they correctly said, “Today we march; tomorrow we vote.” Congressional liberals know quite well that if these millions of illegals are given amnesty for whom they will vote. The communists, liberals, and radical Hispanic groups are prepared to exploit this situation in their hopes of shaking this nation off its Constitution foundation. Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo, had this to say on borders. “I have proudly affirmed that the Mexican nation extends beyond the territory enclosed by its borders and that Mexican migrants (and illegal aliens) are an important - a very important - part of this." Already 10 percent of Mexico’s poor, hungry, uneducated, and sick have left that country and are now in the United States. That percentage continues to grow every day due to twenty plus years of inadequate border control. The fault is not that of the US Border Patrol which has been under funded, understaffed, and overregulated by a corrupt US Congress.

Betrayal At The Highest Levels

Theodore Roosevelt said, “Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President or any other public official save exactly to the degree in which he himself stands by the country. It is patriotic to support him insofar as he efficiently serves the country. It is unpatriotic not to oppose him (or any other public official) to the exact extent that by inefficiency or otherwise he fails in his duty to stand by the country.”

Congress has turned a deaf ear to the voice of the people, the Constitution, and the defense and preservation of the republic. Congress does not have the consent of the people to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and give them the power of the vote, a free ride to the hospital, and the local welfare agency. It does not have the consent of the people to ignore the total security of our borders imperiling our, “Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness.” We have an out of control Congress that is akin to King George, (1776) that knows not the meaning of the word patriotism, has and is betraying our country, and is an accessory to murder, rape, and theft.

Pro-life advocates are concerned about investment guru Warren Buffett's massive donation to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation because of the Microsoft founder's support for abortion.

The Gates Foundation has given the Planned Parenthood Federation of America almost $12.5 million since 1998, including funds to persuade teens to support abortion and to lobby the United Nations to advance pro-abortion proposals, reported LifeNews.com

The foundation also has given nearly $21 million to International Planned Parenthood over the last seven years, where funds have been used to promote abortions in third-world nations and to set up pro-abortion family planning centers in South America, Africa and Eastern Europe.


Buffet, whose wealth is second only to Gates', has announced he will leave about 80 percent of his estate to the Gates Foundation.

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life women's network Susan B. Anthony List lamented Buffett's decision.

"It's tragic that much of Warren Buffett's billion-dollar attempt to improve the lives of people around the world is actually going to fund organizations that take the lives of unborn children and encourage others to do the same," said Dannenfelser.

Beginning next month, Buffett, 75, will make annual contributions to the foundation through stock options.

Buffett, chairman and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, will give the Gates Foundation more than 12 million shares of his company's stock, according to the Associated Press. At just over $3,000 per share, it would add $37 billion to the Gates Foundation's $29 billion, making it the world's largest charity.

Bill and Melinda Gates also have spent millions promoting abortion in their home state, having given nearly $2 million to Planned Parenthood of Central Washington and Planned Parenthood of Western Washington to fund abortion centers.

The Gates Foundation also gave the Planned Parenthood Federation of Canada more than $1.3 million.

"The tragedy of Bill Gates' support of abortion and population control is that technology leads to development," said Steven Mosher, president of the Population Research Institute, according to LifeNews.com

"Unfortunately, the developing world will grow old before it develops because of population control. Gates, in supporting population control, is out of step with other great minds who have viewed people as humanity's greatest resource," Mosher said.

At Microsoft's 2003 annual shareholders meeting, Mosher's group failed to win approval for a motion to stop Microsoft from directly contributing to charities, citing its support for Planned Parenthood.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (AP) - Up to 200,000 people in the Wilkes-Barre area were ordered to evacuate their homes Wednesday because of rising water on the Susquehanna River, swelled by a record-breaking deluge that has killed at least 12 people across the Northeast.

Thousands more were ordered to leave their homes in New Jersey, New York and Maryland. Rescue helicopters plucked residents from rooftops as rivers and streams surged over their banks, washed out roads and bridges, and cut off villages in some of the worst flooding in the region in decades, with more rain in the forecast for the rest of the week.

Wilkes-Barre, a city of 43,000 in northeastern Pennsylvania coal-mining country, was devastated by deadly flooding in 1972 from the remnants of Hurricane Agnes. It is protected by levees, and officials said the Susquehanna was expected to crest just a few feet from the tops of the 41-foot floodwalls.

But Luzerne County Commissioner Todd Vonderheid said officials were worried about the effects of water pressing against the levees for 48 hours. The floodwalls were completed just three years ago.

"It is honestly precautionary," Vonderheid said. "We have great faith the levees are going to hold."

An estimated 150,000 to 200,000 people in the county of about 351,000 were told to get out by nightfall. The evacuation order applied to more than half the residents of Wilkes-Barre, as well residents of several outlying towns, all of them flooded by Agnes more than three decades ago.

Laura Lockman, 42, of Wilkes-Barre packed a car and planned to clear out along with her husband, three kids and a puppy named Pebbles. They were not ordered to evacuate their brick home, a half-mile from the Susquehanna, but were going to nearby Scranton anyway for the children's safety. Their home was inundated in 1972, when water reached the second floor.

"I just want to get out of here. I just want to be safe, that's all," she said.

A dozen helicopters from the Pennsylvania National Guard, the state police and the Coast Guard were sent on search-and-rescue missions, plucking stranded residents from rooftops in Bloomsburg, Sayre and New Milford. Hundreds of National Guardsmen prepared to distribute ice, water and meals ready to eat.

Flooding closed many roads in the Philadelphia area, including the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

"We lost just about everything - the cars, the clothes, even the baby's crib," said James Adams, who evacuated his family's home near Binghamton, N.Y., after watching their shed float away and their cars get submerged. "I'm not sure what we are going to do."

Elsewhere in the Binghamton area, an entire house floated down the Susquehanna. After touring the region by helicopter, New York Gov. George Pataki estimated that property damage in his state would total at least $100 million.

The soaking weather was produced by a low-pressure system that has been stalled just offshore since the weekend and pumped moist tropical air northward along the East Coast. A record 4.05 inches of rain fell Tuesday at Binghamton. During the weekend, the same system drenched the Washington and Baltimore region with more than a foot of rain.

Although the bulk of the rain moved out of the area Wednesday, streams were still rising from the runoff, and forecasters said more showers and occasional thunderstorms were possible along the East Coast for the rest of the week.

Earlier this week, floodwaters in the nation's capital closed the National Archives, the IRS, the Justice Department and other major government buildings, and toppled a 100-year-old elm tree on the White House lawn. The National Archives, several Smithsonian museums and some government office buildings were still closed Wednesday.

The National Archives moved in giant dehumidifiers to preserve its historic documents. "The threat to the records is not floodwater, but humidity from the lack of air conditioning," spokeswoman Susan Cooper said Wednesday.

An estimated 2,200 people were ordered to evacuate the area around Lake Needwood at Rockville, Md., which was approaching 25 feet above normal. Engineers reported weakened spots on the lake's earthen dam.

A swollen creek carved a 25-foot-deep chasm through all four lanes of Interstate 88, about 35 miles northeast of Binghamton, N.Y., and two truckers were killed early Wednesday when their rigs plunged into the gaps, officials said.

Thousands of people were evacuated from communities across New York state, and whole villages north of Binghamton County were isolated by high water.

Along the Delaware River, more than 1,000 people left low-lying areas of Trenton, N.J., and state employees in buildings along the river left work early.

Trenton's water filtration system was shut down because of debris floating down the Delaware, and Mayor Doug Palmer called for conservation, saying the city had only about two days of drinkable water. The river was expected to crest Friday at nearly 8 feet over flood stage, the fourth-highest level on record for Trenton.

The weather was blamed for four deaths each in Maryland and Pennsylvania, one in Virginia and three in New York, including the two truckers.

The Agnes flood caused 50 deaths and more than $2 billion in damage in Pennsylvania, and remains the worst natural disaster in state history. It left 20,000 families homeless in Wilkes-Barre and surrounding Luzerne County towns.

Afterward, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers undertook one of the most ambitious flood-control projects east of the Mississippi River, raising the existing levees by 3 to 5 feet. The $200 million project was finally completed in 2003.

GAZA (Reuters) - A spokesman for gunmen in the Gaza Strip said they had fired a rocket tipped with a chemical warhead at Israel early on Thursday.

The Israeli army had no immediate comment on the claim by the spokesman from the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an armed wing of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement.

The group had recently claimed to possess about 20 biological warheads for the makeshift rockets commonly fired from Gaza at Israeli towns. This was the first time the group had claimed firing such a rocket.

"The al-Aqsa Brigades have fired one rocket with a chemical warhead" at southern Israel, Abu Qusai, a spokesman for the group, said in Gaza.

An Israeli military spokeswoman said the army had not detected that any such rocket was fired, nor was there any report of such a weapon hitting Israel.

An "emotionally aware" computer system designed to read people's minds by analysing expressions will be featured at a major London exhibition.
Visitors to the Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition are being invited to help "train" the computer how to read joy, anger and other expressions.

Its designers say there are potential commercial uses, such as picking the right time to sell someone something.

But it may also help improve driver safety and help people with autism.

The computer, which is connected to a camera, locates and tracks 24 facial "feature points" such as the edge of the nose, the eyebrows and the corners of the mouth.

A total of 20 key facial movements - including a nod or shake of the head, a raise of the eyebrow or a pull on the corner of the mouth - have been identified.

Combinations of these movements, which are thought to represent underlying emotions, are then fed into software and used to detect the same facial combinations in real-life situations.

Subtle variations

Peter Robinson, professor of computer technology at the University of Cambridge, said: "The system can already cope with the variation in people's facial composition; for example, if you have a round or thin face, or if you wear glasses or have a beard.

"However, there are small variations in the way people express the same emotion."

The scientists have been "training" the recognition system by using actors to make different facial expressions. They hope the exhibition will generate valuable new data to improve the programme's ability to read faces.

Professor Robinson added: "Our research could enable websites to tailor advertising or products to your mood."

For example, he explained, software linked to a webcam could process a person's image, encode the correct emotional state and transmit the information to a website, which could then display products or advertising.

Dashboard aid

The technology is also being developed for use in cars to improve driver safety. The team is recording the faces of volunteers in driving situations and monitoring facial movements to identify more complex expressions linked to confusion, boredom or tiredness.

"We are working with a big car company and they envision this being employed in cars within five years," Professor Robinson said, adding that a camera could be built into the dashboard.

The team is also working with colleagues at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to develop a wearable version of the system, to help those with conditions, such as autism and Asperger's syndrome, who have particular difficulty in reading other people's facial expressions and emotions.

The headset, which is at its first prototype stage, would interpret other people's moods and communicate those to the wearer.

The Royal Society Summer Science Exhibition runs from Monday 3 July to Thursday 6 July at The Royal Society, 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1Y 5AG.

Israeli artillery also opened up from the tank emplacements at Nahalf Oz, Kisufim and Sufa to prevent the Palestinians shooting Qassam missiles . The Israeli incursion followed breakdown of diplomatic efforts to negotiate the Israeli corporal’s release. Palestinians have been setting up sand barriers sown with explosives and mining routes in the path of Israeli tanks and armor and building concealed firing positions.

Prior to January, 2004 the Borders of the United States had become a war zone. U.S. Border Patrol Agents had been shot at by automatic weapons fire from Mexico. Narcotics loads were protected by Mexican military and illegal immigration was a daily invasion in Arizona. Rural residents had been assaulted, carjacked, homes invaded and still there was little concern in Washington. On the 11th of March, 2003, a cadaver was found a mile east of the Diamond Bell Ranch, our home. The body was a homicide victim. In Cochise County, a rural resident was shot at, his home riddled by AK-47 rounds from agitated Mexican narcotics smugglers. His travel trailer that was used to block access to his ranch property was burned to the ground.

Abandoned back packs, human trash and water bottles would fill a thousand dump-trucks, on border smuggling trails, yet politicians could not and would not make any decisions in 2003 other than ignore the situation and create a guest worker plan. The guest worker plan, which amounts to stealth Amnesty was proposed by Arizona Senator John McCain and announced by President Bush in December 2003. By the end of January 2004, the U.S. Border Patrol had arrested 34,342 illegal aliens in Tucson Sector. 16,579 were arrested in Cochise County, the majority crossing illegally in response to the President’s address. The Border Patrol and local law enforcement agencies were overwhelmed. Crimes against citizens also increased.

Politicians over the past several decades have played a key role in the current Immigration mess. It just didn't happen over night. It's easier to create a new agency or renew a failed past policy than solve the problem. There were 2.3 million alien Immigration overstay visas in the United States in 2003. Four of the Terrorist Hijackers on September 11, 2001 were also overstays. The newly created Bureau of Customs and Immigration in 2003 found, arrested and deported 300 aliens on visa violations. 150 were arrested and charged with crimes. 14,000 aliens were ordered to appear for deportation hearings. It's the same situation as the old defunct I&NS. There were 350,000 illegal aliens in 2003 that had deportation orders , absconded and are still in the United States while thousands continued to enter the U.S. daily in the South West. In 2006, little has changed.

In 2004, I proposed a few law enforcement common sense answers to the Border crisis which are: PRIOR TO ANOTHER AMNESTY which will only increase illegal immigration or a Guest Worker program that can not now be controlled or monitored, hire enough investigators to accomplish the job. Control the Borders first. Currently 2,000 Immigration Special Agents are trying to enforce the laws with priorities on Terrorist threats in a ocean of illegal aliens which is growing hourly and daily. They cannot respond to labor sanctions violations or establish area control in large cities without additional help and support from Congress, which has never been a priority on the Beltway from either Democrats or Republicans.

1. Promises of jobs, social services entice illegals to enter. When the President of the United States welcomes illegal aliens, in violation of law, they will continue to enter from every nation, friend and foe alike.

Stop the free handouts to all illegal aliens. They are bankrupting many states including Arizona for health costs.

2. Enforce labor sanctions laws to the letter established by Congress in 1986.

In 2003 only 37 companies were fined for hiring illegal aliens with 200,000 or more known to be flagrant violators. Jobs for the working class citizens in the U.S. should be always be a priority.

3. Control our Borders with additional personnel and equipment, unmanned aerial vehicles, infrared scopes, FLIRs. Utilize available Military assistance.

In 1989, the Anti-Drug Abuse Act allowed the military for Border Enforcement missions. The first obligation of the Federal Government is to defend it's people against all enemies with the strongest defense system in the world. The Borders of the U.S. are a matter of national security for this nation and a part of our defense.

4. Abolish the Executive Office for Immigration Review which creates more problems than are ever resolved and places criminals back on the streets.

The Executive Office for Immigration Review, a U.S. funded litigation bureau that operates solely to make a federal case out of the deportation of every illegal alien or criminal alien resident in this country provides appeals which takes years. The criminal classes of aliens are rarely deported and roam free in society or assume another name and disappear at their option.

5. Enforce the Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, Section 642.

If cities choose to remain Sanctuary cities for illegal aliens, remove federal funding. It is a national security issue, not municipal “ feel good policies”.

6. Republican Representative Charlie Norwood of Georgia’s CLEAR ACT would give Police Officers authority to enforce Federal Immigration laws.

There are over 650,000 police officers in the United States that could provide greatly needed assistance with immigration law enforcement. A large majority of organized gangs from L.A. to major cities, nationwide are composed of illegal aliens including MS-13, a violent El Salvadorian/Honduran criminal gang cadre.

7. Political Appointees with little experience have usually been Commissioners of the Immigration Service which led to an inept Agency. Appoint people with knowledge of the job, Immigration laws and law enforcement leadership experience, not a political puppet controlled by administration agendas.

8. Enforce all established Criminal provisions on the books relating to Human Trafficking, 8 USC 1324. No new laws are needed. Human Traffickers that are part of a multi-million dollar criminal system rarely receive maximum sentences in Federal Courts. The law states a $5,000 fine and 5 years in prison for each smuggled alien under 8 USC 1324. Most human smugglers receive a light sentence and a harsh admonishment or credit for time served in court.

The Judicial System has rarely imposed maximum sentencing guidelines unless death is involved. There is no incentive for a smuggler to cease criminal activities. The monetary rewards outweigh the risks of being arrested, as opposed to smuggling narcotics. Overstay Visas are also a problem that should be investigated as well as identity theft, false identification, social security fraud. Elected Representatives and Senators love to state that the problem is beyond the ability to fix, so make all lawbreakers legal, then control the Borders is their answer. The United States Government has allowed 47 Mexican Consular Offices to pass out 301,620 matricular consular identification cards to illegals in the States from March 2001 through December 2003.

The cards cannot establish true identity and only show that the bearer is an illegal alien. Countless Illegal aliens have been arrested with numerous cards under different names, which is a national security issue. A lawfully admitted alien from Mexico or any country has official U.S. Government documents.

9. Hold and formally Deport all Criminal Classes of Illegal Aliens, felons.

No bonds for release should be allowed and if they re-enter this nation, impose the maximum sentence under 8 USC 1326.

10. Get tough with Mexico. The massive illegal immigration problem is prompted by Mexican Politics that will not face economic reform in their own nation and use the United States as an safety outlet. NAFTA was created in 1993 to largely help the Mexican economy. The Government of Mexico taxes businesses to excess which kills job growth. In over ten years the economy south of the Border has grown by only 1.2 per cent. The United States was a Sovereign nation not an extension of Mexico or political policies formulated by President Fox. Our nation's best interests should always be a priority for our citizens and lawfully admitted aliens first and always.

The ten important points were presented to the G.O.P. national party chairman in 2004 from a law enforcement agent and citizen’s prospective. Due to many queries from news with views readers on solutions not just the problems of illegal immigration, I wanted to pass on a few “oldies but goodie” answers to all.

Since the American people have lost their courage, morality, and ability to learn or care about history, the efforts of those who work tirelessly to provide the truth of America’s conquering becomes, at some point, rather pointless – minus the fact that this nation is full of children.

The proof positive that Americans could care less is most prominently demonstrated by the fact that most parents still send their children into public education camps to ensure their children’s social-global re-engineering. By doing so, they ensure America’s demise – almost as if they desired their children’s freedom and rights to end.

On that note, it is best said that “freedom and rights” have been all but an illusion to begin with. Freedom for “the people” was attempted in our new nation, but the same old aristocratic/elite corruptions were in full play even during the birth pangs of our country. There has never been anything new in history when it comes to the world’s aristocracies. They have always wanted to rule the world, and they believe in superior bloodlines and inferior all others. However, this extremely historical and simple concept is to too tough for American people to grasp. Our children will pay dearly for this stunning ignorance. Think the global eugenic mission of de-population by 2/3rd to 3/4ths…

Many people over the years have written to me and relayed beliefs that all efforts by American patriots are pointless due to the incompetence of our countrymen. I have argued this point diligently. I have stated that the poor public is simply a victim of lying and deceiving politicians, the monopoly of global economics, the complicit public education system, and the total corruption of mass media and their transnational corporate owner-handlers. I have felt sincerely sorry for the American people. However, I don’t feel this way anymore. Instead, I feel betrayed by stupidity and apathy, by the blank looks and faces, and the failure of faith in God, righteousness, truth, and justice. American people would rather pick a political party and stick to historical lies than lift a finger, read legislation, read a book, or arm themselves with the facts of America’s demise. They don’t give a damn. And that, in itself, is quite interesting.

Today, American people don’t want to talk about politics. They really, really don’t want to talk about politics. They know the nation is going down, but having allowed this little piece of history to transpire while sitting back and doing nothing to stop it, they are shame-based into abject silences. For what can they possibly say besides, “I did nothing, whatsoever, for the future of my children.”

I, for one, and along side many, many others, have worked day and night, 7 days a week, for years on end, to bring information to the American people. I’m not a genius, a saint, or even an activist. I live in a tiny house. I work for low wages, and I struggle each and every day to get by. I have re-routed my life and hours around homeschooling and bringing information to the public. I have sacrificed money and all finer things in order to serve my nation.

In the earlier years, I had no doubt that once the American people realized that their Constitution and government was falling, they/we would all rise together to get the usurpers and tyrants under control. I had no doubt that armed with such truth as Agenda 21, NAFTA, CAFTA, FTAA, GATT, the Earth Charter, Goals 2000, the New Freedom Initiative on Mental Health, the CFR/Trilateral Commission/Skull and Bones intentions and missions; UNESCO, the WTO, the World Bank, the World Court, the consolidation of all military forces under the U.N., the military base closings in the U.S. and the building of all new military bases on foreign soil, the raising of all the new paramilitary systems in the U.S. including all the new civilian labor camps, 911; Mad Cow, Avian Flu, AIDS, and the complete national demoralization by television and all other forms of “entertainment,” that the American people would step up to the plate and get their politicians and commissions under control. I was wrong.

I recall a line from Joni Mitchell, which goes, “I’ve got a head full of quandary and a mighty, mighty thirst.” That’s how I feel today – having too much knowledge, singing to the choir, while the blank faces of my countrymen confirm their refusal to care. I talked to one of my nieces the other day. She is of the privileged class. She has everything money could buy. I have sent her things to read over the years, which – all in total – would have taken perhaps 2 or 3 hours to read. She said to me, and I quote, “I just can’t read it, Nance… my brain just doesn’t want to deal with it.” She has a 9-year-old child.

I concede. I get it. I realize that Americans are not interested. They will go to work, cut the grass, decorate their houses, go to spas, go to movies and watch TV, but they will not defend freedom – even if it was just a hope and prayer of some of our Founding Fathers. Well, time marches on, as does the history of the world. We have learned nothing as American people because we chose to learn nothing. For myself, I will continue to sing to the choir. I want my children and grandchildren to know that I cared about their futures and that I tried. One day, I (and others like me) will be silenced in one way or another. We all anticipate the day when we can no longer voice our opinions or relay facts to the public. Multiple silencing missions are on several global burners, and we all know our days as volunteer public servants are numbered. Many of us have already lost our rights to fly on airplanes and our Internet rights. But, hopefully, some of our writings will survive the New World Order of aristocratic design. Perhaps they will inspire another generation in another place and time.

In history, the American people will be the world’s laughing stock – particularly to the elitist families who conquered our nation so easily from within with weapons of debt, mindless entertainments, and other pretenses of freedom. What a way to go. And in spite of the fact that your brains just don’t want to deal with it, try to muster the energy and/or gumption to see Aaron Russo’s film called From Freedom to Fascism. It’s a movie. You can all sit on your asses while watching. However, be forewarned – your brains will be stimulated. Take an anti-depressant immediately following the movie, and book an appointment for a massage to get the kinks out of your shame and guilt. Then go buy your children some more video games. After all, “freedom’s just another word for nothing left to loose.” If in doubt, ask your “representatives” – the ones’ whose names you don’t even know.

In response to one of my recent articles, someone said that we, the people, are powerless. I take issue with the term “powerless.” Spineless is a better word. Knowing what we know, or even sensing that something is wildly wrong in this nation, to continue to allow American elites to plan, scheme, and legislate is beyond all comprehension. I may be singing to the choir, but every American IS the choir. Our national problem is that America is not singing, in unison, the tar and feather song. Globalist politicians, bankers, and commissions must be dethroned. Deal with that or suffer all consequences.

Devvy Kidd wonders what happened to the men in this country. I concur, wondering wholeheartedly how the male gender can cut grass, while their children are trained in schools for slavery. And I wonder how women can decorate homes and selves in emulation of their elitist enslavers. Spineless – not powerless; sidetracking and ignoring, and hoping it will all go away – that is the reality of our nation’s demise – thanks to the cowardly condition of American people. We are the choir. Sing now or forever have no peace.

This will be a planned order with heavily restricted individual freedom, without Constitutional protection, without national boundaries or cultural distinction.”[1] Therefore, The Order controls Republican Bonesmen and Democrat Bonesmen.

The Order’s methodology is a strict adherence to Hegelian Dialectics. Apply those dialectics to the two political parties. Essentially, political parties are artificial groupings designed to create division. A contrived choice between two bad options, without recognizing alternative better options, creates the perception of freedom. Supposedly opposing ideologies generates deliberate distraction and polarizations (as in divide and conquer). The very public, distracting, lengthy, increasingly hostile battle between the Republicans, posing as thesis, and the Democrats posing as antithesis is nothing but orchestrated opposition. Elections, staged for the masses, are completely irrelevant political soap operas. Domestic and foreign policies remain precisely the same despite which puppet president is in office.

Despite popular misconceptions, our government is supposed to be a representative Republic (not a democracy). In both democracies and Republics people vote. That single act does not make you free. Those who finagle their way into office are supposed to represent the voters who allegedly put them there. They are also supposed to sustain an invariable written law – the Constitution which mandates civil law and our response to it. The non-negotiable Constitution is our explicit gauge of right and wrong, applicable to all without special considerations for occupations such as politicians, sports stars or “insider” corporate criminals or race. Since Woodrow Wilson, we have descended into a Socialistic democracy (adaptable mob rule, adjustable laws and poll driven public opinions). All democracies, in which selective enforcement of law is rampant, are short lived, for they typically morph into oppressive tyrannies.

“Whenever laws are passed, under whatever form, if they do not represent the will of the majority of the people or their desires, then they represent oppression. That is to say, we in America today have an oppressive government because it passes laws against the will of the people. Thus, we no longer have a Republic. A strong case can be made that America in the 21st century is an Empire, as was Britain in the 19th. Any government that would even consider an issue as ludicrous as ‘hate crimes,’ i.e. the concept of policing thought, is in very serious jeopardy.”[2]

Of the three branches of government, only the legislative branch is authorized to make law. Presidential executive orders have been unconstitutionally used to make law. The Judicial branch, the Supreme Court, is supposed to interpret the constitutionality of a law. Rather, they invent new interpretations never envisioned by the founding fathers. “It is the duty of the Supreme Court to interpret the constitution as ratified by the states, not to invent preposterous meanings which were not originally intended by the authors. The judiciary makes law through changing precedents as well as by invention, neither of which are constitutionally authorized.”[3]

Of the choices in 2004 we had two professional politicians, members of the same silver-spooned secret society whose dedicated function is the destruction of the country, pretending to relate to the working masses while the media sheltered the compromised loyalties of the candidates and ignored any other possibilities. We have already arrived at synthesis – a merging of the two parties into one which favors mammoth government, unrestrained illegals, out-of-control deficit spending, high taxes, continued abortion, big brother spying, loss of freedoms through the Patriot Act, big business/big government cronyism, preemptive war, loss of jobs and the authentic free market, treacherous trade agreements that have nothing to do with trade, all driven by that covert agenda. Impervious to how each party behaves versus their rhetoric, conditioned party loyalists accept a multitude of misconceptions.

Lack of unification behind the Constitution, the law of the land, will lead citizens of the un-United States to ultimately accept enslaving compromise – all the while enjoying their perceptions of freedom. “We are either a united people, or we are not. If the former, let us, in all maters of general concern act as a nation, which have national objects to promote, and a national character to support. If we are not, let us no longer act a farce by pretending to it.” George Washington (letter to James Madison, 30 November 1785) Reference: George Washington: A Collection, W.B. Allen, ed. (315)

If Americans actually believe that we select and then elect candidates, we are sadly deceived. The Establishment selects all major candidates, Manchurian and/or political. “Since its founding, the Bilderberg Group has functioned as a de facto private Global Politburo with 120 attendees at recent yearly meetings. Historically, the Group's power is awesome. Bill Clinton, an obscure Arkansas governor, was tapped to run for president. Likewise, Margaret Thatcher, as well as Tony Blair, was tapped by the Bilderbergers to assume the reins of government in the United Kingdom. Congressman Gerald Ford --- later US president --- also attended Group meetings in 1964 and 1966.”[4] Georgia Governor Jimmy Carter, an unknown peanut farmer, joined forces with the Bilderberg Group. In all likelihood, every presidential candidate in the last five decades has collaborated with the Bilderberg.

Voters witness this contrived opposition in every national election. In the staged elections of 2000, our mock “choices” were Gore and Bush. “In the months leading up to the November balloting, Gov. Jeb Bush ordered elections supervisors to purge 58,000 voters on the grounds they were felons not entitled to vote. As it turns out, only a handful of these voters were felons. As a result, 50,000 of these voters could not vote. The fact that 90% of these were Democrats should have made it news as this alone more than accounted for Bush’s victory.”[5] I am neither Republican nor Democrat. “In four states — Alabama, Kentucky, Virginia and Florida — people with any felony conviction are barred for life from the polls, unless the government grants them individual rights through a petition process.”[6]

Puppet leaders in any country owe their allegiance to the entities that installed them into office, not to the masses they profess to lead. There are several methods of political installations or resignations: military coups, CIA assassinations of leaders who are antagonistic to American big business interests, paperless electronic voting machines, an illegal Supreme Court decision or a current popularly elected leader’s CIA enforced resignation.[7] Installed dictators wreak havoc against their own citizens and any other country that they target in their quest for the advancement of world government.

Idealistically, individuals are elected to faithfully represent and proxy vote in the name of their constituents. However, there are variables – representatives may vote in several different ways:

Vote their conscience

Vote for what they think their constituents want

Vote based on Executive Branch pressure

Vote based on lobbyists' perks

Vote with the party leadership
The last, voting with the party leadership is the most common – it is party politics and voting the party line is frequently at the expense of the people! I have never requested any of my congressional leaders to vote themselves a healthy pay raise, a millionaire-maker pension or a great all encompassing family health care program that dwarfs any of the salaries or other benefits of the average American worker. Yet, this has certainly occurred. However, I have made numerous calls, sent abundant faxes, letters and emails requesting, nay demanding, constitutionally sound votes on such things as CAFTA. Usually, they vote against the constitution, against their campaign rhetoric and in favor of their party. I did get a reply from my pro-abortion, pro-big business Republican representative telling me that she had voted for the CAFTA (passed and signed into law on August 2, 2005) bill for three reasons:

1. “It will help our manufacturers.
2. It bolsters our national security as it helps strengthen relationships with six very important new governments in our own backyard.
3. This agreement will help the anti-poor efforts in these six nations, stem the flow of illegal immigration to the U.S., and reverse China’s dominance in textiles and apparel.”[8]
She ended her letter by saying: “I am sorry we did not see eye-to-eye on this issue, but I hope this information and the enclosed fact sheet on benefits for Illinois might help to allay some of your concerns about the agreement. Please don’t hesitate to contact me again on this or any other issue that interests you.”[9] Well Representative Biggert, thanks for your belated response reminding me and others that you no longer represent the voter. It must have taken extra time and creativity to come up with the concocted excuses for your complicity in destroying our sovereignty with a phony trade agreement that you probably didn’t even read before voting.

I am certain that the voter’s views of CAFTA paralleled their perceptions of NAFTA. The “representatives” didn’t read that bill either. It wasn’t even published until several weeks after the vote. Over 80% of the American population opposed NAFTA. Obviously, Representative Biggert didn’t bother to review the disastrous results of NAFTA on the American middle class and she apparently believes that no one else noticed the huge demise of 7 million manufacturing jobs. Fifteen hundred manufacturing plants relocated to Mexico as a result of NAFTA. So why are so many Mexicans coming north to work in “jobs Americans won’t do”? Moving those plants should have provided motivation for workers to remain in their own country. Folks, we are lied to on a regular basis. Only a complicit politician ignores the cause and effect of any legislative disaster and hopes the voters won’t notice. She will be elected again by amnesia afflicted or ignorant voters who may currently work two jobs to stay afloat.

But I digress. Suffice it to say – both parties are owned and reek with corruption. In the 2004 election the Establishment selected Kerry to run against the incumbent Bush, both committed members of The Order and both adept in the art of orchestrated opposition. The candidates deliberately ignored the real issues while focusing attention on other things. Bush’s Bones membership would have been the very last issue that the Democrats would have mentioned. Instead attention to military and drug/DUI arrest records and Kerry’s possible lack of dedication to the Iraqi War with the intention of introducing the frightening possibility that Kerry couldn’t keep us safe from those bogeymen terrorists. That timely counterfeit Osama video, in addition to the dedicated, yet deceitful, Republicans monitoring the software in the Ohio voting machines clinched the staged election.

With Katherine Harris and the U.S. Supreme Court, Bush “won” the election.[10] What a surprise!! – NOT! Papa George H. W. Bush nominated two of the Judges that sat on that Court. I wonder if that is significant. Three other Court members were: Sandra Day O'Connor, Steve G. Breyer, and Ruth B. Ginsburg, members of the Council on Foreign Relations, another group dedicated to obliterating American sovereignty.[11]

“Let me get this straight,” Barbara McCutchen said, “Illegal aliens flee their countries which are ridden with poverty, disease, crime, filth, illiteracy, and corrupt governments top to bottom. They endure hardship, occasionally death, to crash our borders illegally day and night to the tune of 10,000 every 24 hours; they rob U.S. citizens, kill their pets and livestock, damage property by cutting fences and water lines, and breaking and entering; drop tons of toxic refuse; obtain phony documents; steal citizens’ identification; depress salaries by working for slave wages; overload our schools, hospitals, and criminal facilities; get food stamps, prenatal care, other welfare such as transportation, translators, psychiatric care, and social workers; receive benefits like scholarships and in-state college tuition in several states; drive without licenses/insurance; ruin neighborhoods and property values with multiple families living in houses designed for one; continue their failed cultures’ unsanitary habits like not washing hands after going to the toilet, raising chickens and/or goats in the yard, plus the slaughter and outdoor cooking of the animals which breaks the housing codes of most towns and cities; refuse to learn English and to assimilate; and bring diseases once eradicated and deadly others unknown to our country.”

McCutchen continued, “As for the complicity of the federal government, the final death blow to public education came with Bush’s ‘No Child Left Behind,’ which requires that all children be on the same learning level. Since that is impossible taking into account the huge numbers of non-English speaking children as well as those with learning disabilities, it means that all children must be dumbed down to the lowest common denominator.

“Encouraged by officials and churches, illegals participate in protests demanding their “rights,” painting any opposition as “racist,” while sending billions back to their native countries which drains America’s economy and aids the countries they fled. A while back they were so emboldened that they got on buses across the country to go to Washington to make their “demands,” stopping at state capitals along the way, where law enforcement protected them and kept citizens away who wanted to protest such an outrage. Why didn’t they do those things in their own countries? Because they would have been shot down like dogs. Why the fierce loyalty to their countries and hostility toward ours? If I had to flee such a terrible country I would not feel loyalty or affection for it. I would be most grateful to a country that would not only allow my presence, but supply my needs. Why is that not the case, particularly with the Mexicans? Could it be that they have been programmed in Mexico to think they have every right to be here illegally and that they are the new reconquistas? That they were here first and it’s the Europeans who are the illegals? That is what their U.S. ethnic organizations also teach.

“Why does U. S. law enforcement protect them by failing to enforce immigration laws which state it’s a felony to aid, abet, transport or EMPLOY illegals, with hefty fines and imprisonment mandated? The only logical answer to that question is a corrupt system which covers for the influential corporations seeking slave labor. Then you also have government programs/bureaucrats who feed off increased funding to facilitate the slave trade, along with churches and foundations that do the same. Follow the money.

We suffer the most bought-off Congress in the history of our Republic. Why? We haven’t participated in our government and have left it to corrupt men.

“What is the logical result?” McCutchen said. “The legitimate estimates of illegals vary from 25 to 50 million…not the 8-11 million propaganda number touted by the Bush administration, the complicit congress and media, as well as numerous “think tanks,” advocacy associations, hostile ethnic organizations, the chambers of commerce, unions, and other anti-American groups. Now we have enormous numbers of people who have no regard for the rule law and citizenship responsibilities, much less a knowledge, understanding, or appreciation of our Constitutional precepts. There is no thought beyond the minute, not by the illegals and not by the rapacious harpies of the government/corporate complex.

“So what happens when the Golden Goose (the middleclass) is dead? It dies by taxation, regulation, out-sourcing, in-sourcing, and off-shoring wiping out our jobs and opportunities. Who then can be forced to give up their earnings for redistribution to finance the welfare/warfare state? Not the super rich and not the super poor! The illegals know not what they do and care not…it is not their country…the one they left is. The citizens involved in this slavery exploitation don’t give a rat’s either, today’s profits trump all ethics, responsibilities, loyalties, heritage, and culture.

“As the traitorous leaders of this country aid and abet the murder of America, we can only hope they will not escape the effects of what they do, and they won’t. Their lawlessness breeds more lawlessness and the entire country plunges into the kind of hell hole the illegals escaped. Cultures are not all the same, but ours is becoming more like theirs everyday.”

No observer of contemporary socio-political psychopathology can be anything but amazed at the numerous voices of doom who announce in breathless tones or hysterical prose that America no longer has a Constitution or a limited government, because she is under the gun of sweeping “emergency powers”—that pursuant to these supposed powers Congress may behave as a virtual Supreme Soviet and the President as a virtual dictator—and that therefore the Republic is dead, patriotism is futile, and all is lost.

Amazement, however, need not entail acceptance. To the contrary: The more one hears or reads this stuff, the more he becomes convinced of the truth in the wag’s dictum that “You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time—and that’s good enough!” Of course, the encouraging corollary of this rule is that one can enlighten some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time—and, therefore, trying to do so can possibly be worth the effort.

An extra effort is warranted in this case, because the notion that “emergency powers” are aces of usurpation and tyranny capable of trumping the Constitution is so devoid of substance, politically defeatist, and deadly to America’s survival as an independent, free, and prosperous nation that one must wonder whether it was not originally generated, and is now broadcast predominately, by propagandists for the New World Order and other perverse designs of the Forces of Darkness, precisely to dupe constitutionally illiterate Americans into surrendering without a fight.

In the ancient Roman Republic, the Senate could appoint a temporary dictator, and invest him with specific and often sweeping powers, to deal with extraordinary conditions. And on both sides of the wall behind the Speaker’s desk in the United States House of Representatives are prominently displayed Roman fasces: an ax within a bundle of sticks, symbolizing the plenitude of governmental power—a classical representation of Mao Tse-tung’s epigram that “[p]olitical power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” The illusions of modern politicians aside, however, that historical allusion does not invest Congress with all the powers of the Roman Senate, let alone a license to arm the President with the authority of an ancient Roman dictator—or of a latter-day Duce (although the regimes to which Americans have unfortunately become accustomed in Washington are more and more taking on an opera buffa character that makes Mussolini appear a not-so-ludicrous figure by comparison).

The modern doctrine of “emergency powers” is striking because—unlike the authority of the ancient Roman Senate to appoint a dictator—“emergency powers” lack both a specific source in the Constitution and a definition. Obviously, if the Constitution contained a clause explicitly delegating to Congress “emergency powers,” delineating the content of such powers, and setting out specific conditions under which they could be exercised, by whom, and for what purposes, no one could complain. No such provision exists in the Constitution, however. Today, officeholders simply announce that an “emergency” exists and that they are assuming “emergency powers” to deal with it—with both the erstwhile “emergency” and the “powers” unilaterally defined by them without reference to anything in the Constitution. To any legally literate individual, this situation should be intolerable.

First, the modern doctrine of “emergency powers” negates constitutionalism in general. By definition, a “constitution” is a charter of defined and therefore limited government . In contrast, the doctrine of “emergency powers” is an apology for undefined and therefore unlimited government. No so-called “constitution” subject to the unilateral assertion of “emergency powers” by public officials could possibly survive. For, by hypothesis, no such “constitution” would in any way limit those officials, who could relax or remove its restrictions on their own initiative simply by saying that some situation had arisen that licensed them to overstep its boundaries. If, all of a sudden, an “emergency”—as self-interested, power-hungry politicians and special-interest groups might define it—could beget new, theretofore unheard-of powers, constitutionalism itself would disappear, ushering in “government” limited only by its own rhetoric, with political hysteria the measure of “law.” Indeed, in any country populated by rational citizens, such a self-destructive “constitution” could never even come into existence. Only veritable political idiots would propose or write, let alone ratify, such a ridiculous document.

Second, the modern doctrine of “emergency powers” runs afoul of America’s Constitution in particular. Anyone who bothers to read the Constitution will see that it

delegates to the General Government as a whole—or to Congress, the President, or the Supreme Court separately—no “emergency powers” eo nomine;

delegates neither powers that only an “emergency” can call into existence, nor powers that may be exercised only in an “emergency;”

delegates no power even to declare that an “emergency” exists; and, perhaps most decisively of all,

does not even employ the word “emergency,” let alone define it as a legal principle relevant to any part of “the supreme Law of the Land” (Article VI, Clause 2).
Thus, constitutionally speaking, “emergency” has nether place nor meaning, and therefore by itself cannot serve as the justification for or measure of any power whatsoever.

Even the Supreme Court has recognized, as a fundamental constitutional principle, that

[e]mergency does not create power. Emergency does not increase granted power or remove or diminish the restrictions upon power granted or reserved. The Constitution was adopted in a period of grave emergency. Its grants of power to the Federal Government and its limitations of the power of the States were determined in the light of emergency and they are not altered by emergency.
Home Building & Loan Association v. Blaisdell, 290 U.S. 398, 425 (1934). The existence of some situation that self-serving politicians label an “emergency” has no constitutional effect in and of itself. Neither a “grave national crisis” nor any other “[e]xtraordinary conditions” can

create or enlarge constitutional power. The Constitution established a national government with powers deemed to be adequate, * * * but these powers * * * are limited by the constitutional grants. Those who act under these grants are not at liberty to transcend the imposed limits because they believe that more or different power is necessary.
A.L.A. Schechter Poultry Corp. v. United States, 295 U.S. 495, 528-29 (1935). In short, Congress, the President, and the Supreme Court—and the States, subject to their own constitutions—have no more authority to expand their powers (or evade their disabilities) simply by declaring an “emergency” than by screaming “shazaam.”

This is obviously not because the Founding Fathers negligently overlooked the possibility of “emergencies” in this country’s future. For example, the Constitution provides for a Congressional declaration of “War” (Article I, Section 8, Clause 11)—surely an “emergency” in the commonsensical understanding of that term. Yet even the “existence of a state of war could not suspend or change the operation upon the power of Congress of the guarantees and limitations of the Fifth * * * Amendment.” United States v. L. Cohen Grocery Co., 255 U.S. 81, 88 (1921). In addition, the Constitution recognizes certain other extraordinary, and possibly “emergency,” situations as predicates or conditions precedent for the exercise of specific powers explicitly granted. For instance, “[t]he Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it." Article I, Section 9, Clause 2 (emphasis supplied). Congress may “provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.” Article I, Section 8, Clause 15 (emphasis supplied). And the Fifth Amendment commands that “[n]o person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger” (emphasis supplied).

Thus, the Constitution itself exposes the claim that an “emergency” creates new powers as nothing but a trick political con men employ to confuse and stampede Americans into acquiescing in legislative or executive action that they would otherwise recognize and condemn as dangerous hogwash. It is double-talk for the purpose of double-dealing. Legitimate governmental powers have nothing to do with it. If such powers actually existed, their proponents would not have to append the desperate adjective “emergency.” The real “emergency” that confronts Americas in every such case is the lust of aspiring and conspiring usurpers and tyrants for powers that We the People have withheld from all public officials, doubtlessly for good and sufficient reasons. If honest public officials actually need new or expanded powers to serve the common good, the only legitimate way to obtain them is to propose amendments to the Constitution—and then see how many Americans agree, when all the particulars are laid on the table for careful examination and untrammeled debate.

So, all the talk being spouted and ink being spilled about how “emergency powers” have permanently overwhelmed the Constitution are just bird seed for bird brains. And one has to be a pretty potted pigeon to swallow them. That this trick has succeeded so well, for so long, proves how politically dopey all too many Americans have been and still remain. Those who recoil at this characterization should look in a mirror as truthful as the one that confronted the Wicked Queen in “Snow White” and ask the face that appears how else could such a childish swindle have been put over, year after year, decade after decade, even unto this very day.

That answer in hand, though, the further question nevertheless remains: Now what do patriotic Americans intend to do about it? For part 2 see below.

The first step in dealing with the political swindle of “emergency powers” is for Americans to recognize that they cannot avoid it by focusing on those words alone. For this con game has taken many verbal forms over the years.

Perhaps the most consequential early use of the doctrine arose as a rationalization for the General Government’s usurpation of the power to emit legal-tender paper currency during the Civil War. As the Supreme Court opined, “[i]f it be held by this court that Congress has no constitutional power, under any circumstances, or in any emergency, to make treasury notes a legal tender for the payment of all debts * * * , the government is without those means of self-preservation which * * * may * * * become indispensable * * * .” Knox v. Lee, 79 U.S. (12 Wallace 457, 529 (1871). This, however, linked the “emergency” with the government’s “self-preservation” during an actual civil war—a circumstance that has yet to repeat itself.

From the 1860s to the 1930s, usurpation took the form of increasingly widespread political intervention in the peacetime private economy. For this purpose, legal wordsmiths invented the theory of “business affected with a public interest.” Just as, later on, those officeholders who wanted to exercise abusive powers would conveniently discover (or create) some “emergency” that required the application of precisely those powers, so at that time public officials who wanted to regulate some business would discover that it was “affected with a public interest” to precisely the degree necessary to rationalize governmental regulation. Of course, there being no constitutional definition of “affected with a public interest,” this was simply circular reasoning. A business declared to be “affected with a public interest” was nothing more than a business that politicians lusted to control.

These days, one hears no more about “business affected with a public interest,” because most Americans have been conditioned to believe that all businesses, without exception, are subject to pervasive governmental surveillance and regulation all of the time, for almost any reason. So the original political cover-story is no longer necessary. Which proves that it was always fraudulent. For, if governmental intervention in the private economy was constitutional in those days only as to a “business affected with a public interest,” then (there having been no constitutional amendment since then expanding the power of the General Government or the States to regulate private enterprise) such intervention would be constitutional today only as to such a business.

With the collapse of the stock market, the implosion of the banking system, and the Great Depression, the 1930s witnessed an explosion of “emergency powers” from the onset of President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s New Deal. The mentality and motives of the leading personalities of that era are well represented in Alger Hiss’s personal reaction to the phrase “national emergency:” “the words stir me.” Quoted in Gregor Dallas, 1945: The War That Never Ended (New Haven, Connecticut: Yale University Press, 2005), at 413. Typical of the times was the Emergency Banking Act of 1933, in which Congress “declare[d] that a serious emergency exists and that it is imperatively necessary speedily to put into effect remedies of uniform national application”—one of which “remedies” was to license the Treasury to seize common Americans’ gold. Statutes at Large, Volume 48, at 1-2. The real “emergency” was that the people held the gold that the bankers and politicians wanted to steal. Inasmuch as the Federal Reserve System was inherently unstable, that an “emergency” had arisen out of its operations should have surprised no one. Revealing, though, was the statute’s political hyperbole verging on hysteria: invoking not just an “emergency,” but “ a serious emergency”! Apparently, Congressmen imagined that the adjective would enhance the plausibility of their usurpation.

The existence of an actual “emergency,” “serious” or otherwise, not always being believable, usurpers needed to concoct a more general excuse for exercising powers the Constitution withholds from them. By the 1960s, the Supreme Court obliged, with its theory that public officials (of both the General Government and the States) could abridge individuals’ constitutional liberties—that is, could exercise unconstitutional powers—if the officials were serving a “compelling governmental interest” and employing the means “least restrictive” of the liberties at issue. Now, just as with “emergency powers” and “business affected with a public interest,” the phrases “compelling governmental interest” and “least restrictive means” appear nowhere in the Constitution. No objective definition of what constitutes a “compelling governmental interest” exists. No set of generally applicable rules for determining whether a means is “least restrictive” or not has even been promulgated. So when these terms are applied to the actions of some public officials by other public officials, they end up meaning whatever public officials want them to mean. This is “Humpty-Dumpty Law,” in which legalistic verbiage functions as the playdough of power, and the only issue is who is to be master. No matter how thinly one slices it, however, it remains baloney: For, in the face of every public official’s “Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution” (Article VI, Clause 3), there can be no interest, let alone a “compelling” interest, in violating the Constitution. And a means that is “least restrictive” of an individual’s constitutional right is nonetheless restrictive, and therefore improper.

Contemporary usurpers have not failed to notice the self-evident weakness in these apologies for usurpation—namely, that “emergency powers,” “business affected with a public interest,” “compelling governmental interest,” and “least restrictive means” consist of terminology entirely foreign to the Constitution. Doubtlessly, this explains the escalating assertions of new—indeed, fantastic— “war” powers by power-hungry politicians and the special-interest groups that hold their leashes. For the noun “War” does actually appear in four places in the Constitution: Article I, Section 8, Clause 11; Article I, Section 10, Clause 3; Article III, Section 3, Clause 1; and the Fifth Amendment. All of these provisions, however, refer to “War” in the sense of armed hostilities between or among nations. So, to stretch the War Power to their own ends, usurpers now apply it, not as it properly should be applied to some other country—such as “War” on Ruthenia or Slobovia—but also and quite indefensibly to some thing, some condition, or even some behavior—such as the “war on drugs,” the “war on poverty”, the “war on crime,” or the “war on terrorism”. (Observe that in the first instance, “War” is capitalized, because the noun is employed in its constitutional sense and therefore with its constitutional upper case; but in the following instances, “war” is not capitalized, because it is employed in an unconstitutional or nonconstitutional sense.) This verbal legerdemain enables usurpers to claim power over literally anything or anybody, by the trivial expedient of filling in the blank: “war on _____.” And not only power, but even unlimited power, because both in its constitutional usage and in popular understanding “War” entails defeat, destruction, and death.

Nonetheless, take heart. These shysters’ tricks should not confound informed patriots. Constitutional interpretation is not so arcane that the average American cannot blow all these theories out of the water. For example, assume that, in the aftermath of some natural disaster, Congress declares an “emergency,” and as a “remedy” orders that common Americans be disarmed. As every reader of this author’s commentaries knows, common Americans constitute “the Militia of the several States;” and “the Militia of the several States”, in order to be “Militia,” must be armed through each individual’s personal possession of a modern firearm and ammunition. Moreover, as the Fifth Amendment makes clear, the Constitution presumes that the Militia will always be available for “actual service in time of War or public danger.” Any and every “emergency” is a “time of * * * public danger,” by hypothesis. Therefore, no “emergency” can serve as a pretext for disarming the Militia—that is, common Americans—and thereby rendering their “actual service” impossible. Similarly, assume that Congress declares as a “strategy” in a “war on crime” that common Americans be disarmed. By definition, “crime” involves violation of the laws. As Article I, Section 8, Clause 15 makes clear, the Constitution presumes that the Militia will always be available to be “call[ed] forth * * * to execute the Laws of the Union.” Therefore, no “war on crime” can serve as a pretext for disarming the Militia—that is, common Americans.

Constitutional reasoning of this sort is simple and straightforward, because the Constitution was made for We the People themselves to interpret and administer, not for elitist politicians, judges, and the legal intelligentsiia to operate as a Delphic Oracle that speaks in the unintelligible jargon of “emergency powers”, “compelling governmental interests,” and “wars on whatever.” So, when confronted with politicians invoking “emergency powers” and the other mumbo-jumbo of usurpation and tyranny, patriotic Americans must just say no! They must stop being political dopes, dupes, and dummies who fail to think for themselves, as any self-governing people should. They must stop swallowing the noxious drug of unlimited government being pushed by the phony “two party system” that is misdirecting this country to destruction.

Yes, an “emergency” threatens this country. It derives from all too many Americans’ political gullibility and sloth. And yes, this country is at “war.” It is a “war” being waged right here at home by domestic politicians and special-interest groups against the American people. The Constitution provides We the People with all the “emergency powers” and “war powers” they need to prevail. They must supply only the will.
