A senior Palestinian intelligence official said that based on meetings with American diplomats he "understood" the U.S. plans to target Iran's suspected nuclear installations in two to three months if negotiations with Tehran don't generate a major breakthrough. The official, speaking to WND yesterday on condition of anonymity, said according to what he "understood," the U.S. will "pay" for Arab support for a U.S. strike against Iran by creating a temporary Palestinian state in the Gaza Strip and most of the West Bank by next summer. The official met last week with U.S. secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during her trip here earlier this month to prepare for a U.S.-sponsored Israeli-Palestinian summit slated for next month in which Israel is expected to outline a future Palestinian state in most of the West Bank.

The Palestinian intelligence official would not say if he was basing his information on any specific statements by U.S. officials that a military operation against Iran was in the works. "It's based on what I understood from the Americans," he told WND. More details, LINK here.

US Vice President Dick Cheney -- the power behind the throne, the eminence grise, the man with the (very) occasional grandfatherly smile -- is notorious for his propensity for secretiveness and behind-the-scenes manipulation. He's capable of anything, say friends as well as enemies. Given this reputation, it's no big surprise that Cheney has already asked for a backroom analysis of how a war with Iran might begin.

In the scenario concocted by Cheney's strategists, Washington's first step would be to convince Israel to fire missiles at Iran's uranium enrichment plant in Natanz. Tehran would retaliate with its own strike, providing the US with an excuse to attack military targets and nuclear facilities in Iran. This information was leaked by an official close to the vice president. Cheney himself hasn't denied engaging in such war games. For years, in fact, he's been open about his opinion that an attack on Iran, a member of US President George W. Bush's "Axis of Evil," is inevitable.

Syria Nuke Facility Revealed

Satellite Photos Show Site Clean-up

New commercial satellite photos show that a Syrian site believed to have been attacked by Israel last month no longer bears any obvious traces of what some analysts said appeared to have been a partly built nuclear reactor. Two photos, taken Wednesday from space by rival companies, show the site near the Euphrates River to have been wiped clean since August, when imagery showed a tall square building there measuring about 150 feet on a side.

The Syrians reported an attack by Israel in early September; the Israelis have not confirmed that. Senior Syrian officials continue to deny that a nuclear reactor was under construction, insisting that Israel hit a largely empty military warehouse. But the images, federal and private analysts say, suggest that the Syrian authorities rushed to dismantle the facility after the strike, calling it a tacit admission of guilt. "It's a magic act — here today, gone tomorrow," a senior intelligence official said. "It doesn't lower suspicions; it raises them. This was not a long-term decommissioning of a building, which can take a year. It was speedy. It's incredible that they could have gone to that effort to make something go away."

"It looks like Syria is trying to hide something and destroy the evidence of some activity," Albright said in an interview. "But it won't work. Syria has got to answer questions about what it was doing."

The striking difference in the satellite photos surprised even some outside experts who were skeptical that Syria might be developing a nuclear program. "It's clearly very suspicious," said Joseph Cirincione, an expert on nuclear proliferation at the Center for American Progress in Washington. "The Syrians were up to something that they clearly didn't want the world to know about." Cirincione said the photographic evidence "tilts toward a nuclear program" but does not prove that Syria was building a reactor. Besides, he said, even if it was developing a nuclear program, Syria would be years away from being operational, and thus not an imminent threat.

There are intelligence reports however indicating that the facility was a small plutonium-related reactor designed to make dirty bombs, not the higher-tech warheads for missiles or air bombs. For moe on the media coverage of this story, LINK here.

Flew It Back to Israel?

Debkafile reports that President Bush is unhappy with Secretary of State Rice's diplomacy strategies. Apparently in the past two weeks, Bush has begun to lose confidence in Rice's diplomatic abilities due in part to diplomatic setbacks as well as Rice's opposition to military action against Iran. Debka claims Bush is also at loggerheads with Rice over the Israeli attack on a Syrian nuclear facility. Rice reportedly opposed the idea and Bush approved and ordered US assistance over Rice's objections.

Also, Debka is providing startling new details about Israel's attack on the Syrian nuclear installation. According to Debka -- Israel did NOT bomb the facility after all, but instead attacked the facility with special commando forces and helicopters. The Israeli jets merely provided air cover. According to Debka, the Israeli troops and numerous nuclear technicians - dismantled the entire plutonium nuclear reactor and flew it back to Israel, then blew up the facility. It is not known if Syrian, Iranian and North Korean workers at the facility were also taken back to Israel or not.

The Debka report just happens to coincide with mainstream news media coverage of satellite photos of the alleged facility with before and after pictures strongly suggesting that Syria has since thoroughly razed the remainder of the facility to make it look like nothing had ever been there. (A-O Newswire) -- The world has reached the point of maximum oil output and production levels will halve by 2030 -- a situation that will eventually lead to war and disaster, a report claims. The German-based Energy Watch Group released a report Tuesday saying the world's oil production peaked in 2006 and from now on will drop by around 3 percent a year. It says that by as early as 2030, the global availability of oil will be half of what it was at its peak.

"It's a very serious result," said Hans-Josef Fell, a German lawmaker from the environmentalist Green Party who commissioned the report. "I fear the world will come into a big economic crisis in the coming years." The report warns that coal, uranium, and other key fossil fuels are also in declining supply. It predicts the fall in fossil fuel production will bring with it the threat of war, humanitarian disaster, and general social unrest.

The report does have detractors and skeptics, most notably within the oil industry. There have been numerous rumors and claims that the oil industry is hiding the fact that there are more oil reserves than publicly acknowledged. One particular claim, says that there is a tremendous amount of oil remaining in Alaska. This is apparently true according to one oil industry source who in the past confided as much to A-O, but the catch is in reaching the reserve deposits and getting it out of the ground and into the distribution system in an ultra-hostile environment. Alaskan winter weather makes it nearly impossible to reach and remove at least without losing vast amounts of money.

One oil geologist confided to this reporter three decades ago that there was believed to be an extremely large pool of oil underground in central and northern Illinois, but it is extremely deep and covered by an impenetrable layer of granite rock that simply cannot be drilled through. The same expert also reported that there was a belief there were also large oil reserves through northern Indiana as well as Ohio and even in Pennsylvania but again, impossible to reach or uneconomical to reach. The expert noted that if it costs $100 to $200 per barrel to bring to market and the price of oil is $20.00 a barrel, you're going to lose a lot of money that investors would rather not lose.

The geologist noted that the entire midwest region, from Illinois to Pennsylvania was believed to be part of a huge oil deposit reserve but that much of it was unreachable and hard to even detect. He indicated that present technology was simply unable to reach those deposits, not only there but in other areas of the world, including on land and under the ocean floors.

For that reason, most experts have been predicting a time of "peak oil" based in part on fewer new oil fields to be discovered where oil was easy to recover and increased usage/demand unable to keep up with demand, plus dwindling oil fields. When an oil field reaches a certain level, it becomes more difficult to extract both in time and effort. This appears to be happening now as reports from Saudi Arabia in the last two to three years indicate the Saudi fields are beginning to sputter. The Saudis are very secretive about this fact and consider it necessary to hide the fact that many of their oil fields are depleting to the point of sputtering.

As noted earlier in this article, the ramifications of dwindling oil supplies portends serious geo-political consequences as nations battle for the remaining oil supplies to keep their economies lubricated and functioning.

Will Impose Drastic New Sanctions On Iran

The Washington Post is reporting that the Bush adminsitration is expected to declare the Iranian Revolutionary Guards a terrorist organization and will move to slap new and drastic sanctions against Iran. The measures are scheduled to be announced Thursday at a joint press conference conducted by US Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice and Treasury Secretary, Henry Paulson.

It will be the first time that the United States has tried to isolate or punish another nation's military. It will also include the broadest package of sanctions imposed on Iran since the 1979 takeover by Islamic radicals.

The new sanctions will empower the United States to financially isolate a large part of Iran's military and anyone inside or outside Iran who does business with it, U.S. officials said. The measures could affect hundreds of foreign companies by squeezing them to drop Iranian business or risk U.S. sanctions.

The Revolutionary Guard Corps, which numbers at least 125,000, is the most powerful wing of Iran's military. It controls a growing sector of the economy, including construction companies, aspects of the oil industry, pharmaceutical plants, telecommunications and ordinary commerce. U.S. officials said it also operates the front companies that procure nuclear technology.

The administration will designate the entire Revolutionary Guard under Executive Order 13382, signed by President Bush in June 2005, which allows the United States to freeze the assets of any proliferator of weapons of mass destruction and its supporters. Iran is being designated for its ballistic missile program. The United States will announce a list of Iranians involved in that program -- civilians as well as military officials -- who will also be designated, U.S. officials said.

Under the same executive order, the administration also intends to designate Iran's Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, which controls Iran's defense industries, as well as companies owned or controlled by the Revolutionary Guard, U.S. officials said.

The overall impact, according to U.S. officials, will be to make a pariah of the most critical parts of Iran's military and its defense and commercial industries.

The Quds Force, the foreign operations branch of the Revolutionary Guard Corps, will be designated separately as a supporter of terrorism under Executive Order 13224, which Bush signed two weeks after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks to obstruct terrorist funding, U.S. officials said. It authorizes the United States to identify individuals, businesses, charities and extremist groups engaged in terrorism.

The Quds Force -- "Quds" is Arabic for Jerusalem -- is estimated to number up to 15,000 and runs Tehran's covert activities throughout the Middle East, including arms, aid and training for groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad. U.S. officials say that it has provided the high-tech bombs capable of penetrating armored vehicles and the roadside explosives that are the No. 1 killer of U.S. forces in Iraq.

Geo-political analysts believe that this step is the next step in a preliminary process that will lead to war with Iran beginning with air strikes against the Iranian Revolutionary Guard's facilities inside Iran.

It never fails and Bush just doesn’t get it, or is it that he is blinded to the truth of Gen. 12:3. With absolutely no possibility of peace at this time or ever between the so-called Palestinians and Israel, Bush sends Rice to push for the Annapolis summit, knowing full well it spells the destruction of Israel. I remember right after the second Iraqi war began I said that Bush has made a deal with the Saudis and other Arab nations to put Israel on the table and promised to deliver Israel if they would sit still for this war. (The Bush Road Map) Of course I was and still am called a lot of not so nice names, namely a Bush Basher. Many have come to their senses and now can see Bush for what and who he is.

Once again we see God’s hand in all of the fires of California and I can remember not long ago it was the floods all over that state, or all over the US for that matter. And for the parts not experiencing floods they are having drought. And for those who say God doesn’t use the weather to make His point I offer you once again this Scripture and there are many others.

Is it wicked weather or God’s wrath?

Just something to think about, they were using the term on Fox News “wicked weather” but for some reason have quit. There doesn’t seem to be any normal weather any more, today the US is either burning or flooding, having tornados in places never heard of before, hurricanes, floods and fires and I have the feeling we haven’t seen nothing yet. Three States burning, two towns in Texas completely wiped out. New Orleans, and many other towns along the gulf wiped out, isn’t it interesting that this happened after Bush forced the Disengagement of Gaza making 9000 Jews homeless in their own country. Gen. 12:3.

JOB 37:

Now we see California burning right after Bush sends Rice for the final solution of destroying Israel in favor of the Saudis the Bush family oil partners and friends. The US Dollar is about to go under and Russia threatening once again with nuclear war with the US. Iran is threatening Israel and the whole world with a nuclear holocaust.

The US has Mosques in nearly every state paid for by the Saudis and in every one of these Mosques they teach nothing by Wahhabi Islam, so maybe Bush does get it, it is the American Citizens who don’t get it.

It is my prayer daily that the US citizens will wake up and turn to God before it’s too late, and that the Israeli Government will finally get the courage to kick this corrupt Prime Minister and his followers left behind by Ariel Sharon out of office and put true Zionist in their place.

I read in the Jerusalem Post this morning that Bush is giving Abbas another $375 million to the Palestinians, and Abbas once again promises to put 500 “Palestinian Police on the street of Nablus. No one ever ask Abbas where those 500 police have been sitting around all this time, but you can believe Abbas is just speaking another lie. And once again Bush is speaking about giving Abbas more guns to kill Jews with. So hold on American the real hell hasn’t come yet but it most certainly will.

Daily our civilians are being shelled by Hamas and other Islamic terrorists from inside Gaza, yet I have never heard the UN or anyone else condemn this act of war or called what it is a war crime to target civilians on a daily basis. Instead the US and others keep giving the “Palestinians” more and more weapons and money to kill us with, and out of the other side of their mouths they say they are friends with Israel, with such friends we don’t need any enemies.

I doubt if the Annapolis summit will even take place, there still hasn’t been a date set and the only one who wants it to happen is Bush and Rice, the Palestinians and the Israelis know it is useless. Abbas has already said that if he doesn’t get all that he is asking for including the return of all refugees (the total destruction of Israel) he will start the third Intifata and it will be worse than the first two. Can you think what might happen if Mexico talked like that to the US over Texas and New Mexico and started shelling border cities along the Mexican border?

The package was to be announced jointly by secretary of state Condoleezza Rice and treasury secretary Henry Paulson and include branding Iran’s Revolutionary Guards Corps proliferators of weapons of mass destruction and the al Qods Brigade sponsor of terrorists. The defense ministry is also singled out for sanctions.

These steps are unprecedented. DEBKAfile’s Iranian sources recall that the Islamic regime announced in advance that approval of these measures would be deemed tantamount to an American declaration of war on Iran and call forth retaliation. Tehran would target US interests in the Persian Gulf, Iraq and Afghanistan or Israel by means of Special Groups, i.e. Iran’s foreign intelligence networks, Hizballah or Hamas.

DEBKAfile’s sources reveal that these reprisals may be delayed some days because of a profound power struggle taking place in Iran’s leadership. However, since the supreme ruler, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is directly affected as commander-in-chief of Iran’s armed forces, including the IRGC and its al Qods Brigade, Tehran cannot afford to let Washington’s accusations go unanswered.

The new sanctions package includes US financial penalties for any world firms trading with the Revolutionary Guards. They would apply to more than 1,000 companies in Europe, the Middle East, the Persian Gulf and Asia. Our Iranian sources note that since IRGC-owned companies control more than 35 percent of Iran’s economic activities, the new sanctions will have a crippling effect on its national economy. This is already hard hit by Washington’s systematic blockage of Iran’s dealings with international banks, which has left Tehran seriously short of cash flow, foreign currency and basic commodities.

According to DEBKAfile’s sources, Iran very recently sent Indonesia an “emergency appeal” for gasoline and heavy oil, because it has run out of currency to pay for imported refined oil products. Tehran offered to reward Jakarta with a concession for building big new oil refineries, which Iran lacks.

Indonesia has not yet replied. Its government must take into account that no serious world oil enterprise would be willing to cooperate in a refinery project in Iran for fear of a backlash from the American boycott.

Too Late for Sanctions or Talks

Debkafile is reporting that Israel's Prime Minister Olmert provided Russia's President Putin with an Israeli intelligence warning of an Iranian nuclear breakthrough while Defense Minister Barak did the same to President Bush. Olmert is providing the same information to French and the British leaders.

Olmert's message is that the time for diplomacy and sanctions has passed. The only thing that will prevent Iran from building its own nuclear weapons is military action. American reaction to the news was US Vice President Cheney's remark: "Our country, and the entire international community, cannot stand by as a terror-supporting state fulfills its grandest ambitions." Last Friday the new Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Admiral Mullen said that US forces are capable of operations against Iran's nuclear facilities or other targets indicating that US forces are not stretched so far that America couldn't deal with Iran's nuclear threat.

According to Debka sources, Israeli intelligence has discovered that Syria has been worling on a plutonium reactor and the intelligence community now suspects that if Syria has been working to build a plutonium reactor then undoubtedly so is Iran. A plutonium reactor is used for more advanced nuclear weapons, far greater than the atomic bombs of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. Intellience experts surmise that any Iranian plutonium reactor program is likey buried in a secret underground mountain facility. If that is the case, only large nuclear weapons would likely destroy the facility according to other A-O sources.

National gasoline prices are averaging over $2.80. China and Japan have been dumping the dollar on foreign markets, devaluing the dollar against other currencies. Oil prices are hovering at record levels.

Recently, California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law bills designed to teach homosexuality as normal in California’s public schools. A school board in Maine voted to give birth control pills to sixth graders without parental notification. The U.S. Congress is considering legislation to require employers to hire homosexuals by not allowing businesses to discriminate based on “sexual orientation.” The Bush Administration’s relationships with China, Russia, Iran and Turkey have been strained in recent weeks, calling some attention to those nations that are prophetically involved in end time prophecies.

In addition, President Bush has bent over backwards to promote other god’s at the expense of his own Christianity. In meeting with the Dalai Lama, Bush called him “His Holiness” and a great spiritual leader. Congress followed suit by awarding the Buddhist the Congressional Gold Medal —the highest honor that can be bestowed upon a civilian. The US Mint created a coin in his honor.

Earlier, the President, in responding to Ramadan said that he believes, “…in an Almighty God, and I believe that all the world, whether they be Muslim, Christian, or any other religion, prays to the same God. That's what I believe.” Meantime, his Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is pressuring Israel to divide the city of Jerusalem in a “land for peace” deal.

Most people would never connect all these current events. But from a spiritual sense, they may well be connected. First, the United States through its leadership is on a fast track in turning against God. Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” If the leadership of this nation reflects the nation, it is apparent that America is turning away from the Lord. In Zechariah 12:9, the Lord says, “And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” These are days of great prophetic significance. The prophecies contain both blessings and judgments and while people cannot stop the march of prophecy, they may determine their place in it. It is time to stand firm in the Lord.

Staff members for President Bush have helped congressional staffers work on "religious exemption" language for a new "anti-discrimination" proposal that actually would codify in federal statutes an anti-Christian bias, and that will make it harder for him to veto, according to an activist group.

"Americans For Truth has learned that a White House official has boasted to pro-family leaders attending a private administration briefing that White House staffers were involved in the negotiations to craft expanded religious exemption language for the new ENDA bill," according to Peter LaBarbera's Americans For Truth organization.

"At the briefing, the White House official did not commit to the assembled evangelical leaders that the president would veto [ENDA], saying that they will wait to see the bill's final language, according to our source. This is troubling in that vetoing ENDA in any form is regarded as a 'no-brainer' by pro-family activists, who are counting on Bush to stop it," he continued

His organization is running a campaign to encourage people to contact the White House to express their opposition to the plan.

"Some religious leaders take comfort in ENDA's exemptions; we do not," he continued. "White House involvement in negotiations over ENDA is problematic in that makes it more difficult for President Bush to veto the bill.

"H.R. 3685's current religious exemption will hardly affect the many ways in which ENDA would erode and destroy the freedom of Americans to act on their deeply held moral beliefs about homosexuality," he said.

The proposal, for which homosexual and transsexual activists are crusading, "has tremendous potential to criminalize Christianity in the United States by creating federal 'rights' based on wrong and destructive lifestyle," he said. The plan was approved just days ago by the House Education and Labor Committee and is headed for a House floor vote.

As WND reported earlier, proposals such as the Employment Non-Discrimination Act would give special privileges to "gay" and "transgendered" individuals.

"If passed, the bill would grant special employment rights and protected minority status to individuals who define themselves based upon chosen sexual behaviors," said Matt Barber, a policy analyst with Concerned Women for America, the nation's largest public policy women's group.

"It would force employers to abandon their First Amendment civil rights at the workplace door," he said.

Social conservatives have depended on President Bush to either use a veto, or threaten a veto, to halt the advance of such societal-changing plans being assembled in Congress. He's already expressed that there's "no need" for "hate crimes" legislation which also would create special privileges for those who identify themselves with an alternative sexual lifestyle.

But Barber said the "religious exemption" being assembled is anything but. "At best, only churches – and essentially pastors – could be exempt from the provisions of ENDA, and that's not even guaranteed."

"All other faith-based organizations – even though which are tax exempt – would be discriminated against under the bill. Groups such as Christian schools, Christian camps, faith-based soup kitchens and Bible book stores would be forced to adopt a view of human sexuality which directly conflicts with fundamental tenets of their faith," he said.

"ENDA would ultimately give liberal judges the authority to subjectively determine who qualifies for the exemption. It's the goose that laid the golden egg for homosexual activist attorneys, and it would open the floodgates for lawsuits against employers who wish to live out their faith and even those who don't," he said.

LaBarbera said the word that White House staffers have been working on proposals makes the situation worse,

"Failure to veto ENDA would be a devastating defeat for pro-family forces and a huge gift to homosexual lobbyists. Call the president …. and urge him to 'please publicly pledge to veto ENDA ... in any form if it passes Congress,'" he said.

He said it is a dangerous precedent to install in federal law "rights" based on changeable homosexual/bisexual behavior.

"Homosexuality is not a 'civil right,' it is a human wrong – one that is redeemable as proven by thousands of contented former homosexuals and ex-lesbians. Our Founding Fathers, infused with a biblical view of fallen man, created limited government that sought to restrain the sinful outworking of men's hearts … The law once punished sin (e.g., sodomy and anti-abortion laws), so it is preposterous to say that homosexuality affirming laws are necessary to uphold basic 'constitutional rights,'" LaBarbera said.

The law as proposed would apply to any business with 15 or more employees and would declare "it shall be an unlawful employment practice for an employer … to fail or refuse to hire or to discharge any individual, or otherwise discriminate against any individual with respect to the compensation, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment of the individual, because of such individual's actual or perceived sexual orientation or gender identity."

LaBarbera said the law also could be used to defend placing openly homosexual and bisexual teachers in public schools.

"It must be remembered that top homosexual strategists now assert that their 'moral' claim (the right not to be treated differently based on their 'sexual orientation') trumps our religious/moral obligation to oppose homosexuality," LaBarbera said.

He also said the plan is built on house of cards, since there is no outbreak of homosexuals getting fired. Instead, it is Christians defending their faith in the public arena being mistreated, he said.

"ENDA would force all Americans who prefer to live within the realm of reality to pretend, by force of law, that a man is a woman – that an apple is an orange, simply because that apple thinks it's an orange (awkward, fruity pun not intended). It's 'The Emperor's New Clothes' meets George Orwell, and even if you're the Mary Lou Retton of mental gymnastics, you land flat on your keister on this one," Barber said.

He said the law actually would violate the Civil Rights Act of 1964 "by codifying the very thing it purports to prevent – workplace discrimination."

As WND has reported, this issue recently came to a head in California, where Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed into law a ban on anything that includes a "discriminatory bias" that could be perceived as being against bisexuals, transsexuals and homosexuals in all public schools.

There, analysts have concluded that even the terms "mom and dad" and "husband and wife" could be banned because someone in a same-sex lifestyle choice could perceive that as being derogatory.
