Iran Making Worldwide Move To Bring Islamic War To American And Israel Soil

Iran Making Worldwide Move To Bring Islamic War To American And Israel Soil
- Bill Wilson

By Bill Wilson, KIN Senior Analyst

WASH—Sep 26—KIN--The forces of terrorism are organizing a worldwide armada of strategic nations to launch an offensive against the United States and Israel in the near future—not only from the Middle East, but also from locations in Central and South America, Northern Iraq, and the Palestinian territories. From Syrian and Iranian rearming of Hezbollah to Israel’s north, to a movement by Hamas to gain a stronger foothold in the seemingly defunct Palestinian government, to a meeting of Non-Aligned Nations in Cuba, the Islamofascist world is gathering allies and is beginning to coalesce a strategic offensive, that unchecked, could turn both Israel and the United States into an unprecedented war zone.

DEBKAfile, a prominent and well respected intelligence news service, reports that Iran and Turkey appear to be preparing to launch a military strike in Northern Iraq against anti-Turkish and anti-Iranian Kurdish rebels that will enable Turkey to seize 40% of Iraq’s oil producing territory and Iran will knock out key Israeli observation sites used for early warnings of Iranian attacks. Meantime, Iran has parlayed behind the scenes agreements with Venezuela and Cuba to consider deploying Iranian missiles in those countries as a defense against a U.S. attack on Iranian nuclear facilities.

At the same time, Hezbollah’s Hassan Nasrallah told some 800,000 supporters at a "victory" rally Friday that no army could disarm his paramilitary Shi'ite terror group. Nasrallah claimed that his guerrillas have replenished their arsenal and already have more than 20,000 rockets as United Nations peacekeeping troops insists they have no responsibility to stop the Hezbollah arms build-up. As disturbing is the chilling of relations between the Bush Administration and the Olmert government in Israel. The Bush Administration has supported a coalition government of elected Hamas terrorists and the Palestinian Authority—reportedly without consulting Israel, signaling a new direction in U.S.-Israeli relations.

All the warning signs are passing through increasing levels of danger for the non-Islamic world. The American and Israeli governments must recognize immediately that the threat of these events are strategically a clear and present danger and act decisively to counter them. People of faith must gird themselves with prayer and action to prepare for the prophetic fulfillment of what Jesus Christ referred to in Matthew 24:8 when He said, “All these are the beginning of sorrows.” We must be a Deuteronomy 31:6 people: “Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Israel Deploys Nuclear Weapons against Iran

Israel Deploys Nuclear Weapons against Iran

September 25, 2006

The following report, while presenting Iran rather than Israel as the threat, must be taken very seriously.

The decision by Israel to deploy its nuclear weapons against Iran is consistent with America's nuclear doctrine which also considers the use of nuclear weapons as an act of "self-defense".

The US with the support of Israel and NATO has already deployed tactical nuclear weapons directed against Iran. The US led coaltion is in an advanced state of readiness to wage war on Iran.

Israel seen lifting nuclear veil in Iran stand-off

By Dan Williams

TEL AVIV (Reuters) - In October 1973, with its forces battling to repel invasions by Egypt and Syria, Israel did what had previously been unthinkable: It briefly wheeled its nuclear-capable Jericho-1 missiles out of their secret silos.

That, historians believe, was picked up by U.S. spy satellites and stirred up fears in Washington of a catastrophic flare-up between the Jewish state and the Soviet-backed Arabs. Message received, an urgent American shipment of conventional arms to Israel was quick to follow, and helped turn the war.

With Israel's current arch-foe Iran seen gaining the ability to produce nuclear weapons within a few years, and preventive military options limited, some experts now anticipate another "lifting of the veil" on the assumed Israeli atomic arsenal.

Were that to happen, experts say, the objective would be to establish a more open military deterrence vis-a-vis Iran and perhaps win Israel's nuclear option formal legitimacy abroad.

"No one should simply assume that Israel would stay where it is now with its ambiguous capability if Iran becomes a nuclear power," said Professor Gerald Steinberg, head of the Conflict Management Programme at Bar-Ilan University near Tel Aviv.

"Israeli policy is likely to change, in order to demonstrate that the country has continued strategic superiority," he said.

Israel neither confirms nor denies it has the Middle East's only nuclear weapons, under an "ambiguity" policy billed as warding off enemy states while avoiding a regional arms race.

Steinberg said this might be abandoned only as a last resort to persuade a nuclear-armed Iran that it stood to suffer far greater devastation in any full-blown future conflict.

"It's not desirable, but this is about survival," he said.

Iran, the world's fourth largest oil exporter, says its nuclear programme is for energy needs alone. But calls by its President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad for Israel to be "wiped off the map" have fuelled Western calls for the programme to be curbed.

Talk of a nuclear stand-off between Israel and Iran has sparked comparisons with the "mutually assured destruction" formula that reigned during the Cold War and, more recently, between India and Pakistan.

But those precedents assume a parity that may not exist with Israel and Iran. Militarily advanced Israel is geographically small and vulnerable. Iran's atomic ambitions are at fledgling stage but its large size could help it survive a major strike.

"The use of a nuclear bomb against Israel would completely destroy Israel, while (the same) against the Islamic world would only cause damage. Such a scenario is not inconceivable," former Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani said in a 2001 speech.

There is also speculation that Ahmadinejad might welcome an apocalyptic confrontation, meaning the idea of a deterrent would not work. Yet he answers to Iranian clerics who work by committee and thus provide a rational set of safeguards.

Reuven Pedatzur, defence analyst for the respected Israeli daily Haaretz, proposed that the country, under U.S. guidance, go public with its nuclear capability in the hope of building back-channel ties with Iran and establishing mutual deterrence.

"Israel cannot continue to rely on it (ambiguity policy) if Iran has nuclear weapons. This is because ambiguity leaves too many grey areas. The enemy cannot know with certainty what the red lines are and when he is risking an Israeli nuclear response," he wrote.

"There must be a deterrent policy that will leave no room for misunderstandings," he added. "Thus, for example, we would make it clear that the identification of any missile launched from Iran in a westerly direction means, as far as we are concerned, the launch of an Iranian nuclear missile at us."

Declaring capabilities is one way for a nation to becomes an official nuclear power. The other is a controlled atomic blast.

"If the Israelis really have any doubt about the credibility of their deterrence, they could conduct a nuclear test, say, in the Negev desert," said Gary Samore, a former adviser on nuclear non-proliferation in the U.S. National Security Council under President Bill Clinton.

But he said the diplomatic fall-out of such a move would draw scrutiny away from Tehran and further alienate those Arab nations willing to endorse Western pressure on the Iranians.

"It would be a godsend for Iran," Samore said.

Israel did not sign the 1970 nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. It thus kept its main nuclear facility, outside the desert town of Dimona, exempt from inspection. It has received billions of dollars in aid from Washington, whose laws ban funding states with unregulated non-conventional arsenals.

A nuclear weapons test by Israel would effectively blow away that U.S. blind eye. Iran, in turn, could withdraw from the NPT and argue that it should not be subjected to sanctions. After that, other Middle East states would likely seek atomic arms.

Avner Cohen, author of the seminal study "Israel and the Bomb", has suggested that Israel seek to form a new nuclear pact along with India and Pakistan, which refuse to join the NPT.

"Such a protocol might permit them to retain their atomic programmes, but inhibit further development. It could also require cooperation with international nuclear export controls, prohibit explosive testing of nuclear devices, and call for the phased elimination of fissile material production," Cohen said.

Iran would not be able to join such a pact, he added, as it has violated the NPT by pursuing unauthorised nuclear projects.

Cohen poured cold water on the idea of Israel seeking mutual deterrence with a nuclear-armed Iran, noting that during the Cold War parity was achieved only after Washington and Moscow scraped through two crises -- over the 1948 Western airlift to Berlin and the 1962 deployment of Soviet missiles in Cuba.

"The sense of stability associated with mutually assured destruction grew out of a learning curve," he said. "Israel had its learning through crisis, especially the 1973 war. Do we have time for the Iranians to learn? Will they learn?"

Calm before the storm.

Calm before the storm.

The calm before the storm is what we are experiencing at this time here in Israel. The UN resolution 1701 that Israeli mistakenly signed after losing its first war with Olmert at the helm has already proven to be a terrible mistake. The Multi-National Forces are handicapped and have to stand aside while watching truck loads of missiles and other weapons being shipped from Syria and Iran into the hands of Hezbollah. These forces are not allowed to stop the shipments unless they have the permission of the Lebanon Government and they are now basically controlled by Hezbollah. What we are seeing now is the UN and Multinational Forces are knowingly protecting Hezbollah from Israel and not stopping them from rearming for the next war. Many of those in the know now believe that Bashar Assad is now convinced that it is time for him to join forces with Hezbollah in the next war against Israel.

As alarming as all this sounds it isn’t nearly as disturbing as Iran having a nuclear bomb. We now have a Prime Minister who instead of doing what is necessary to protect the Israelis is depending on George W. Bush to do that job. In his speech yesterday he made the comment like a small child who depends on his father to protect him “George Bush will not allow Iran to have a nuclear bomb”. In the meantime we are finding out that Egypt is planning their nuclear reactors with of course the help of Russia, North Korea, and China all bidding to do the job for the Egyptians. It is also being reported that daily the flow of arms from Egypt into Gaza increases with absolutely no deterrence being offered from the Egyptians and most believe they are encouraging it.

In the Gaza Strip Hamas is now trying to model their attacks against Israel after the success of Hezbollah in Lebanon. Daily we are having kassam rockets being fried into our western Negev towns, even reaching now into Ashkelon one of our largest city. But little news coverage is given to this terrorist activity as the free world is suffering from a certain fear that the next large mega terrorist attack will hit them and could very well be nuclear or at least a dirty bomb. The IDF reported today that 10 suicide bombers were thwarted in the last week.

With Egypt having been armed by the US second only to Israel in the this area, and Hezbollah rearming right under the eyes of the UN and Multinational forces and Syria talking war to its people. Iran threatening to wipe Israel off the Map possibly with a nuclear bomb poor Jordan has little to no choice but to join in with the rest of the insane Islamic Arab World and become part of the forces getting ready to attack Israel. To say things have never looked bleaker for Israel than today would be an understatement. But when you have God on your side you are always the majority and never a loser.

The one thing I am certain of these Islamic Terrorists will not succeed in destroying Israel, they will lose for God’s Word never lies, Yeshua will plant His feet on the Mount of Olives not in Medina or Mecca. That He will complete bringing His people the Jews back to the land He promised them even if they are not willing to come freely. For what other reason would God give us the ministry for rescuing them if they were no Jews to rescue and bring home to Israel. God is speaking too many in these last days to assist the Jews for there is another Holocaust on the horizon, and Jews throughout Europe are waking up to that reality daily, many are already making their way home.

We now have two boats, our larger boat needs a new deck and some other equipment, we bought it at a very good price and now needs several thousand dollars worth of work on her to make her sea worthy, all this should be done within the next two months. Joel is now supervising the work on a daily basis.

Our greatest need today is making arrangements for other boats and the groundwork in Turkey and other places. All of this takes finances that we don’t have and are now praying asking God to speak to those who He would to touch the Apple of His Eye.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, for our son Joel and all the IDF soldiers. Pray for this Ministry and your part in it.

Pray the Vote

Pray the Vote
Karen Randau

“If the citizens neglect their duty and place unprincipled men in office, the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made not for the public good so much as for the selfish or local purposes.” --Daniel Webster

What would our Founding Fathers think to hear that many Americans – Christians included – believe it an illegal blending of church and state to pray before voting for public officials? Samuel Adams was one of several Founding Fathers who believed it a sacred duty to do just that: “Let each citizen remember at the moment he is offering his vote… that he is executing one of the most solemn trusts in human society for which he is accountable to God and his country.”

The very document that established the American government, including our right to vote, would have been impossible without prayer.

The Constitutional Convention
The scene was tense. Embittered Constitutional Convention delegates stormed out, taking with them all hope for equal state representation in the new government.

Discouraged eyes turned toward the senior delegate as Benjamin Franklin rose to speak. “God governs in the affairs of men,” he said, adding that without God, they could do no better job of building the United States of America than the builders of Babel. He suggested, and the remaining delegates agreed, that local pastors should pray for “the assistance of Heaven and its blessing on our deliberations.”

The weeks-long impasse broke within two days. State representation in the Senate would be equal, and state representation in the House would be based on population.

Are Prayer and Voting Compatible?
If prayer inspired the document that has stood as a global symbol of freedom for more than two centuries, does it stand to reason that the humble prayers of every American are necessary for the day-to-day understanding and implementation of the principles outlined in the Constitution, including the right to vote?

“Yes!” says John Lind, President/CEO of The Presidential Prayer Team (PPT), a grassroots network of 3 million participants who have committed to praying daily for the President, our nation and Armed Forces.

Launched September 18, 2001, only seven days after the 9/11 attacks, PPT updates its Website and emails its members weekly with prayer needs. These weekly updates feature the prayer needs for our national leaders and or nation, along with inspirational quotes from Founding Fathers, other patriots and the Bible. PPT also provides the popular American Inspirations one-minute radio program that airs on Christian stations around the country, updates their educational Presidential Prayer Team for Kids (PPK) site weekly and maintains an initiative called Adopt Our Troopstm to provide opportunities to pray for America’s armed forces. Over 100,000 people participated in their 2004 Pray the Votetm initiative, and the 2006 Pray the Vote campaign is now underway.

“Deuteronomy 16:18 says that if we appoint, or vote into office, the public officials that the Lord has given us, those people will serve the people fairly,” said Lind. “We introduced Pray the Vote to remind Christians about their sacred duty not only to vote, but to seek God’s guidance before they do it.”

PPT’s Pray the Vote website at is full of information and resources to help people do just that. One tool is called 40 Days to Pray the Votetm. It is a collection of 40 daily prayers asking God to protect all aspects of the elections – candidates, media coverage, voter fraud, voting places, etc., which are intended to run September 28 through November 6, but Lind says you can jump in anywhere in between. There also will be an Online Prayer Rallytm on Election Eve, November 6.

40 Days to Pray the Votetm is available in various formats, including the organization’s online Prayer Experience, as a podcast, through text messages on cell phones, as downloadable 30-second PSAs for radio stations, and in an Individual Prayer Package that includes business-sized cards containing each daily prayer and a CD with all 40 in MP3 format.

“We’re committed to also providing resources for pastors to help rekindle our nation’s culture of patriotic prayer,” said Lind. “We’re offering a Group Prayer Package containing two sermons, an inspirational video, a prayer guide and various other tools for churches and other groups to use.” Go to for details.

Does One Vote Count?
Rev. Billy Graham has said, "In a world that might say one vote doesn't matter..., it does matter because each person is of infinite worth and value to God... Your vote is a declaration of importance as a person and a citizen."

History proves the power of a single vote. One vote gave Thomas Jefferson the White House in 1801, admitted Texas to the Union in 1845 and gave leadership of the German Nazi Party to Hitler in 1923. In 1941, the Selective Service Act, the draft, was saved by one vote just weeks before Pearl Harbor was attacked. John F. Kennedy won the presidency by less than one vote per precinct, and George Bush was elected President in 2000 by the electoral votes of just one state.

“People need to vote informed,” reminded Lind. “Considering the impact on our nation and the world of every vote cast, voters need to take seriously the weight of their decisions. They should know the issues and the candidates, and, most importantly of all, they need to pray for God’s wisdom before voting. We need to rekindle our nation’s culture of prayer and back it up with action.”

War Signals?

War Signals?

[posted online on September 21, 2006]

As reports circulate of a sharp debate within the White House over possible US military action against Iran and its nuclear enrichment facilities, The Nation has learned that the Bush Administration and the Pentagon have moved up the deployment of a major "strike group" of ships, including the nuclear aircraft carrier Eisenhower as well as a cruiser, destroyer, frigate, submarine escort and supply ship, to head for the Persian Gulf, just off Iran's western coast. This information follows a report in the current issue of Time magazine, both online and in print, that a group of ships capable of mining harbors has received orders to be ready to sail for the Persian Gulf by October 1.

As Time writes in its cover story, "What Would War Look Like?," evidence of the forward deployment of minesweepers and word that the chief of naval operations had asked for a reworking of old plans for mining Iranian harbors "suggest that a much discussed--but until now largely theoretical--prospect has become real: that the U.S. may be preparing for war with Iran."

According to Lieut. Mike Kafka, a spokesman at the headquarters of the Second Fleet, based in Norfolk, Virginia, the Eisenhower Strike Group, bristling with Tomahawk cruise missiles, has received orders to depart the United States in a little over a week. Other official sources in the public affairs office of the Navy Department at the Pentagon confirm that this powerful armada is scheduled to arrive off the coast of Iran on or around October 21.

The Eisenhower had been in port at the Naval Station Norfolk for several years for refurbishing and refueling of its nuclear reactor; it had not been scheduled to depart for a new duty station until at least a month later, and possibly not till next spring. Family members, before the orders, had moved into the area and had until then expected to be with their sailor-spouses and parents in Virginia for some time yet. First word of the early dispatch of the "Ike Strike" group to the Persian Gulf region came from several angry officers on the ships involved, who contacted antiwar critics like retired Air Force Col. Sam Gardiner and complained that they were being sent to attack Iran without any order from the Congress.

"This is very serious," said Ray McGovern, a former CIA threat-assessment analyst who got early word of the Navy officers' complaints about the sudden deployment orders. (McGovern, a twenty-seven-year veteran of the CIA, resigned in 2002 in protest over what he said were Bush Administration pressures to exaggerate the threat posed by Iraq. He and other intelligence agency critics have formed a group called Veteran Intelligence Professionals for Sanity.)

Colonel Gardiner, who has taught military strategy at the National War College, says that the carrier deployment and a scheduled Persian Gulf arrival date of October 21 is "very important evidence" of war planning. He says, "I know that some naval forces have already received 'prepare to deploy orders' [PTDOs], which have set the date for being ready to go as October 1. Given that it would take about from October 2 to October 21 to get those forces to the Gulf region, that looks about like the date" of any possible military action against Iran. (A PTDO means that all crews should be at their stations, and ships and planes should be ready to go, by a certain date--in this case, reportedly, October 1.) Gardiner notes, "You cannot issue a PTDO and then stay ready for very long. It's a very significant order, and it's not done as a training exercise." This point was also made in the Time article.

So what is the White House planning?

On Monday President Bush addressed the UN General Assembly at its opening session, and while studiously avoiding even physically meeting Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was also addressing the body, he offered a two-pronged message. Bush told the "people of Iran" that "we're working toward a diplomatic solution to this crisis" and that he looked forward "to the day when you can live in freedom." But he also warned that Iran's leaders were using the nation's resources "to fund terrorism and fuel extremism and pursue nuclear weapons." Given the President's assertion that the nation is fighting a "global war on terror" and that he is Commander in Chief of that "war," his prominent linking of the Iran regime with terror has to be seen as a deliberate effort to claim his right to carry the fight there. Bush has repeatedly insisted that the 2001 Congressional Authorization for the Use of Force that preceded the invasion of Afghanistan was also an authorization for an unending "war on terror."

Even as Bush was making not-so-veiled threats at the UN, his former Secretary of State, Colin Powell, a sharp critic of any unilateral US attack on Iran, was in Norfolk, not far from the Eisenhower, advocating further diplomatic efforts to deal with Iran's nuclear program--itself tantalizing evidence of the policy struggle over whether to go to war, and that those favoring an attack may be winning that struggle.

"I think the plan's been picked: bomb the nuclear sites in Iran," says Gardiner. "It's a terrible idea, it's against US law and it's against international law, but I think they've decided to do it." Gardiner says that while the United States has the capability to hit those sites with its cruise missiles, "the Iranians have many more options than we do: They can activate Hezbollah; they can organize riots all over the Islamic world, including Pakistan, which could bring down the Musharraf government, putting nuclear weapons into terrorist hands; they can encourage the Shia militias in Iraq to attack US troops; they can blow up oil pipelines and shut the Persian Gulf." Most of the major oil-producing states in the Middle East have substantial Shiite populations, which has long been a concern of their own Sunni leaders and of Washington policy-makers, given the sometimes close connection of Shiite populations to Iran's religious rulers.

Of course, Gardiner agrees, recent ship movements and other signs of military preparedness could be simply a bluff designed to show toughness in the bargaining with Iran over its nuclear program. But with the Iranian coast reportedly armed to the teeth with Chinese Silkworm antiship missiles, and possibly even more sophisticated Russian antiship weapons, against which the Navy has little reliable defenses, it seems unlikely the Navy would risk high-value assets like aircraft carriers or cruisers with such a tactic. Nor has bluffing been a Bush MO to date.

Commentators and analysts across the political spectrum are focusing on Bush's talk about dialogue, with many claiming that he is climbing down from confrontation. On the right, David Frum, writing on September 20 in his National Review blog, argues that the lack of any attempt to win a UN resolution supporting military action, and rumors of "hushed back doors" being opened in Washington, lead him to expect a diplomatic deal, not a unilateral attack. Writing in the center, Washington Post reporter Glenn Kessler saw in Bush's UN speech evidence that "war is no longer a viable option" in Iran. Even on the left, where confidence in the Bush Administration's judgment is abysmally low, commentators like Noam Chomsky and Nation contributor Robert Dreyfuss are skeptical that an attack is being planned. Chomsky has long argued that Washington's leaders aren't crazy, and would not take such a step--though more recently, he has seemed less sanguine about Administration sanity and has suggested that leaks about war plans may be an effort by military leaders--who are almost universally opposed to widening the Mideast war--to arouse opposition to such a move by Bush and war advocates like Cheney. Dreyfuss, meanwhile, in an article for the online journal, focuses on the talk of diplomacy in Bush's Monday UN speech, not on his threats, and concludes that it means "the realists have won" and that there will be no Iran attack.

But all these war skeptics may be whistling past the graveyard. After all, it must be recalled that Bush also talked about seeking diplomatic solutions the whole time he was dead-set on invading Iraq, and the current situation is increasingly looking like a cheap Hollywood sequel. The United States, according to Gardiner and others, already reportedly has special forces operating in Iran, and now major ship movements are looking ominous.

Representative Maurice Hinchey, a leading Democratic critic of the Iraq War, informed about the Navy PTDOs and about the orders for the full Eisenhower Strike Group to head out to sea, said, "For some time there has been speculation that there could be an attack on Iran prior to November 7, in order to exacerbate the culture of fear that the Administration has cultivated now for over five or six years. But if they attack Iran it will be a very bad mistake, for the Middle East and for the US. It would only make worse the antagonism and fear people feel towards our country. I hope this Administration is not so foolish and irresponsible." He adds, "Military people are deeply concerned about the overtaxing of the military already."

Calls for comment from the White House on Iran war plans and on the order for the Eisenhower Strike Group to deploy were referred to the National Security Council press office, which declined to return this reporter's phone calls.

McGovern, who had first told a group of anti-Iraq War activists Sunday on the National Mall in Washington, DC, during an ongoing action called "Camp Democracy," about his being alerted to the strike group deployment, warned, "We have about seven weeks to try and stop this next war from happening."

One solid indication that the dispatch of the Eisenhower is part of a force buildup would be if the carrier Enterprise--currently in the Arabian Sea, where it has been launching bombing runs against the Taliban in Afghanistan, and which is at the end of its normal six-month sea tour--is kept on station instead of sent back to the United States. Arguing against simple rotation of tours is the fact that the Eisenhower's refurbishing and its dispatch were rushed forward by at least a month. A report from the Enterprise on the Navy's official website referred to its ongoing role in the Afghanistan fighting, and gave no indication of plans to head back to port. The Navy itself has no comment on the ship's future orders.

Jim Webb, Secretary of the Navy in the Reagan Administration and currently a Democratic candidate for Senate in Virginia, expressed some caution about reports of the carrier deployment, saying, "Remember, carrier groups regularly rotate in and out of that region." But he added, "I do not believe that there should be any elective military action taken against Iran without a separate authorization vote by the Congress. In my view, the 2002 authorization which was used for the invasion of Iraq should not extend to Iran."

September 17, 2006

Twenty years ago most Americans didn't pay very much attention to Islam, or to Muslims in general, and they went about their business doing whatever their various sects do. They had mosques in the USA, and they weren't bothered, and somehow they managed not to bother us. At least, they did not warrant making headlines.

During the past five years, when Arabs and Islamic "radicals" came into the spotlight after they were credited for the Nine Eleven disaster (following a 1993 failed attack on WTC and the bombing of the USS Cole in Yemen), the US and European nations have suffered an influx of Muslims who insist that despite their riots, burning flags and figures in effigy, they are a peaceful people who simply want to lead a peaceful life for Allah.

Until the Pope quotes some source that disturbs them, then they get on their riot gear and go into a somewhat less than peaceful mode. They have some right that other faiths do not to go around demanding apologies from the leader of a religion that claims a billion members, as does the Roman Catholic faith? And just who gave them this right?

What if the Pope led his followers on a rampage against Islam? Now would that be offensive to them? You better believe it would, it most likely could trigger a full-scale religious war that Islam seems to wish to provoke anyway, in spite of the almost nauseating peace overtures made daily by the US and European nations (which aren't Christian anyway except in heritage). Yet millions of Muslims have migrated into the US and European nations, provoking a mountain range of politically-correct bowing and scraping by formerly self-respecting countries in order to appease all these fanatics in riot mode at any provocation, real or imagined.

If Islam wishes to present the image of being a peaceful religion, rioting and burning is not exactly the appropriate way to express one's love of peace or desire to co-exist. Rather, such behavior lends a lot of credence to what most average European and American people believe anyway (even if they can no longer say so in public without reprisals from their own governments) and that is, the Islamic religion is not one of peace, has no history of peaceful co-existence with its neighbors and has produced empires that were intent to "convert or destroy." While Western Civilization was building cathedrals, museums, factories, and producing art, most Muslim countries were filled with people still living the way they did in the 7th Century. Progress is something they have acquired by associating with Western Civilization, which is all but committing suicide to appease a culture of nomads gathered around a nucleus of educated elites who own oil, give themselves titles, and acquire modern weapons that could annihilate most of the inhabited earth.

I'm sick of seeing those who have made progress bow to those who have made little to none on their own, they simply happened to be sitting on a large amount of oil that is now unnecessary to tap because alternative reserves have been found, and alternatives to oil will be forthcoming.

Western greed over oil has placed Western Civilization in the embarrassing position of having its leaders kowtow to screaming Islamics who hate the West but come here because life in their own nations is unbearable.

Well if the Islamics can't stand their own nations, don't expect the West to want any part of them or their religion, and stop the propaganda about being such a peaceful group of religious souls. Religious may be correct, peaceful is not. In fact their own sects cannot stop blowing one another to bits ... particularly the Sunnis and Shiites.

To most people throughout the ages, their political position has meant more to them than their religious profession, and thus religion has had to follow politics.

That is religiosity, and it has existed in all religions and all cultures, major and minor, throughout the ages. It is simply a fact of human nature that for the most part, politics trumps religion or conforms it to fit the political agenda. That is happening today in this twenty-first century world the same way it did in the first century when Rome was the world's sole superpower.

The differences between Christian denominations has caused bloodshed, much to the disgrace of true Bible Christianity which calls for a unity among God's people. The American conflict called the "Civil War" was the most uncivilized event in American history, with professing Christians wearing blue or gray, killing each other to the toll of over half a million souls, and the Union armies overrunning the South to utterly destroy women, children, elderly and disabled. Abolition alone would have occurred in time ... but Union domination and consolidation of power in a strong, centralized federal government would not. So there was a war that to this day divides North from South and may do so for decades to come, should this world last for decades.

As a Christian, I cannot defend the political agendas that have hidden behind the mantle of religious faith. The two were mutually exclusive, and religious beliefs had to be warped to justify the actions of the people claiming some divine right to do whatever their political agenda dictated.

It is no different with Islam. While the Crusades worked hardship in the Holy Land against Islamics who had their own jihad against Christian and Jewish settlements and Christian shrines established by the Catholic church, there is no justification for the wholesale slaughter of human beings for their beliefs, whatever they may be. If God doesn't impose His divine will by force from above, then humans who claim such divine rights are simply using God as a cloak for their own political ambitions.

Christianity is now inconvenient for America's global agenda and it is being pushed aside in Europe and America while Islam is being courted for the sake of oil and appeasement. The fact appeasement doesn't work, as evidenced by two world wars, several less massive wars, and now a "war on terrorism" seems to have escaped notice by all politicians.

The fact remains that Christianity is now somewhat of a convenience in the United States and less so in Canada, while appeasing Islam is politically correct, disgusting and a cause for amusement among the leaders of the riots that follow any "insult" to Allah or the Islamic faith. Mobs do not spring out of sudden unity among groups, they are initiated by leaders and shoved onto willing servants to their cause, even when they aren't certain what that cause might be. SInce life is probably less tolerable than dying for Allah and obtaining whatever promises the Imams assert await the martyred believers, suicide bombers and other religious pawns appear to abound in Muslim nations.

If Imams have the "right" to call America, or Western Civilization, "the great satan" then what the Pope says or quotes could be as overlooked by Muslims as are insults to Christianity and nationality by the West. But no, any cause for rioting will do. Jihad is apparently the undercurrent of all Islam, which the Muslims most surely will never publicly admit, but it is being taught and this is not difficult to verify.

Even the leaders of Western nations will agree hypocritically that Islam is peaceful when they know better. It simply fits the political agenda and thus becomes the politically correct stance to take, especially if the media are present.

Is it any wonder that Christians who devoutly believe in their Bible and practice their faith, even when it is against the political agenda of their country, earnestly look forward to God's promise to put a fiery end to this evil world system and establish new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness will dwell? We're sick of evil at every turn, in every political system, and in governments that will not uphold their national heritage that was based upon Christian principles.

However, if one party is intent upon a religious war, then they will make it happen on some pretext, and no one need be surprised, particularly if war happens to be a historical fact in the lifespan of that religious movement.

It is time for people to shut up, go home, mind their own business, and co-exist with others who do not share the same ideals or religious beliefs. The US has accomplished this with Japan and other nations where a faith other than Christianity is predominant. The more Western nations bow to the demands of the Islamics, the more likely they make a worldwide jihad or holy war probable. This is outright stupidity, and Islam is playing it to the hilt.

In the globalist scheme of things, all vigorously monotheistic religions must be exterminated, so the sudden upsurge of Islam only makes it a growing target for extinction by the globalist elite. When it has served their purpose, the globalists will ensure that it is put down also.

Politics will trump religion until this world system is utterly and permanently destroyed, and that will happen at an hour we think not ... when Jesus Christ returns in glory to judge all the nations for their wickedness, even those that have claimed His Name but denied His lordship.

We no longer know who we are, we Americans. We are truly a nation adrift. Corruption floods our nation like the waters of Katrina buried New Orleans.

Coach Dave Daubenmire
September 21, 2006

We no longer know who we are, we Americans. We are truly a nation adrift. Corruption floods our nation like the waters of Katrina buried New Orleans. Although the flooding was blamed on the hurricane, the fact is, the levees were breached. The water rushed into the city, as years of neglect and erosion finally took its toll. Out of view of the public eye, the foundations of the levees had been destroyed. The flood was inevitable.

In the days of warning leading up to the storm, all eyes were on the skies. How much rain would come? How strong would the winds be? Should a mandatory evacuation be ordered? Where will the eye hit? Although most of the devastation in the Gulf Coast area was caused by the powerful winds, the city of New Orleans was destroyed by water. Some gave warning that the storm would be disastrous, but no one could conceive what was about to bury the Crescent City.

The foundations of the levees had been crumbling for years, and no one had noticed. The walled city was about to spring a leak.

New Orleans is a microcosm of America. While everyone is celebrating Fat Tuesday, Black Sunday is sitting on the horizon. Our walls, too, have been breached.

All of the major institutions of America are decadent. Our government is a fraud, our schools have become the synagogues of Satan, corruption rules in the highest halls of power, the justice system is full of injustice, and America’s churches fight each other for money and sheeple.

When the rain inevitably comes, the levees will not hold. Sadly, there are too many cracks in the foundation.

There is a lot of talk these days about the goodness of America. The arguments over the war, torture, health care, gay rights, abortion and a myriad of other issues always revolve around America’s “goodness.”

America is too good to torture. America is too good to force a woman to carry a baby she doesn’t want. America is too good to invade another country. America is too good to allow the poor to suffer.

"Yes," they say, "America is too good for that…"

But is America good? And if so, what makes it so?

Good--- morally excellent, virtuous, righteous, pious.

America is made up of people and a nation can be good only if her people are good. Her institutions can be good only if its employees are good. Like the levees in New Orleans, everything appears to be fine, but a compromised foundation will not hold. It is only a matter of time.

America is schizophrenic. The book of James tells us that “ a double-minded man is unstable in all of his ways.” America is double-minded. Our government claims to be secular, but they want to claim all of the values of Christianity. Many Americans want to be free of the shackles of Christ, but still expect others to live by in His virtues. America is going to have to make a decision.

Torture is wrong because America has lived by Jesus’ creed to “do unto others,” not because the Geneva Conventions say it is wrong. The politicians are constantly blathering about our “image” in the world and how other nations are not viewing us favorably. Why is it that no one mentions the image of Iraq, or Iran, or the murderous Sudan? Why aren't the North Koreans concerned about their image…or the Chinese? “Americans are better than that,” they say. Is that true? Is America better than that? If so, why? What is it, in the eyes of the world that makes America better than an Iraq?

“If we turn to torture we are no better than them,” I heard a secular pundit recently say. Hmmm, no better than them….so you think we’re better than them…why?

Could it be that the rest of the world recognizes what we refuse to admit? In our striving to be tolerant, diverse, and secular, are we denying the very foundations that the rest of the world recognizes? Could it be that the rest of the world and our secular leaders expect more out of us because America espouses Christian values?

Take a real quick inventory with me. When you think of the following nations would you agree that they are undeniably linked to a national religion? India is Hindu. Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and most of the Middle East are Muslim. Israel is Jewish. Mongolia is Buddhist. Most of Japan is Shinto. China is a mix of Taoism and Confucianism. In the eyes of the world, America is Christian. Because they recognize that we are, they expect us to live up to a higher standard.

Let me ask you a question. Why is it the rest of the world recognizes we are Christian, but our government does all it can to deny it? When the terrorists flew the planes into the towers the war-cry from the Middle East was “it is you, America, full of Christian infidels.” Funny isn’t it? They recognize our foundation, and they see the cracks in our levee.

“So, Coach, where are you going with this,” I hear you asking. America is going to have to make a decision. We are either going to have to acknowledge our Christian roots and begin to once again teach them to our children, or we will have to deny them and damn the torpedoes. In a world full of evil, America is doomed if we continue to deny the breach in the wall. We can’t have it both ways.

If America is secular, then let’s fight by the world’s standards. We’ve seen the standards of our enemies. They cry “torture,” “abuse,” and “degradation” in regards to the way we treat prisoners, while they lop off the heads of those who disagree with them. There are two different sets of rules, and they are forcing secular-America to fight by Christian standards. Well something has to give. They are smart enough to use our Christian values against us.

When will America face up to her schizophrenia? When will we stop running from the obvious? When will our leaders boldly declare that this nation is a nation founded on and supported by Christian values? When will we once again begin to teach it to our children? When will we once again expect our leaders to live by them?

The war raging in the world is not a war on terror. It is a religious war. Christianity and Islam stand in stark contrast to each other. While America’s courts and America’s politicians argue about the legality of “under God,” crosses on war memorials, and the Ten Commandments on the wall, the enemies of Christianity are lining up, determined to conquer the “great Satan” while we are caught in the midst of an identity crisis.

If America is not a Christian nation then it is time to take the shackles of Christianity off, unleash the destructive forces of our arsenals, and blast our enemies back to the 7th century from whence they have come. If our opponents kill in the name of their god, if they couldn’t care less about the deaths of innocent people, why should secular-America be forced to play by a different set of values as we sacrifice our sons in the sands of Satan?

America has won before and we can win again. We have always believed in the supernatural intervention of the Christian God on our behalf. We have always believed that He was on our side.

Christian-America can win the war. Secular-America cannot. How long will we deny the Truth? How long will we run from our past? How long will we deny our Christian heritage?

Look at this picture from Normandy. Did they die so that a Chaplain couldn’t pray? Did they die so the Ten Commandments couldn’t be displayed? Did they die so a man could marry a man? Did they die so an unborn baby could be killed?

It is time to stop spitting on their graves. We still have time, although there are clouds on the horizon. American values are still Christian values.

It is time to repair the dike.

UN Force in Lebanon is defined more by what it cannot do than what it can – NY Times. Israeli troops stand by as Hizballah rearms

UN Force in Lebanon is defined more by what it cannot do than what it can – NY Times. Israeli troops stand by as Hizballah rearms

September 26, 2006, 12:01 PM (GMT+02:00)

The United Nations force created to police southern Lebanon faces not only a threatening al Qaeda presence cheek by jowl, but endless handicaps in performing its mandated functions. The New York Times correspondent reports: One month after a UN Security Council resolution ended a 34-day war… the international force members say “they cannot set up checkpoints, search cars, homes or businesses or detain suspects. If they see a truck transporting missiles, for example (in violation of the UN arms embargo), they cannot stop it… because under their interpretation of the Security Council resolution (1701) that deployed them, they must first be authorized to take such action by the Lebanese army.” And whereas the Security Council allocated 15,000 troops to expanded UNIFIL, only 5,000 are deployed. According to the NYT, the UN commanders repeat as a mantra that their job is to respect Lebanese sovereignty by supporting the Lebanese army. “They will only do what the Lebanese authorities ask.” DEBKAfile adds: More than 40% of the Lebanese army consists of Shiites. Their loyalty goes first to Hizballah or their Shiite commanders rather than the Lebanese government. Israeli officials and commanders have their own mantra which is that there is no Hizballah activity on the ground. The last Israeli forces can therefore pull out of South Lebanon by the end of the month. DEBKAfile notes that the Olmert government continues to cover up the failure of its war objectives by polishing up its aftermath. The truth is that Hizballah activities are intense but do not figure in the reports of UNIFIL’s European contingents, which have their own agenda. This agenda has whittled down most elements of the mission assigned the UN force by Resolution 1701, which was approved in the first place to prevent Hizballah from continuing its attacks on Israel and destabilizing the area. As for the demand to disarm Hizballah, the paper quotes local Shiites as making it clear “they will fight anybody who tries to take Hizballah’s weapons away. For the forces to remain welcome they must demonstrate they are there to protect the Lebanese from Israel – not to police the Lebanese on behalf of Israel.” DEBKAfile adds: Hizballah would not need to fight the international force. Al Qaeda’s second-in-command Ayman Zawahiri stated in his last videotape this month that UNIFIL in Lebanon is a target for terrorist attack. Hizballah’s hands can therefore stay clean. US Intelligence Director John Negroponte reported last week that Qaeda’s expansion into Lebanon, exploiting the conflict there, is being taken seriously. The chasm between the Sunni Muslim al Qaeda and Lebanon’s Shiite Hizballah is no bar to collaboration. However, from the Israeli side of the border, yellow-clad, Hizballah flag-waving demonstrators are photographed day by day, throwing rocks at Israeli vehicles and moving into the former locations of the destroyed Hizballah positions. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that just a month after the ceasefire went into effect, Hizballah’s arsenals are filling up again as trucks head south from central and northern Lebanon unimpeded by Israeli or international troops. Israel has still not appointed a new head of the IDF’s Northern command to replace the war commander Maj.-Gen Udi Adam who stepped down last week. As for the international force, its “robust” policing operations have more or less been relegated to the archives of the UN Security Council.

Iran and Turkey Prepare for War in Iraqi Kurdistan

Iran and Turkey Prepare for War in Iraqi Kurdistan

DEBKAfile Exclusive Military Report

September 24, 2006, 5:58 PM (GMT+02:00)

A new Middle East war is in the offing. DEBKAfile’s exclusive military sources in Iraq and sources in Iran reveal that Turkish and Iranian air units as well as armored, paratroop, special operations and artillery forces are poised for an imminent coordinated invasion of the northern Iraqi autonomous province of Kurdistan.

Our sources pinpoint the target of the combined Iranian-Turkish offensive as the Quandil Mountains (see picture), where some 5,000 Kurdish rebels from Turkey and Iran, members of the PKK and PJAK respectively, are holed up. Iranian and Turkish assault troops are already deployed 7-8 km deep inside Iraqi territory.

Turkey to the northwest and Iran to the east both have Kurdish minorities which have been radicalized by the emergence of Iraqi Kurdistan in the last three years. The three contiguous Kurdish regions form a strategic world hub.

A jittery Washington foresees a Kurdish-Iranian military thrust quickly flaring into a comprehensive conflict and igniting flames that would envelop the whole of Iraqi Kurdistan as well as southern Turkey and Armenia.

Tehran is quite capable of using the opening for its expeditionary force to grab extensive parts of Kurdistan and strike a strategic foothold in northern Iraq.

Informed US officials would not be surprised if Turkey took the chance of seizing northern Iraqi oil fields centered on the oil-rich town of Kirkuk, the source of 40 percent of Iraq’s oil output.

When he met US secretary of state Condoleezza Rice in New York Thursday, Sept. 21, Turkish foreign minister Abdullah Gul said: “When we talk about Kirkuk, everybody supposes we want to bring the Kurdish-Turkish issue to the foreground. However, we instead see the uncertainty there as a general issue of Iraq. We are concerned that instability and turmoil in Kirkuk could cause more troubles in Iraq.”

Referring to the recently appointed special US coordinator Gen. Joseph Ralston, Gul expressed his hope that a resolution would be imminent.

The threat was implicit and impatient. Washington was given to infer that Ankara is on the point of deciding whether or not to capture Kirkuk, a step that would undermine a pivotal political and economic base of the Baghdad government and harm US interests in Iraq.

This conversation, which was not nearly as amicable as it looked from the press photos, was clouded by a disturbing incident: A semi-official American military publication recently ran a new map showing parts of Turkish and Armenian territory marked “Kurdistan.”

This map fueled suspicions in Ankara and the Armenian capital Yerevan that the US high military command was in on a plan for Iraqi Kurdish forces led by President Jalal Talabani and Masoud Barzani to help themselves to territory in Turkey and Armenia in a counter-attack to a potential Turkish-Iranian military move in Kurdistan.

This kind of mistrust has lent wings to Ankara’s resolve to go forward against Kurdistan - the sooner the better.

To cool tempers and restrain the Turks, the US ambassador to Turkey, Ross Wilson, stood up in Ankara on Sept 19 and promised: “Northern Iraq won’t serve as a PKK base in the future.” In a speech at a meeting entitled "Agenda 2006," Wilson stated that the map published in an unofficial U.S. military magazine showing parts of Turkish and Armenian territory under the domination of a republic called "Kurdistan" doesn't reflect the official policy of the US.

The ambassador added that the recently stepped-up PKK violent attacks in Turkey “would not be tolerated anymore.”

These words were hardly likely to allay Ankara’s fears, since the ambassador addressed the PKK problem in the future tense, while the Turkish government is troubled by the present.

The approaching conflict, according to DEBKAfile’s military sources, has an Israeli dimension. Since July, Turkish leaders have been impressing on the Bush administration that they have the right to attack Kurdish rebels who mount terrorist attacks in Turkey and take refuge across the border in Iraq’s Quandil Mountains – no less than the Israelis, who with US backing struck back at the Hizballah in Lebanon for its cross-border attacks into northern Israel.

Tehran is not bothering to justify its forthcoming operation in Kurdistan. DEBKAfile’s sources in Tehran report that Iran’s rulers are determined to go in without further ado and crush the Kurdish insurgents carrying out hit-and-run attacks in Iran in recent months.

Vital American and Israeli regional security interests in the Middle East are affected by three additional aspects of the potential anti-Kurdish flare-up.

1. Washington is not convinced by Ankara’s protestations of the absence of Turkish-Iranian military complicity. Turkey and Iran happen to find themselves in the same boat at the same time as targets of terrorists, say the Turks, and both have no choice but to use force to stamp out the violence. But for the Americans, the timing could not be more unfortunate. A possible US (and Israeli) plan to attack Iran’s nuclear installations at this time would be seriously hampered by the closure of Turkish and Kurdish air space to American and Israeli warplanes heading for Iran.

The war plot thickened further this week.

Friday, Sept. 22, while Hizballah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah harangued a million Lebanese spectators in Beirut, Iran’s ambassador to Turkey, Firouz Dolatabadi, spoke in Ankara in ominous tones. He said: “Iran, Turkey and Iraq are key points in the world’s geopolitics. Whoever dominates this region can control the whole world.”

Regarding relations between Iran and Turkey, ambassador Dolatabadi said: “History has it that whenever Iran and the Ottoman Emperor had good relations, we would witness good developments in the region.”

Good for whom? asked worried officials in Washington.

2. An Iranian-Turkish victory in a Kurdish campaign would award Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps its second victory in less than two months. The RG officers who commanded Hizballah forces in the Lebanon war of July and August claim full credit for its gains. They thwarted a key objective of the Israeli assault which was to cut Iran’s assets down to size in Lebanon and the western Middle East at large, and have left Iran’s military grip on the region firmer than ever.

3. Israel is concerned lest military action against Turkish PKK rebels uproot its military and economic presence in Iraqi Kurdistan. DEBKAfile’s military sources report that since 2004 Israeli military instructors and intelligence officer have been helping the Kurds build up their peshmerga army and anti-terrorist forces.

Iran and Turkey are convinced that Israel also maintains in north Iraqi Kurdistan observation and early warning posts to forewarn the Jewish state of a coming Iranian attack. If this is so, the two invaders will make a point of destroying such posts. Israel would then forfeit a key intelligence facility against the Islamic Republic.

Regarding Israel’s oft-reported, never officially-admitted, connection with Kurdistan, the BBC’s Newsnight program of Sept 20 claimed to have obtained the first pictures of Kurdish soldiers trained by Israelis in N. Iraq, as well as an interview with an unnamed former trainer.

DEBKAfile’s sources conjecture that the photos were leaked by two sources:

One, Turkish officials concerned to drum up a justifiable “context” for their coming offensive by smearing the Talabani-Barzani leadership as disloyal to Baghdad.

The Kurdish authorities have denied allowing any Israelis into northern Iraq. The purported Israeli trainer told the BBC interviewer that his team was told they would be disowned if discovered.

Two, Turkish or European elements who are anxious to abort an American or Israeli attack on Iran’s nuclear industry by exposing Kurdish installations that might serve to expand Israel’s strategic options against Iran. The BBC producers suggested that refueling stops at the Irbil (Hawler) airport in Kurdistan would help the Israel air force overcome the problem of distance to an air strike against Iran.

The British program quoted the trainer as describing the courses given to Kurdish airport security people and army as diverse special operations forces’ anti-terrorism tactics and weapons. DEBKAfile adds that before Abu Musab al Zarqawi was taken out by American forces, his men sought high and low for Israeli instructors to abduct as hostages, but never found them.

The Bush administration recently appointed former NATO commander Gen. Joseph Ralston as special US coordinator in Ankara for the PKK issue in the hope of de-escalating the crisis caused by PKK attacks and delaying Ankara’s war operation against Iraqi Kurdistan. In the second week of September, he held a round of conferences with Turkish political and military leaders. His essential argument was that military action is the last option. But he made little headway. Many Turkish officials found the Ralston initiative too late to hold back the inevitable clash for a number of reasons.

They believe the delay he urged would play into the hands of the Kurdish rebels and give them time to consolidate their preparations to fight off an offensive.

Turkish intelligence reports that Talabani and Barzani are less busy with Iraqi affairs than with transferring large quantities of anti-tank and anti-air rockets to the anti-Turkish PKK and the anti-Iranian PJAK in their hideouts.

Ankara is keen, furthermore, to get in its blow against Kurdistan before an American action against Iran. The Turks buy Russian and Iranian intelligence evaluations according which the US attack may take place at any time between the last week of September and the end of December, 2006. So they feel the ground is burning under their feet.

Iran, for its part, is waiting for Turkey to make the first move in Iraqi Kurdistan. Its troops will go into action only after the first Turkish soldier and tank are on the move.

Omar role in truce reinforces fears that Pakistan 'caved in' to Taliban

The fugitive Taliban commander Mullah Omar has emerged as the key player behind the movement's controversial peace deal with Pakistan.

The Taliban's one-eyed spiritual leader, who has a $10 million price on his head for refusing to hand over Osama bin Laden after the September 11 attacks, signed a letter explicitly endorsing the truce announced this month. The deal between the Pakistani authorities and pro-Taliban militants in the tribal provinces bordering Afghanistan was designed to end five years of bloodshed in the area.

In return for an end to the US-backed government campaign in Waziristan, the tribal leaders - who have harboured Taliban and al-Qaeda units for more than five years - agreed to halt attacks on Pakistani troops, more than 500 of whom have been killed. The deal has been widely criticised as over-generous, with no way to enforce the Taliban's promise not to enter Afghanistan to attack coalition troops.

The disclosure that Mullah Omar personally backed the deal will come as a fresh embarrassment to Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf, who met President Bush in Washington on Friday to discuss security in the region.

While officially a US ally in the war on terror, Pakistan has been repeatedly accused by Afghanistan of not doing enough to clear Taliban militants out of its border regions, allegations it denies. However, Mullah Omar clearly felt that the deal benefited the Taliban, adding force to criticisms that it was in effect a cave-in. Tribal elders in south Waziristan said that Mullah Omar had sent one of his most trusted and feared commanders, Mullah Dadullah, to ask local militants to sign the truce. Dadullah, a one-legged fighter known for his fondness for beheading his enemies, is believed to be the man leading the campaign in southern Afghanistan in which 18 British troops have been killed.

"Had they been not asked by Mullah Omar, none of them were willing to sign an agreement," said Lateef Afridi, a tribal elder and former national assembly member. "This is no peace agreement, it is accepting Taliban rule in Pakistan's territory."

Waziristan has a 50-mile border with Afghanistan's Paktika province, long a trouble spot for US and Afghan forces in their battle against al-Qaeda and Taliban renegades. It is home to three tiers of Islamists who operate freely. Of greatest security concern is the al-Qaeda element, followed by Afghani Taliban and then local Taliban.

In return for a reduction in the Pakistani army's 80,000-strong presence and the release of about 165 hardcore militants arrested for attacks on Pakistani armed forces, local Taliban agreed to stop supporting the foreign militants in their midst, and promised not to set up their own fundamentalist administrations.

The government also agreed to compensate tribal leaders for the loss of life and property, and to return all weapons and vehicles seized during army operations.

Critics say the deal is a dangerous climb-down by Gen Musharraf, who is under huge pressure from religious conservatives in his own country to curb his US-backed fight against militant Islam.

Shummer60 - Seperation of church and state is a lie from Satan. However, I do not advocate a theocracy.

"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." Thus began the Ten Amendments, or Bill of Rights, which were approved this day, September 25, 1789. They were passed because the Constitution did not limit the powers of the Federal Government enough. Indeed, sixteen of the fifty-five delegates refused to sign the Constitution. Patrick Henry and Samuel Adams even tried to prevent it from being ratified, as the abuses of King George's concentrated power were still fresh. Only with the promise that ten limitations would be placed on this new Government did the States finally ratify the Constitution.

A Geo-Political Analysis Of Current Events In Light Of Biblical Prophecy

A Geo-Political Analysis Of Current Events In Light Of Biblical Prophecy

by R.A. Coombes

"America, The Babylon: Volumes 1 & 2"

Various, new, yet sometimes contradictory intelligence reports continue to pour across the A-O news desk offering a murky view of what may or may not develop in the next few weeks in the geo-political arena. These reports really began surfacing last week as we began to near the important Jewish Feast Days of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Some these intelligence reports suggest turbulent times perhaps beginning as early as Saturday, the last day of Rosh Hashanah.

Some of the more ominous reports deal with stories about Mega-terror strikes by Al Qaeda in both the Middle East and inside the continental United States. Some other reports indicate terror events engineered by Iranian terror cells located within the United States.

Other intelligence reports deal with alleged Iranian plans for a new form of asymmetrical warfare against the U.S., Israel, and Western Europe. Those reports are also indicating a new alliance has formed with Al Qaeda, Hezbollah and Hamas at the direction of Iran for the purpose of defeating Israel and Western society.

War and Terror

What especially caught our attention are reports of a Mega-terror campaign of events to unfold during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan which begins on the last day of Rosh Hashanah, September 24th. This campaign would be spearheaded by Al Qaeda with Mega-attacks inside the continental United States and at various points around the Middle East. Some of the intelligence reports we’ve seen are somewhat detailed in that they name names and describe conversations. Yet some of the reports are contradictory and we’ve just not been able to sort out which reports may be valid or invalid.

There are conflicting reports as to Iran’s intentions and role in such terror reports. Some indicate Iran quietly has joined forces with Al Qaeda but to what extent and for how long this relationship has been operative is subject to debate. Some analysts believe it has been ongoing for some time. Other analysts believe the relationship is just beginning. This is critical though to the validity of some reports because they report ongoing efforts for months or years between the two entities while other reports would deny such efforts have yet formed.

War Signals From Washington?

On the reverse side, we’re getting indications and signals suggesting that the Bush administration is preparing for war against Iran by launching air strikes against Iranian nuclear facilities as early as this October through December or as late as sometime next year. We noted in our (9-18-6) “Breaking News” page that Time Magazine is running a cover story on U.S. plans for air strikes against Iran perhaps as early as October. This seems highly improbable to us.

Our own A-O sources are indicating that the various leaked information from Pentagon sources to the mainstream news media includes orders for U.S. naval warships, notably slow-moving minesweepers to be ready for deployment as early as October 1. If orders were given to sail on that date, it would still take a month for those slow-moving ships to arrive on station in the Persian Gulf for mine-sweeping duties in the oil shipping lanes of the Gulf.

The only reason such ships would be on-station in the Gulf is to clear the oil shipping lanes of any mines laid by the Iranian navy. Iran would only perform such measures if it was being attacked by the U.S. therefore the conclusion to be drawn is that there is at least some discussion within the White House for such attacks in the near future.

Indeed, late reports from knowledgeable sources, are concluding that the Bush administration has most likely already decided to attack Iran, probably for some time frame as early as November or December but perhaps more likely for next year sometime. There are indications that the Bush administration is prepared to carry out such attacks without any allied assistance from NATO, the EU or even Israel.

Indeed, there are indications amid various reports that the White House does not feel that the current Israeli leadership is competent for any supporting combat roles. The consensus seems to be that the Israeli political structure is decaying from within and simply can not be counted upon as a stable allied resource

You may recall that A-O articles from earlier this year reflected insider reports that the Bush administration was planning to launch air strikes on Iran this spring or summer. Those plans were reportedly delayed by necessary preparations and the decision to play for more diplomacy to rally more world-wide support for a military response. Then came the Israeli-Hezbollah war on the Lebanese border. That event threw a complete monkey-wrench into the administration plans when Israel couldn’t get its act together to effectively open the door properly for an attack against Iran.

It has been our conclusion since the Lebanon war ended that the U.S. would hold off against any air strikes over Iranian air space this year. While we still suspect this to be the case, we are not so certain, based upon the new mainstream media attention to such possibilities. While we suspect that the major media is simply pounding war drums to wake up the public to potential events for next year, it is not out of the realm of thinking for the Bush team to be seriously thinking and planning military action before the mid-term elections in November. We note this because Time’s story includes reports of Pentagon orders for U.S. naval ships to be ready to put to sea by the first of October, which suggests something is planned for after that date.

A big reason why we think Bush will delay any air strikes until next year is because the Lebanon war revealed that Iran’s electronic air-defense technology was able to thwart U.S. electronic counter-measures and thus could inhibit U.S. aerial bombardment effectiveness. This development further created a temporary setback but for how long has been the subject of debate.

We have conflicting analysis from our own various experts on how long it would take to overcome the new Iranian ECM capabilities. Some say weeks, others say months to as much as a year. We’re not sure what the real answer is, but late reports suggest that either the the U.S. planners have already developed new counter-measures or determined the Iranian technology advances are not a problem or that regardless of the problems, the U.S. must act anyway. Sources we’ve spoken with guesstimate the likely time frame for completing ECM upgrades would be early in 2007, but wouldn’t rule out late this year either.

Regardless of the Time Magazine article, one thing we note is that the war clouds are indeed building around the world. Quiet conversations between informed geo-politics watchers for the past year and more have gravitated towards a coming clash of civilizations, particularly Islam and Western Society. Paramount in this clash at the microcosm level is the ongoing geo-political clash between the United States and Iran, a clash whose history dates back to 1979 when radical Islamic fundamentalists overthrew the Shah of Iran and then later seized the U.S. embassy and held its occupants hostage for months.

One can easily point to the civilization clash so apparent in the Israeli-Arab dilemma, but the reality is that Islamic radical fundamentalism has not solely focused upon Israel or America. Indeed, Europe has also been a focal point for Muslim extremism, particularly France. Last year’s violent riots in France by Muslims were only the tip of the iceberg. Much of that activity was fomented by an Iranian-led consortium of radicals which prompted the government of France to alter its nuclear targeting policy. French nuclear battle plans and targets now include locations in Iran as Iran continues to thumb its nose at the UN and the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.

The Iran Factor

Have you noticed that in all of the wrangling between the West and Iran, Iran’s attitude has remained remarkably belligerent? Iran comes across as fearless and totally unafraid of any retribution. Why? Is it because Iran believes no one will stop them, so why show fear? Could there be another underlying reason for such confidence? If so, could it just be mere faith in their god, Allah?

Could Iran’s fearless attitude be stoked by something other than confidence or faith that no one will interfere with their program? It is as if Iran believes it is playing a game of geo-political, nuclear poker and thinks it has all the winning cards in its hand.

Indeed, Iran’s confidence and the cards in its poker hand may be that it already has nuclear weapons, purchased on the black market in the form of nuclear suitcase weapons from the Russian mob and former KGB agents. It may also be from other bombs purchased from the black market of Russia, Pakistan, and perhaps even North Korea.

Such Iranian confidence may also stem from other cards such as chemical and biological weapons as well as the small nuclear bombs, all of which have been smuggled into the United States by Iranian and Al Qaeda operatives working together as allies in a united cause to destroy the Great Satan – The United States of America.

Several analysts with expertise on the Islamic threat to America have noted that ever since 9-11, Iran and Al Qaeda seem to have quietly joined forces despite some public instances where both sides seem to reject the other. What if, Al Qaeda and Iran were secretly working hand-in-hand towards the ultimate liquidation of America yet publicly remaining at odds so as to cast off any suspicion and possible pre-emptive strikes by America?

What if both sides worked in stealth together to infiltrate America with thousands of agents who, at the right moment, launch a massive terror war from coast-to-coast across America using nuclear, chemical and biological weapons in a widespread, surprise attack? Is it possible? Could it be that such a possibility is near to being a reality?

Iran’s supreme confidence seems to be a dead give-away that something is amiss. There seems to be something which Iran knows, that we in the West don’t know. What Iran’s leadership knows or believes is fueling their confidence to the point of near arrogance. Yet in the past few days, Iran is sending out mixed signals as if it has suddenly become frightened, yet at the same time, Iran’s President appeared more confident than ever as he spoke at the UN to the General Assembly and later in a news conference.

Terrorism and the NWO Plans

We strongly suspect that Iran has been working all along with Osama bin Laden on a terror plan to destroy the United States before the United States can destroy Iran. We furthermore see signals that such a plan is about to be implemented in the very near future.

According to Hamid Mir, a Pakistani journalist, who has just returned from interviewing Al Qaeda leaders, final preparations have been completed for “Operation: American Hiroshima,” which is Al Qaeda’s follow-up response plan to its 9-11 attack. All is apparently in readiness for a “Mega-Attack” of nuclear proportions against the United States and within the United States.

It is our understanding (we could be wrong) based on intelligence sources and various published data that Al Qaeda has begun to secretly work, hand-in-hand, with Iranian operatives in the United States to jointly unleash a nuclear Mega-Attack on the United States in the near future. We base this upon private reports from American law enforcement sources who report capturing some of the operatives who were sneaking into the United States across both the southern and northern borders during the past several months.

Now, we should note that some intelligence sources disagree with this assessment noting that it is only been a matter of days or weeks that Al Qaeda has begun to form a closer, working relationship with Iran. These skeptics point out that Iran fears Al Qaeda and Al Qaeda fears Iran and both absolutely detest the Islamic theology of the other.

Yet in response to the skeptics who doubt there is much of a working relationship between the two, it should be noted that this whole episodic adventure is being underwritten in the supernatural realm and directed via the Illuminati whom we believe ultimately controls both groups. This means that the perceived “sectarian” difference may merely be a smoke screen. We suspect this to be the case. We suspect both Iran’s fanatics and Al Qaeda are under Illuminati control and doing the bidding for the Illuminist agenda, which is World War. Their role is to provoke such a war.

Even if there are enormous sectarian differences between the two sides, consider the age-old Middle Eastern saying: “The enemy of my enemy is my friend.” Thus, we’re inclined to believe both sides have had a working but extremely secretive relationship for sometime now. Thus, we’re inclined to think this relationship has had substantial time to work together towards a united goal of creating WW3 and taking out America and the West. They probably have been misled by their Illuminati handlers, who’ve told them that Islam will rule.

A number of Middle Eastern terrorist operatives have been apprehended this year inside America. What is noteworthy is that most if not all possessed “potassium iodide” tablets – used to prevent thyroid exposure to nuclear radiation. It is our understanding that the majority of these operatives who’ve been captured are Iranian agents of either Iranian origin or Shiite Arabs working for the Iranian government and not, repeat, NOT Al Qaeda. Al Qaeda is using their own operatives who are likewise crossing the border in alarming numbers, particularly through Mexico.

This combined effort by Iran and Al Qaeda puts aside the theological differences between Al Qaeda (primarily of the Sunni sectarian views) and Iran (primarily of Shia sectarian views) in order to form a powerful, silent infiltrating force, numbering in the thousands and uniting in a common goal to utterly destroy the United States of America from within by means of nuclear, chemical and biological terrorism.

The Iranian agents, as well as some agents of oriental background seem to be primarily crossing America’s northern borders although some reportedly are coming through the Mexican border as well. These discoveries by U.S. law enforcement are accelerating, which suggests that the infiltration across U.S. borders has been quietly accelerating while the Bush administration continues to adamantly refuse to seal the borders. It is, as if, the Bush administration wants the U.S. to be devastated from within by nuclear terror attacks.

Perhaps this is because the N.W.O. crowd has created the scenario as a means to trigger Albert Pike’s plan for the third world war, a war between the West and Islam. It is a war that will destroy both sides, allowing the Illuminati to come in and institute a global, New World Order and the arrival of a “messiah” i.e. The Antichrist.

The Illuminati War Plan

As we understand it, here is a rough sketch of the Illuminists war plan.

A war will erupt between the United States and the Islamic radicals. It will not be a traditional war in the sense of World Wars One or Two. This war will be asymmetrical and utilize non-uniformed fighters operating much like guerilla soldiers, only at first, they will confine their activities to those of terrorists. This war began back in the early 1990’s with the first clash being the 1993 bombing of the WTC. Next came the OKC bombing followed by the attack on the USS Cole and then came 9-11.

Each action was increasingly sophisticated and complex. So too will be the next action. However, if we understand the plan correctly, the next action will be a “Mega-attack” not only on the continental United States but also against U.S. military assets in the Persian Gulf and European military assets in the Mediterranean. In addition to this, terror operations will commence in full force against Arab oil facilities in the Persian Gulf to destabilize current regimes and either overthrow them or force them to submit to cooperation with a United Islamic front, in which the entire Islamic world then wages war on Europe first, then switching to Asia and finally to South America and Australia. The plan calls for total, global conquest of Islam planet-wide in phases.

Of course, little-known to the Islamic radicals, is that, in reality, they’re battling the Illuminists who’ve set them up for a suicide war with nuclear annihilation.

It appears that the Illuminists plan to sacrifice Babylon-America because the Illuminists within America were unable to achieve their objectives in a timely manner, namely the subordination of the nation to the United Nations. Indeed, the plan now seems to call also for the elimination of the United Nations in favor of a new world order form of global government that will likely be based in Jerusalem. The N.W.O. plans do not call for the annihilation of America, but rather an humbled America, subservient to the New World Order and the arrival of the Antichrist.

Illuminated Terror?

Here is how the planned steps will apparently unfold.

Intelligence sources are indicating that Al Qaeda (and Iran) wish to unleash their terror campaign beginning either on or sometime after September 24th during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.

The ideal plan would commence with the Mega-Attacks on the continental United States with simultaneous nuclear, chemical biological events unfolding across America in major cities and perhaps some smaller cities in more rural areas. The indications are that perhaps this is the year for unleashing this attack. However, keep in mind that God has His own plans for Babylon-America and He will enact His plans in His own good time. If the time is not right, none of what we’ve outlined will happen.

According to Hamid Amir, the Pakistani journalist, Osama bin Laden has assigned a man named Adnan Al-Shukri Juma to carry out this Mega-attack within the US. According to Mir, Adnan Jumaa has smuggled explosives and nuclear materials into the US through the Mexican border over the last two years and is hiding somewhere in America where the FBI has not been able to locate him.

Pakistani journalist Hamid Mir, when interviewed over al-Arabiya televison, has stated that during his recent trip to Afghanistan he met with Taliban fighters and al-Qaeda (Tehran) members who spoke of a nuclear terror attack inside the United States during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan which begins on September 24. That the attack is being planned by Adnan Al-Shukri Juma, an al-Qaeda agent who had been trained in nuclear technology along with other al-Qaeda members. The nuclear weapons are but part of the WMD triad of that also includes, chemical and biological agents.

It is thought that Washington and New York will be among the primary targets again. But there are indications depending on which intelligence analyst you consult that perhaps many cities could be struck either simultaneously or in rapid succession.

According to the Pakistani journalist, explosives and nuclear material have been smuggled into the U. S. through the Mexican border. There are reports floating around in law enforcement circles that some middle eastern men have been captured with a supply of iodide pills to protect against radiation damage to the thyroid glands.

If you will recall, former Soviet officials including Russian General Alexander Lebed have stated that when the Soviet Union broke up a lot of suitcase size nuclear bombs left and were unaccounted for, nearly 200 of them. It is thought by many that at least 75 of those suitcases fell into the hands of the Russian black market. No one wants to say for certain what happened to the bombs but various rumors have circulated for years that Al Qaeda and Iran made such purchases.
The bombs are fairly small by nuclear standards but were initially designed to destroy a large enemy military base. If placed in the heart of a major city, many civilian casualties would result. Multiply that times a dozen or 50 or 75 cities and you can imagine the potential results.

Combine this with other terror experts reporting on Al Qaeda plans for follow up attacks by perhaps tens of thousands of operatives functioning as guerilla fighters and you can envision the collapse of America from a complex terrorist-based war from within.

[ Editor’s Note: We do not believe these predicted events will transpire. Why? These events do not seem to fit the Biblical prophecies for Babylon-America. It is our interpretation of the writings that the continental United States will receive her judgment at the hands of angelic forces loyal to God.]

After America Is Attacked

If we understand the various intelligence reports and the analysts correctly, shortly after the American “Mega-Attacks, massive terror attacks will commence against Israel and UN forces in Lebanon as well as attacks against European naval assets off the coast of Lebanon.

Tehran is said to having asked al-Qaeda to expand its network in Lebanon in preparation for attacks against the European forces arriving in Lebanon. Recently Tehran had al-Qaeda designate them an “enemy of Islam” in order to seemingly distance themselves to prevent a retaliatory attack against Iran by European nations.

One Islamic news source quoted Lebanese journalist Hazem al-Amin, who works for the Saudi paper al-Hayat, as saying: “There are many groups in Lebanon that can be said linked to al-Qaeda, and even the Lebanese government has never denied this.”

Lebanon’s Interior Minister, Ahmad Fatfat. has repeatedly issued warnings about Al-Qaeda’s growing presence in Lebanon. According the Arabic TV network Al-Arabiya, the al-Qaeda agent preparing the operations against the UNIFIL force is 56 year old Abu Rushd al-Miqati, who is described as a “Middle East terrorism expert.” He is reportedly supervising 13 terror cells in Lebanon, mostly in the northern city of Tripoli as well as in Beirut and other parts of the country.
As Al Qaeda launches its strikes, Hezbollah and Hamas become active again against Israel. One analyst believes that Syrian troops will actively join the fight against Israel. We strongly suspect that if this is the case, Israel will “nuke” Damascus, thus fulfilling Isaiah 17:1.

As this is happening, Al Qaeda will apparently then launch strikes in the Sinai to destabilize the Egyptian government of President Mubarak before he can install his son as the next leader of Egypt which many believe is scheduled to occur next year.

At the same time, a massive offensive would begin against U.S. and Allied forces in Afghanistan by the Taliban and perhaps volunteers from Pakistan, perhaps even Pakistani military units. The Pakistani journalist noted that on his last trip to Afghanistan he met with a leader of Taliban named "Khaibar" in Zabul who claimed that 300 Taliban suicide bombers had managed to sneak into Kabul and Jalalabad to carry out attacks against coalition troops during Ramadan.

Mir alleges that there was a meeting between Bin Laden and Mullah Omar several few weeks ago in the mountain area of Zabul where they planned more attacks, "I received this piece of information from one of the Taliban leaders who attended the meeting himself and I met him recently in Afghanistan" Mir said. "He told me that this was the second meeting between the two men since last year and that Bin Laden's health seemed good while he was eating with Mullah Mohammad Omar.

The Pakistani journalist expressed his surprise of the changing situation in Afghanistan; saying that the Taliban had come back to rule some areas and spread their special courts, their special administrations, nothing that even some police officials follow their orders.

American Military Overseas Targeted

At the same time, U.S. and Allied forces would come under attack from Iraqi sectarian forces of both the Shiites and the Sunnis. There would then be a call by the Iraqi government for assistance from Iran to complete the annihilation of U.S. and Allied forces in Iraq.

Also during this time frame, Al Qaeda operatives would begin terror attacks against key oil installations in the Persian Gulf, with the purpose of destabilizing regimes on those areas. Al Qaeda’s #2 leader, Ayman al-Zawahiri recently released a video in which a declaration that “new events are on the way” and indicated Western bases in the Persian Gulf will be attacked causing “economic doom” in the West. Israel is also mentioned as being attacked again.

This would complete the first war, perhaps best defined as the Babylon War. The result would be the total devastation of America by terrorist nuclear weapons and the use of chemical and biological agents.

The next phase would be a war between the Islamic world and Europe, but its not clear what the time frame would be. There might be a short interval of time or it might be an interval of 2 to 4 years.

With America, out of the way, Russia’s President Putin anticipates a renewed domination of all of Europe by being Europe’s protector and engaging in war against Iran and the Muslim world. There are indications and indeed at least one report that Russia’s President Putin is very much aware of Evangelical Christian prophecy expert theories that tag Russia as the Magog of Ezekiel 38 and 39 and there are also reports that he’s determined to avoid any such activity by instead joining as a defender of Israel when the time is right. Apparently, Putin also prefers Turkey to be the Magog nation that joins Iran in the invasion of Israel.

Now let’s look at this from the more prophetic angle.

Biblical Prophecy Analysis

As an author and researcher on the Babylon prophecies for nearly 20 years now, I’ve studied every element of these prophecies inside and out. My published views on this subject appear in “America, The Babylon” Volumes One and Two, with a specific reference to the verses of Isaiah 13:17, Jeremiah 51:1-2, 11, and 27-28. In Appendix X “The Debate: Who Destroys Mystery Babylon?” (pages 356-363) and again in Appendix XI “The War on Terror and the Mystery Babylon Prophecies” pages 364-368 deal with the issues of who destroys Babylon and the role of terrorism.

As a researcher, dedicated to the issues of prophetic Babylon, I periodically review my research data, for fresh updates and to re-analyze various aspects for any significant clues that might affect how to understand what is now happening. This ongoing review has been extensive and covered a period of several months, beginning early this year. I have just concluded my review and while its possible that God might use Middle Eastern terrorists to inflict His judgment upon the continental United States we do not believe the written texts indicates this.

It is my conclusion after this extensive review that while one can make a case for terrorists assisting in the destruction of mainland America, that case is fairly weak. The only possible reference for such a notion comes from the word “Fanners” (or “winnowers) in Jeremiah 51:2. While the Hebrew is not explicit, the overall context continues to strongly suggest to myself that the infliction of judgment upon mainland Babylon-America will be carried out by God’s angelic forces, not by terrorists.

In addition, the prophecies indicate no major “nuclear terror events” would unfold before God’s judgment because Babylon-America is described as not having suffered any such previous devastation i.e. has seen no sorrow. (Isa. 47:8 & Rev 18:7).

Some would ask us about 9-11 and shouldn’t it have been a “sorrowful” event? Our response is that while 9-11 was a powerful event for us, we’ve seen far greater loss of life from natural disasters like hurricanes and the Great San Francisco earthquake of 1906. The texts of Isaiah 47:8 and Revelation 18:7 suggest no devastating military defeats upon her homeland by foreign powers, which is the context of those verses. Therefore, we conclude that these verses then would also apply against terror attacks carried out by Al Qaeda or Iranian agents, prior to God’s own supernatural judgments inflicted upon the mainland of America.

So in conclusion to all of these reports we simply respond to these reports and note that this is what the New World Order is planning, but its not necessarily what is going to happen. The timing is also up for debate. Unless God is now prepared to act within the next few weeks against America, such plans will be merely “rumors of wars” to come.

It is incumbent however, that we maintain vigilance, particularly in light of certain prophetic elements such as the “generation” not passing away until all these things are fulfilled, mentioned by Jesus Christ as indicating a generational time frame of 40 years. Deborah Fenech, in her article on this very subject posted recently on A-O suggests that the generational clock began ticking on June 7, 1967 and ticks for 40 years – the time frame for a generation as shown in the Genesis account of the Jews wandering in the Wilderness of Sinai for 40 years before moving to conquer Canaan.

This timing theory then puts the end of that period as next June 7, 2007. Those who hold to a pre-tribulational rapture event then would be looking carefully for His Return for the rescue of the Church sometime between now and then.

Some even hold to the theory that the Lord’s “rapturing” of the Church will come on one of the two festival days of Rosh Hashanah, which begins today on 9-22-6 at sundown, Jerusalem time and ends with sundown Sunday on 9-24-6. We find this theory to be a very intriguing one, but this researcher personally doesn’t restrict the event to any particular festival but instead leaves the window open for 365 days a year. We could be wrong but so also could the Rosh Hashanah theory, as also other festival theories. Regardless, I personally will keep an especially sharp eye out for the next 60+ hours and recommend all readers do the same with eager anticipation, yet not to the point of being disillusioned should He choose this to not be the moment. He will come in the time of His choosing and it is not for us to know with absolute certainty the day or the hour nor the year of His rescue of the Church from the wrath of God that is to come.

Remember this: “For God hath not appointed us unto wrath but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” .. First Thessalonians 5:9 Please note that the Rapture of the Church, that “catching away” of the remnant is the final act of Salvation for all those believing in His substitutionary atonement given us as an unearned gift and appropriated on the basis of Faith/belief in His actions at the cross, the Resurrection and at our transfiguration in the “catching away.”
