The Obama Economy
As the Dow keeps dropping, the President is running out of people to blame.

As 2009 opened, three weeks before Barack Obama took office, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 9034 on January 2, its highest level since the autumn panic. Yesterday the Dow fell another 4.24% to 6763, for an overall decline of 25% in two months and to its lowest level since 1997. The dismaying message here is that President Obama's policies have become part of the economy's problem.

Americans have welcomed the Obama era in the same spirit of hope the President campaigned on. But after five weeks in office, it's become clear that Mr. Obama's policies are slowing, if not stopping, what would otherwise be the normal process of economic recovery. From punishing business to squandering scarce national public resources, Team Obama is creating more uncertainty and less confidence -- and thus a longer period of recession or subpar growth.

The Democrats who now run Washington don't want to hear this, because they benefit from blaming all bad economic news on President Bush. And Mr. Obama has inherited an unusual recession deepened by credit problems, both of which will take time to climb out of. But it's also true that the economy has fallen far enough, and long enough, that much of the excess that led to recession is being worked off. Already 15 months old, the current recession will soon match the average length -- and average job loss -- of the last three postwar downturns. What goes down will come up -- unless destructive policies interfere with the sources of potential recovery.

And those sources have been forming for some time. The prices of oil and other commodities have fallen by two-thirds since their 2008 summer peak, which has the effect of a major tax cut. The world is awash in liquidity, thanks to monetary ease by the Federal Reserve and other central banks. Monetary policy operates with a lag, but last year's easing will eventually stir economic activity.

Housing prices have fallen 27% from their Case-Shiller peak, or some two-thirds of the way back to their historical trend. While still high, credit spreads are far from their peaks during the panic, and corporate borrowers are again able to tap the credit markets. As equities were signaling with their late 2008 rally and January top, growth should under normal circumstances begin to appear in the second half of this year.

So what has happened in the last two months? The economy has received no great new outside shock. Exchange rates and other prices have been stable, and there are no security crises of note. The reality of a sharp recession has been known and built into stock prices since last year's fourth quarter.

What is new is the unveiling of Mr. Obama's agenda and his approach to governance. Every new President has a finite stock of capital -- financial and political -- to deploy, and amid recession Mr. Obama has more than most. But one negative revelation has been the way he has chosen to spend his scarce resources on income transfers rather than growth promotion. Most of his "stimulus" spending was devoted to social programs, rather than public works, and nearly all of the tax cuts were devoted to income maintenance rather than to improving incentives to work or invest.

His Treasury has been making a similar mistake with its financial bailout plans. The banking system needs to work through its losses, and one necessary use of public capital is to assist in burning down those bad assets as fast as possible. Yet most of Team Obama's ministrations so far have gone toward triage and life support, rather than repair and recovery.

AIG yesterday received its fourth "rescue," including $70 billion in Troubled Asset Relief Program cash, without any clear business direction. (See here.) Citigroup's restructuring last week added not a dollar of new capital, and also no clear direction. Perhaps the imminent Treasury "stress tests" will clear the decks, but until they do the banks are all living in fear of becoming the next AIG. All of this squanders public money that could better go toward burning down bank debt.

The market has notably plunged since Mr. Obama introduced his budget last week, and that should be no surprise. The document was a declaration of hostility toward capitalists across the economy. Health-care stocks have dived on fears of new government mandates and price controls. Private lenders to students have been told they're no longer wanted. Anyone who uses carbon energy has been warned to expect a huge tax increase from cap and trade. And every risk-taker and investor now knows that another tax increase will slam the economy in 2011, unless Mr. Obama lets Speaker Nancy Pelosi impose one even earlier.

Meanwhile, Congress demands more bank lending even as it assails lenders and threatens to let judges rewrite mortgage contracts. The powers in Congress -- unrebuked by Mr. Obama -- are ridiculing and punishing the very capitalists who are essential to a sustainable recovery. The result has been a capital strike, and the return of the fear from last year that we could face a far deeper downturn. This is no way to nurture a wounded economy back to health.

Listening to Mr. Obama and his chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, on the weekend, we couldn't help but wonder if they appreciate any of this. They seem preoccupied with going to the barricades against Republicans who wield little power, or picking a fight with Rush Limbaugh, as if this is the kind of economic leadership Americans want.

Perhaps they're reading the polls and figure they have two or three years before voters stop blaming Republicans and Mr. Bush for the economy. Even if that's right in the long run, in the meantime their assault on business and investors is delaying a recovery and ensuring that the expansion will be weaker than it should be when it finally does arrive.

Obama's Radicalism Is Killing the Dow
A financial crisis is the worst time to change the foundations of American capitalism.

It's hard not to see the continued sell-off on Wall Street and the growing fear on Main Street as a product, at least in part, of the realization that our new president's policies are designed to radically re-engineer the market-based U.S. economy, not just mitigate the recession and financial crisis.

Instead of combining the best policies of past Democratic presidents -- John Kennedy on taxes, Bill Clinton on welfare reform and a balanced budget, for instance -- President Obama is returning to Jimmy Carter's higher taxes and Mr. Clinton's draconian defense drawdown.

Mr. Obama's $3.6 trillion budget blueprint, by his own admission, redefines the role of government in our economy and society. The budget more than doubles the national debt held by the public, adding more to the debt than all previous presidents -- from George Washington to George W. Bush -- combined. It reduces defense spending to a level not sustained since the dangerous days before World War II, while increasing nondefense spending (relative to GDP) to the highest level in U.S. history. And it would raise taxes to historically high levels (again, relative to GDP). And all of this before addressing the impending explosion in Social Security and Medicare costs.

To be fair, specific parts of the president's budget are admirable and deserve support: increased means-testing in agriculture and medical payments; permanent indexing of the alternative minimum tax and other tax reductions; recognizing the need for further financial rescue and likely losses thereon; and bringing spending into the budget that was previously in supplemental appropriations, such as funding for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The specific problems, however, far outweigh the positives. First are the quite optimistic forecasts, despite the higher taxes and government micromanagement that will harm the economy. The budget projects a much shallower recession and stronger recovery than private forecasters or the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office are projecting. It implies a vast amount of additional spending and higher taxes, above and beyond even these record levels. For example, it calls for a down payment on universal health care, with the additional "resources" needed "TBD" (to be determined).

Mr. Obama has bravely said he will deal with the projected deficits in Medicare and Social Security. While reform of these programs is vital, the president has shown little interest in reining in the growth of real spending per beneficiary, and he has rejected increasing the retirement age. Instead, he's proposed additional taxes on earnings above the current payroll tax cap of $106,800 -- a bad policy that would raise marginal tax rates still further and barely dent the long-run deficit.

Increasing the top tax rates on earnings to 39.6% and on capital gains and dividends to 20% will reduce incentives for our most productive citizens and small businesses to work, save and invest -- with effective rates higher still because of restrictions on itemized deductions and raising the Social Security cap. As every economics student learns, high marginal rates distort economic decisions, the damage from which rises with the square of the rates (doubling the rates quadruples the harm). The president claims he is only hitting 2% of the population, but many more will at some point be in these brackets.

As for energy policy, the president's cap-and-trade plan for CO2 would ensnare a vast network of covered sources, opening up countless opportunities for political manipulation, bureaucracy, or worse. It would likely exacerbate volatility in energy prices, as permit prices soar in booms and collapse in busts. The European emissions trading system has been a dismal failure. A direct, transparent carbon tax would be far better.

Moreover, the president's energy proposals radically underestimate the time frame for bringing alternatives plausibly to scale. His own Energy Department estimates we will need a lot more oil and gas in the meantime, necessitating $11 trillion in capital investment to avoid permanently higher prices.

The president proposes a large defense drawdown to pay for exploding nondefense outlays -- similar to those of Presidents Carter and Clinton -- which were widely perceived by both Republicans and Democrats as having gone too far, leaving large holes in our military. We paid a high price for those mistakes and should not repeat them.

The president's proposed limitations on the value of itemized deductions for those in the top tax brackets would clobber itemized charitable contributions, half of which are by those at the top. This change effectively increases the cost to the donor by roughly 20% (to just over 72 cents from 60 cents per dollar donated). Estimates of the responsiveness of giving to after-tax prices range from a bit above to a little below proportionate, so reductions in giving will be large and permanent, even after the recession ends and the financial markets rebound.

A similar effect will exacerbate tax flight from states like California and New York, which rely on steeply progressive income taxes collecting a large fraction of revenue from a small fraction of their residents. This attack on decentralization permeates the budget -- e.g., killing the private fee-for-service Medicare option -- and will curtail the experimentation, innovation and competition that provide a road map to greater effectiveness.

The pervasive government subsidies and mandates -- in health, pharmaceuticals, energy and the like -- will do a poor job of picking winners and losers (ask the Japanese or Europeans) and will be difficult to unwind as recipients lobby for continuation and expansion. Expanding the scale and scope of government largess means that more and more of our best entrepreneurs, managers and workers will spend their time and talent chasing handouts subject to bureaucratic diktats, not the marketplace needs and wants of consumers.

Our competitors have lower corporate tax rates and tax only domestic earnings, yet the budget seeks to restrict deferral of taxes on overseas earnings, arguing it drives jobs overseas. But the academic research (most notably by Mihir Desai, C. Fritz Foley and James Hines Jr.) reveals the opposite: American firms' overseas investments strengthen their domestic operations and employee compensation.

New and expanded refundable tax credits would raise the fraction of taxpayers paying no income taxes to almost 50% from 38%. This is potentially the most pernicious feature of the president's budget, because it would cement a permanent voting majority with no stake in controlling the cost of general government.

From the poorly designed stimulus bill and vague new financial rescue plan, to the enormous expansion of government spending, taxes and debt somehow permanently strengthening economic growth, the assumptions underlying the president's economic program seem bereft of rigorous analysis and a careful reading of history.

Unfortunately, our history suggests new government programs, however noble the intent, more often wind up delivering less, more slowly, at far higher cost than projected, with potentially damaging unintended consequences. The most recent case, of course, was the government's meddling in the housing market to bring home ownership to low-income families, which became a prime cause of the current economic and financial disaster.

On the growth effects of a large expansion of government, the European social welfare states present a window on our potential future: standards of living permanently 30% lower than ours. Rounding off perceived rough edges of our economic system may well be called for, but a major, perhaps irreversible, step toward a European-style social welfare state with its concomitant long-run economic stagnation is not.

Russia calls for nuclear-free ME

Foreign Minister Lavrov says non-proliferation regime important for region, also wants to renew talks with US

Russia renewed calls for a nuclear-free Middle East, after holding bilateral talks in Geneva on Friday with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Addressing a disarmament conference following the talks, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov mentioned the importance of non-proliferation in this region.

"The task to strengthen the nuclear non-proliferation regime in the Middle East remains urgent. We consistently advocate this region to become a nuclear-weapon-free zone, and eventually, a zone free from all other types of weapons of mass destruction," he said.

Notably, Russia has been heavily involved in the construction of the Iranian nuclear reactor in Bushehr for the past decade and has been importing enriched uranium to the facility since 2007.

Warming ties with US
At the conference, Lavrov also called for a successor deal with the United States to their Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty (START I), saying this was a priority in 'resetting' their relations as Washington has urged.

"We are prepared, as was suggested by our American partners, to "reset" our relations ... Conclusion of a new legally- binding Russian-American treaty on strategic offensive weapons could become a priority step in that direction," he said.

He quoted President Dmitry Medvedev as saying that the agreement should be "forward-looking" and should limit not only nuclear warheads but also strategic delivery systems.

Lavrov also called for the "weaponization of outer space" to be prevented and urged Barack Obama's administration to ratify a global treaty banning underground nuclear tests.

An Illinois-based vaccine manufacturer is being investigated after an experiment gone very wrong led scientists to discover the company had released a contaminated product feared capable of starting a world-wide avian flu pandemic.

The Canadian Press reports that Baxter International's European research facility in Orth-Donau, Austria, supplied materials contaminated with the deadly avian H5N1 influenza virus to a research company that then sent portions to labs in the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Germany.

The labs thought they were receiving the less deadly, but more readily communicable, human H3N2 virus. When the Czech facility, however, injected a group of ferrets with the virus, the animals died – something that does not happen with H3N2 – prompting scientists to realize an error.

What the scientists were dealing with, in fact, was something far more dangerous.

Baxter's Austrian lab had sent a mix of H3N2 seasonal viruses and unlabeled, live H5N1 viruses. H3N2 is highly communicable, but less harmful. H5N1 is less easily transmitted to humans, but often lethal. If both strains, scientists fear, were to incubate in a single subject, a hybrid virus could be birthed capable of both sweeping the globe and killing in its wake.

Baxter International, which is based in Deerfield, Ill., said the contamination was the result of an error in its Austrian research facility.

Christopher Bona, Baxter's director of global bioscience communications, explained it as the result of a combination of "just the process itself, (and) technical and human error in this procedure."

As for the feared mixing of the viruses, called reassortment, an official of the World Health Organization's European operation believes the potential disaster was contained.

"We have no evidence of any reassortment, that any reassortment may have occurred," said medical officer Roberta Andraghetti. "And we have no evidence of any increased transmissibility of the viruses that were involved in the experiment with the ferrets in the Czech Republic."

The Canadian Press reports the 36 or 37 people exposed to the virus have received medical attention and do not appear to be infected.

Bona further told reporters that Baxter assisted in destroying the contaminated material and cleaning up the European laboratories where it was distributed. He says his company has determined where the error occurred and has taken steps to ensure it doesn't happen again.

"For this particular incident," said Dr. Angus Nicoll of the European Center for Disease Control, "the horse did not get out (of the barn)."

Dr. Nicoll, however, also pledged that the ECDC and WHO are taking the matter "seriously."

The Canadian Press reports investigations are ongoing in each of the four countries where the viruses were shipped, all under the watch of the ECDC and WHO.

The Press also reports that a number of biosecurity experts have expressed dissatisfaction with the explanation of simple error. As a biosafety level 3 facility (out of a maximum of four established safety levels, each requiring different safety precautions), the experts insist, the co-mingling of human H3N2 and avian H5N1 viruses should not be allowed to happen.

The H5N1 virus, Reuters reports, has infected over 400 people in 15 countries since 2003, killing 254 of them and leading to the culling of millions of birds around the world to contain it.

Baxter International makes flu vaccines – including a human H5N1 vaccine in process of being approved – at a facility in the Czech Republic.

After going to bed this evening I was compelled to get up and write the following, it’s for you to judge and to decide if it is from the Holy Spirit or not.

America, Europe and much of the world have had their wilderness experience and they have been tested three ways, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, and the pride of life. Unlike that of the blessed Messiah they have miserably failed all three tests and now is the time for repentance and there seems to be none coming forth therefore judgment is on the way. It will be harsh and without mercy. For those who have known prosperity and easy living but still complained that they wanted more while the majority suffered hunger and disease will now suffer hunger, fear and deep despair. For those who satisfied their flesh, greed and pride with gluttony and sexual exploits will find no peace in the misery that lies ahead. God has given many over to a reprobate mind and their suffering will be long and terrible. For those who God has given mercy they will have but a short time to accept that mercy and the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) is the only way out for them. They will not find in Him an end to their search to satisfy their hunger but an inward joy knowing that eternity and favor with God through the Messiah Yeshua (Jesus) awaits them.

For those who have been mislead by evil Pastors and Spiritual Leaders have but a very short time to search the Word of God themselves and know that their salvation is not in their denominations but in a personal relationship and the full knowledge of God’s Word. There will be many false Prophets to lead them even further astray from God’s truth while looking for the easy road but will only find more and deeper agony in their souls.

The final destruction in all that they thought was security will fade before their very eyes and despair and mental anguish will cause many to die of heart failure and many more will wish themselves dead but will find no escape for their sins have found them out. God is given some the opportunity to give their all to Him and put their hands to the plow and not look back, knowing that eternity with God awaits them, even they must make a choice who they worship and serve for the only peace to be found will be in the Prince of Peace and for those who love Him above all else will provoke others to find Him as Messiah.

This is a hard Gospel and one that most will reject, but the road that leads to heaven isn’t easy but filled with decisions and those decisions must be made by man not by God for He is looking for sons and daughters who love Him above all else.

The Iran-Israel nuclear endgame is now much closer

In recent days, four key developments have clicked in to edge Iran and Israel much closer to a military denouement with profound consequences for American oil that the nation is not prepared to meet.

What has happened?

First, Iran has proven it can successfully launch a satellite into outer space as it did on February 2. Teheran claimed, to the incredulity of Western governments, that the satellite was to monitor earthquakes and enhance communications. Few believe that, especially since America's own space program continuously launches unpublished military satellite missions. Teheran plans three more satellites this year, creating an easily weaponized space net that worries American military planners.

Second, the International Atomic Energy Agency last week admitted that it had underestimated Iran's nuclear stockpile by about one-third. The watchdog group now confirms Iran possesses 2,227 lbs. of nuclear material, sufficient to create at least one nuclear bomb. That stockpile includes 1,010 kilograms of low-enriched uranium hexafluoride, or approximately 700 kilograms containing the vital uranium 235 isotope, the stuff needed to weaponize.

Third, Iran has ramped up its enrichment program with thousands of new homegrown, highly advanced centrifuges. As The Cutting Edge News reported in April 2008, Iran wants 6,000 centrifuges to speed the enrichment of weapons-grade material. The number of working centrifuges now exceeds 5,400, including 164 new ones believed to be the faster and more efficient IR-2 and IR-3 models made in Iran. These new Iranian centrifuges are at least as sophisticated as its recently imported P-2 models.
American policymakers are now convinced that Iran, despite all protests and charades, is in a mad dash to create a deliverable nuclear weapon. The Obama administration has almost openly abandoned the assertions of the CIA's much-questioned 2008 National Intelligence Estimate that concluded Iran was not pursuing nuclear weaponry for the simple reason that its atomic program and military programs were housed in separate buildings.

Fourth, Binyamin Netanyahu has just become prime minister of Israel. He is determined to take action before - not after - Iran achieves its nuclear potential. This creates a volatile, hair-trigger situation that could explode at any moment. Hence, the endgame is now vastly closer than it was in mid-January, when many believed Israel might take action during the lame-duck interregnum.
Israeli countermeasures to date have included a massive international covert program of equipment sabotage, assassination of key nuclear personnel and a vibrant diplomatic offensive. But all these efforts combined amount to nothing more than delaying tactics, as Iran is irrevocably determined to achieve a nuclear weapon as fast as possible. Many believe such a weapon will be used to fulfill its prediction that Israel will soon be wiped off the map.

THE CONSEQUENCES for this confrontation are apocalyptic because Iran's full partner in this enterprise is Russia. The Russian company Atomstroiexport has provided most if not all of the nuclear material for the 1,000 megawatt Bushehr reactor, along with thousands of technicians to service and operate it.

Following its invasion of Georgia, Moscow forged ahead with final delivery plans for the S-300 advanced air defense system which can track scores of IAF airborne intruders simultaneously, whether low-level drones or high-altitude missiles, and shoot them down. But the S-300, the linchpin of Iran's defense against Israel, will not be fully operational for several months, creating a narrow window for Israel to act. Indeed, Russia has just announced a pause in missile deliveries for the system in fear that it will accelerate an Israeli response.

Iran, of course, has repeatedly threatened to counter any such attack by closing the Strait of Hormuz, as well as launching missiles against the Ras Tanura Gulf oil terminal and bombarding the indispensable Saudi oil facility at Abqaiq which is responsible for some 65 percent of Saudi production. Any one of these military options, let alone all three, would immediately shut off 40% of all seaborne oil, 18% of global oil, and some 20% of America's daily consumption.

America's oil vulnerability has been back-burnered due to the economic crisis and the plunge in gasoline prices. However, the price of gasoline will not mitigate an interruption of oil flow. The price of oil does not impact its ability to flow through blocked or destroyed facilities. Indeed, an interruption would not restore prices to those of last summer - which Russian and Saudi oil officials say is needed - but probably zoom the pump cost to $20 per gallon.

American oil vulnerability in recent months has escalated precisely because of oil's precipitous drop to $35 to $40 a barrel. At that price, America's number one supplier, Canada, which supplies some 2 million out of 20 million barrels of oil a day, cannot afford to produce. Canadian oil sand petroleum is not viable below $70 a barrel. Much of Canada's supply has already been cancelled or indefinitely postponed. America's strategic petroleum reserve can only keep that country moving for approximately 57 days.

THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION, like the Bush administration before it, has developed no plan or contingency legislation for an oil interruption, such as a surge in retrofitting America's 250 million gas guzzling cars and trucks - each with a 10-year life - or a stimulus of the alternate fuel production needed to rapidly get off oil. Ironically, Iran has undertaken such a crash program converting some 20% of its gasoline fleet yearly to compressed natural gas (CNG) as a countermeasure to Western nuclear sanctions against the Teheran regime that could completely block the flow of gasoline to Iran. Iran has no refining capability.

The question of when and how this endgame will play out is not known by anyone. Israeli leaders wish to avoid military preemption at all costs if possible. But many feel the military moment must come; and when that moment does come, it will be swift, highly technologic and in the twinkling of an eye. But as one informed official quipped, "Those who know, don't talk. Those who talk, don't know."

Israel pick your own poison

Not knowing Ted Belman, gives me reservation on forwarding this report simply because more often than not after forwarding something like this I get emails saying this person has said or done I should have known about. But one thing I can tell you that this article expresses my thoughts as well and I could not improve on what he has said here. This is not to say that the scenario expressed here has to be perfect.
To say to you that Israel and the whole world is in deep trouble would be preaching to the choir for applauds. There are two things that the Islamic Arabs need to do in order to move their agenda forward, they must neutralize or destroy the US and destroy Israel. I believe they will try to do both at the same time. It is also obvious to me that the planned destruction of the USA is not only underway but well on its way. It is also obvious that most of Europe is being brought under Islamic submission as anti-Semitism is spreading like wild fire.
I could add or say many things in addition to what Mr. Belman has written below but I think he has covered the bases very well. I recommend that you read every word, and give some thought about the terrible burden the rest of the world is putting on the little nation of Israel to do their dirty work. One thing is certain we don’t have long to wait now. Right now would be a great time for you to get your priorities in order.

Israel must decide whether to attack Iran or not and whether to accept the Saudi Plan or not. In both cases Israel has to pick her poison.

The Iranian threat

Israel has already decided to attack Iran with the intention of setting back the nuclear program by a few years. Likud, Kadima and Labour seem to be in agreement.

Such an attack will be very difficult, giving the distance to Iran and the lack of any agreement to traverse anyone’s airspace. Israel originally hoped to get American approval to fly through Iraq’s air space. But now that the US has signed an Agreement with Iraq giving them control of the airspace, this is not an option. But all is not lost. Should Israel violate Iraq’s airspace, Iraq has no means to prevent such incursion. They have no airforce and no missile system to oppose it. I am not aware of any term of the agreement which would obligate the US to act on their behalf.

Israel will have to decide whether to include any nuclear bombs to ensure greater destruction and whether to attack the Revolutionary Guards, the parliament and the home of the Mullahs. They way I see it, in for a penny, in for a pound. In either case the Iranian response will be the same. It would be great if Israel could capture an airport to enable Israel to land troops to be used to finish off certain facilities. I do not know if this is militarily possible. but if it is, Israel is no doubt considering it.

No doubt Israel would also bomb Kharg Island which is Iran’s largest oil loading terminal accounting for most of its oil exports and revenue.

The response will sure result in many Jewish, Israeli and American targets being attacked all over the world. Edwin Black in his article “The Iran-Israel nuclear endgame is now much closer.” writes

“THE CONSEQUENCES for this confrontation are apocalyptic because Iran’s full partner in this enterprise is Russia. The Russian company Atomstroiexport has provided most if not all of the nuclear material for the 1,000 megawatt Bushehr reactor, along with thousands of technicians to service and operate it.

Following its invasion of Georgia, Moscow forged ahead with final delivery plans for the S-300 advanced air defense system which can track scores of IAF airborne intruders simultaneously, whether low-level drones or high-altitude missiles, and shoot them down. But the S-300, the linchpin of Iran’s defense against Israel, will not be fully operational for several months, creating a narrow window for Israel to act. Indeed, Russia has just announced a pause in missile deliveries for the system in fear that it will accelerate an Israeli response.

Iran, of course, has repeatedly threatened to counter any such attack by closing the Strait of Hormuz, as well as launching missiles against the Ras Tanura Gulf oil terminal and bombarding the indispensable Saudi oil facility at Abqaiq which is responsible for some 65 percent of Saudi production. Any one of these military options, let alone all three, would immediately shut off 40% of all seaborne oil, 18% of global oil, and some 20% of America’s daily consumption.”

Once the attack begins, Israel will be inundated with rockets from Lebanon, Gaza and probably Syria. It will thus use the planes not active in the Iranian attack to devastate these locations. A substantial mobilization is not out of the question as land forces will probably be ordered into Gaza and Lebanon.

World opinion and pressure will be ignored.

Israel will be considered the aggressor and most of the world community will not accept that Israel was acting in self-defense. The hatred of Israel and Jews will know no bounds except that privately many will be pleased.

Such a war will deplete Israel’s munitions and it will be in need of resupply. Will America stand by and refuse to resupply Israel as she has done in the past, notably in the Yom Kippur War. At that time Kissinger withheld supplies in order to make Israel more compliant in the peace process to follow. The same thinking would apply here. To make matters worse, Egypt, with American connivance, might mass troops on its borders if not actually invade.

On the other hand, if Israel declines to preempt and waits to be attacked first as she did in the Yom Kipper War, she will be at a decided disadvantage except in the PR war. If the attack on Israel takes the form of a dirty nuclear bomb or the use of chemical or biology weapons, Israel will suffer enormous losses thereby diminishing her ability to respond to the provocation.

To my mind, Israel must decide how likely such an attack is and act accordingly. It may be that Iran prefers to bleed Israel by a thousand cuts, or should I say rockets, rather than invite massive retaliation. Israel chose to endure eight years of sporadic rocket attacks from Gaza as the lesser evil to invading Gaza. Israel could likewise decide if future rocket attacks are endurable..

Either way, its poison.

The “peace process”

Here too, Israel must decide to accept the Saudi Plan or reject it

Kadima and Labour favour the former, though the last government tried to get the PA to accept a return of 93% of the land and forgo the right of return but there was no takers. Thus only the Saudi Plan with a return to the armistice lines and a “just solution to the refugee problem” will suffice to get a deal. This would involve the removal of over 100,000 Jews from Judea and Samaria.

The Saudi Plan also requires Israel to return the Golan to Syria.

Only after all this transpires will the Arab world discuss what they meant by their offer of “normalization”.

Also Iran remains an obstacle to such a deal. Its proxy, Hamas will never agree to a permanent peace with Israel or to recognized borders for Israel. The Quartet is now working to bring Hamas into the PA ostensibly as a junior partner. In reality Hamas will dominate.

The only thing Israel will get from such capitulation is borders which are recognized by the world even if not by Hamas and Iran. Such recognition though isn’t necessarily dependable. The world recognized the borders of Palestine, as it then was, in the Palestine Mandate. Such recognition was soon abandoned. The world also accepted the requirement for “secure” borders in Resolution 242 otherwise known as “defensible borders” but who but Netanyahu talks about that now.

But we are not done yet. Israel will be demanding that Palestine be demilitarized. Fat chance. She is currently demanding that Hamas not be allowed to rearm. Hamas has made it clear that it will never give up its right to do so. So it is safe to say that Israel will not be able to keep the West Bank demilitarized. Even if the PA would agree to it, the PA has never kept an agreement to date. So much for the value of a signed piece of paper.

The agreement will provide for a corridor connecting the West Bank with Gaza. Aside from the security risk this represents, it would allow for Gazans to move from Gaza to the West Bank thereby transferring the Gaza radicalism and population density to the West Bank. In addition, perhaps a million refugees from refugee camps in the surrounding countries will return to the new State of Palestine. How can the West Bank with its limited land and water resources sustain such a population? How can such a state be viable. This instability will be used as a tool to further destroy Israel.

Israel will also want the PA to agree that Palestine will not enter into defense treaties with other Arab countries. This they will not agree to.

After all is said and done, what is to stop rockets from raining down on Israel from the West Bank. Nothing.

Who is to say that the Arabs will ever make peace with Israel? The Muslims are taking over Europe through intimidation made easier due to liberalism. The Seeds of Liberalism is one of the many articles attesting to this. In fifty years there will be nothing left of the Europe that we once knew. So why should the Arabs accept any less a fate for Israel.

It is for these reasons that Netanyahu is putting his hopes on economic development as a means to stabilize the West Bank. He is thinking of giving the Palestinians limited sovereignty, otherwise known as autonomy, rather than full sovereignty. But the Palestinians have rejected economic development time and time again. They prefer to eradicate the “occupation” which includes Israel. They will be aided and abetted in this project by Israel’s Arab fifth column.

The Obama administration has accepted the idea of economic development but not as a substitute for diplomatic progress. It is careful to always say it wants a secure Israel to result. But few believe that capitulation by Israel will make it more secure.

Israel could also decide to follow the National Union’s plan to annex Judea and Samaria together with its 1.4 million Arabs. In the expanded Israel, Jews would outnumber Arabs by a ratio of 2:1 Citizenship would be available to these Arabs, over an extended period, say 15 years, giving time for detoxification, subject to certain prerequisites. These include loyalty oaths, knowledge of Hebrew, national service and so on. Of course all terrorists and their huggers would have to be expelled.

Prior to the annexation, Israel would pass a constitution declaring Israel to be a Jewish state. Such constitution would perhaps provide for two houses of government and would require super majorities to pass any changes to fundamental things.

The local governments would be given as much responsibility or autonomy as they can responsibly handle. There would be zero tolerance for incitement. Everyone would be equal before the law. In fact this was what was envisioned by the League of Nations in the Palestinian Mandate passed in 1922 which gave the Palestinians civil and religious right but not political rights.

Very few refugees would be permitted to return to the expanded Israel. Gazans would be left high and dry to fend for themselves.

It would be best if Israel could get American approval to such a plan but that is unlikely. So Israel would have to go it alone. Just as she annexed Jerusalem without international approval, she could annex Judea and Samaria. This is simply done by extending Israeli law to these territories in replacement of occupation law. The word “annexation” need not come up. The “occupation” would then come to an end.

Oslo and the peace process have given the Palestinians hope of destroying Israel and this hope has fuelled the resistance. Kill the hope, you kill the resistance. As Palestinian nationalism dies, the fifth column in Israel will also evaporate. Then Israel can focus on creating a just society.

If Israel chooses this path she will have to contend with an irate world and probably sanctions. But in time things will settle down. As more and more Arabs earn citizenship, the opposition to the annexation will diminish.

As much as Israelis would love to include Judea and Samaria within their borders, they are very reluctant to include another 1.4 million Arabs within her borders. Given their experience with Arabs consisting of 20% of the current population and the experience of European countries in contending with as little as 10% Muslim minority, they are very reluctant to contend with a 33% Arab minority. There is much opposition to doing so. In fact Yisrael Beiteinu wants to give land away together with its Arab inhabitants in order to reduce the 20% minority of Arabs. Israel must chose between more land and a higher minority percentage or less land and a lower percentage. In the former case there would be no need to negotiate borders or divide Jerusalem. In the latter case Israel would be enabling a hostile Arab state to be created looming over the Israeli coastline.

Either way, Israel, pick your poison.

When it is all said and done Israel will still be standing, the Messiah will plant His feet on the Mont of Olives, Gog and Magog will be destroyed and the Messiah will reign forever. There is something else the doubters can be sure of, God’s Word promises to bring back His people to this land and there is a second re-gathering about to take place

Isa. 11:11 [11] And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

In the days to come the only way to assist these Jews trying to get home to Israel will be by boats, when God first showed this to me, I was called crazy or much worse but today the eyes of many are opened to this reality. We are in desperate need of a larger boat and finances, pray about what God would have you do with what you now have.

The truth about what's hapening in Israel that no one else wants to write.

To begin with you already know that Netanyahu has been appointed by the President to form the next Government, the Likud lost the election by one seat but the winning party Kadima couldn’t find the needed 61 MK’s to form the Government. None of this pleases the Obama Administration they openly wanted Kadima to be in charge. In fact Obama has sent George Mitchell here this week and his first stop was to talk with Livni in hopes of somehow stopping Likud and the Right Wing here in Israel.

As it looks right now Netanyahu can form a Government with 65 MK’s by bringing into the Government several of the smaller right wing parties. What this also means is Netanyahu will be constantly under pressure to conform to the wishes to these small parties in not giving away any of the land of Israel.

In the meantime the US is still putting tremendous pressure on Israel to accept Hamas in a back handed way by encouraging the PA to make a coalition with Hamas and together form a Government. Many things are quickly changing in the relationship between the US and Israel. One is the US has given Gaza 600 million but say it will not go towards Hamas, of course it is Hamas who is in total control of Gaza so how could the US give Gaza that much money without supporting Hamas.

Hamas has shot and killed, even beheaded many PA members since the end of Operation Cast Lead in Gaza. They have gathered up hundreds of PA supporters and shot them in mostly in the knee caps to be sure they will be crippled. I know this sounds so insane to the average world citizen outside the Islamic controlled world, but after seeing many collation soldiers beheaded in Iraq and dragged through the streets being spit on I find it hard to understand what it will take to wake up the average American and European. But I am getting some reports from around the world that the awakening has begun.

We keep hearing about the possibility of an attack on Iran, but now with the Russian support have activated one of there Nuclear Reactor which means that if it is attacked the ball game changes for the people of Iran with the massive spread of radiation.

The world keeps looking for Israel to handle the Iranian problem, and then as usual sit ready to blame Israel for doing it just like they did in 82 when we bombed the Iraqi nuclear plant. But Israel like the rest of the world has its own problems and they are major problems. We too are in a major recession and our unemployment rate for the past few months are all record breakers. The demand for workers has fallen 21.1% making the Israeli population becoming dangerously close to a depression. It is now written in most papers that one in every four kids in Israel are living below the poverty level and not receiving a decent diet.

Crime in this country is completely out of control, with most cities being over ran with criminal gangs many of them from Russia. Many of the small towns and villages are completely controlled by these crime families. This should be a warning to the US as to what happens when the Liberals take control of a Government and when you have a Prime Minister like Sharon who changes colors after gaining the confidence of the people and then followed by Olmert who will go down as Israelis worst Prime Minister.

There is however a dim light coming through the end of the tunnel with Likud back in power. What makes this new Government seem most hopeful is like mentioned before, the smaller right wing parties will have more control of what Netanyahu can and cannot do for they pull out of such a narrow coalition it will fall and we will go right back into elections.

What is happening in the US is very important to all the rest of the world and mostly Israel, the one thing we are seeing from the very beginning is a lean towards the Palestinians, and with this new right wing government it will not go over well and a clash between Israel and the US is on the horizon.

As important as all the above is to this messenger nothing is more important than keeping our eyes on God and His calling. For things change in politics and wars come and go, what seems so obvious today may seem foolish tomorrow. The only sure thing is eternity and where you will spend it and at the present that is your call and your choice, but wait one moment to long and you will lose that choice. If you haven’t given you life body, soul and spirit to Yeshua as you personal Messiah now would be the right time to do that. If you have then pray and listen for that small still voice and be obedient. Begin living and acting like you believe in Yeshua begin to fill your mind with the things of God.

This Ministry has what I believe to be the most important calling I know of, how successful we are will depend on the acts and the obedience of those God has touched to bless the Apple of His Eye.

The Groundwork Has Already Been Laid for Martial Law

During his two terms in office, George W. Bush stepped outside the boundaries of the Constitution and assembled an amazing toolbox of powers that greatly increased the authority of the Executive branch and the reach of the federal government.

Bush expanded presidential power to, among other things, allow government agents to secretly open the private mail of American citizens; authorize government agents to secretly, and illegally, listen in on the phone calls of American citizens and read our e-mails; assume control of the federal government following a "catastrophic event"; and declare martial law.

Thus, the groundwork was laid for an imperial presidency and a potentially totalitarian government--a state of affairs that has not ended with Barack Obama's ascension to the Oval Office, despite hopes to the contrary that President Obama would fully restore the balance between government and its citizens to a pre-Bush status quo. As Charlie Savage reports in the New York Times, "Signs suggest that the administration's changes may turn out to be less sweeping than many had hoped or feared--prompting growing worry among civil liberties groups and a sense of vindication among supporters of Bush-era policies."

The fact is that the problem is bigger than Obama or any individual who occupies the White House. Indeed, once the government assumes expansive powers and crosses certain constitutional lines, it's almost impossible to pull back.

Just consider some of the lines that have already been crossed.

The local police have, in many regards, already evolved into de facto extensions of the military. Dressed like Darth Vader look-alikes, the police have opted for the SWAT-team dress formally adopted by the federal agencies. Congressional legislation allows the U.S. military, by way of the Pentagon, to train civilian police. The Pentagon has also provided local police with military equipment such as M-16 rifles, bayonets, boats, vehicles, surveillance equipment, chemical suits and flak jackets, among other items. Thus, they are armed to the teeth.

We already have a federal police force comprised of Secret Service agents who are authorized to "carry firearms; make arrests without a warrant for any offense against the United States committed in their presence." A recent incident demonstrates the increased and immediate involvement of federal agents in local matters with the assistance of local police. Chip Harrison, a construction worker in Oklahoma, was pulled over by local police because of an anti-Obama sign proclaiming "Abort Obama, not the unborn" in his pickup truck window. The sign was confiscated by local police, and Harrison was informed that the sign could be considered a threat to the president. The local police contacted the Secret Service, who, within a matter of hours, came to Harrison's home and investigated the matter. So much for the freedom of expression.

According to the Army Times, we now have at least 20,000 U.S. military troops deployed within our borders to "help with civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack." I am not alone in believing that we are just one incident--be it a terrorist attack, a major financial blowout or a widespread natural disaster--away from martial law being declared in this country. And once that happens, the Constitution and Bill of Rights will be suspended and what government officials believe and do, no matter how arbitrary, will become law.

Our methods of communication are already being monitored--and, in some instances, shut down, abetted by the telecommunications giants, which act as extensions of the government. Thus, not only does the government have the ability to open and read our mail, it can also listen in on our phone calls and jam our cell phone calls. As the Washington Post reports, federal authorities already have the ability to jam cell phones and other wireless devices. Unbeknownst to the nearly two million people who attended the Obama Inauguration festivities, federal authorities jammed cell phone signals at specific locations. Such disruptions simply appear to be a dropped call or lost signal. Of course, such jamming could be conducted on a more extensive basis nationwide. This would prevent citizens from being able to communicate with one another or make appeals to their government representatives. Although jamming is technically illegal for state and local agencies, Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) plans to introduce legislation to allow local police to "selectively" jam cell phones.

We already live in a surveillance state. There was a time when people could flee when the government got out of control. Now, with our every movement monitored by cameras on sidewalks, streets, ATMs, and in shops, offices, schools and parks, there truly is nowhere to hide. Moreover, equipped with high-powered satellites and massive databases, the government can track us using our cell phones, cars, credit cards, driver's licenses and passports.

For those who have been paying attention, such as former war correspondent Chris Hedges in his Truthdig article, "Bad News From America's Top Spy," it's clear that the groundwork for a seamless transition into martial law under a totalitarian state of government has been laid. And local law enforcement, which has already been serving as a de facto military force, will be the key to maintaining martial law under a police state. Given the interconnectedness of our federal, state and local agencies, you can be sure that all of this will happen quickly.

All that is needed is another threat to national security--a so-called "catastrophic event." Under the Bush administration, the danger was terrorism. Under the Obama administration, the economy is being posed as the greatest threat to national security.

This danger was made clear in a U.S. Army War College report issued last fall. As Hedges reports, "The military must be prepared, the document warned, for a 'violent, strategic dislocation inside the United States,' which could be provoked by 'unforeseen economic collapse,' 'purposeful domestic resistance,' 'pervasive public health emergencies' or 'loss of functioning political and legal order.' The 'widespread civil violence,' the document said, 'would force the defense establishment to reorient priorities in extremis to defend basic domestic order and human security.'"

What does all this mean for you and me, the average citizen? When and if martial law is declared, freedom, as we have known it, will be obsolete. And don't expect much in the way of warning or help from the corporate media. As the war in Iraq showed, they are all too willing to be co-opted by the military for the sake of access and ratings. And there will be many Americans who won't know what's happening. They'll be too busy watching the latest entertainment spectacle and trying to guess the next American Idol.

Thankfully, we have not yet reached the point of no hope. But it must be acknowledged that the average American simply does not have the ability to withstand a totalitarian government.

Right now, all we can do is sound the alarm. Become educated. Form local citizens groups in your community. Educate your neighbors on their rights and inform them about the grave possibilities we face in the event of a government-declared emergency. Keep in almost near-constant contact with your representatives in Congress and voice your discontent. Most of all, stay informed and exercise your right to redress your grievances with the government while you still can.

As abolitionist Wendell Phillips once proclaimed:

Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty--power is ever stealing from the many to the few.... The hand entrusted with power becomes ... the necessary enemy of the people. Only by continual oversight can the democrat in office be prevented from hardening into a despot.

While the Obama-led Democrats control the future of the United States of America, the grassroots on the Internet (The Obama Forum) are in the process of turning in “enemies of Obama”, including the parents of children who are Obama supporters.

Obama supporting children have actually posted their parents’ names and addresses on the Obama Forum. (here).

In all of its searches, Canada Free Press (CFP) has found no comment from any official in the Obama administration repudiating the Forum.

The Obamaforum.com instructs people to “Report Anti-Obama Sentiment By Your Coworkers and Peers (here) and more.

All mainstreet Americans can do is hope that the secret service who visited the Oklahoma city motorist, tooling around town with the “abort Obama sign” on his car, does not log onto the Forum.

“The following is not for those who are frightened easily or for those with a weak stomach,” a CFP tipster wrote.

Remember to jot down as much information as possible about them. Height, weight, hair color, eye color, etc. Try to sneak a photograph of them with your cell phone, but be careful and don’t let them see you. License plate numbers, social security information, FEMA records, criminal background checks. Post it all here. “Remember, in the great words of President Obama: “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country!”

To suggest that it was President John F. Kennedy who inspired Americans with these words, could get you branded as a racist.

Other sentiments of Internet Obama supporters: “All gunowners should die”.

“Websites (that) don’t comply on their own, we will take them down by force,” is their promise.

“To keep hope alive, in spite of all mistakes, horrors, and crimes, recognize the obvious superiority of socialism”, their avowed mantra.

“For struggle, Solidarity and Socialism! I swear that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Obama. Our laws and his will, according to him. We will not overthrow the government with violence. We shall stand, remain and be the law of his realm forever. It is then that all peoples of the world will plead for Obama to deliver them from evil.”

Meanwhile, it’s going to be a long, intolerant and even excruciating four years.

A member of the U.S. military whose suspicions about Barack Obama's eligibility to be president prompted him to sign onto a legal demand being sent to Attorney General Eric Holder has been silenced.

Attorney Orly Taitz, the California activist who through her DefendOurFreedoms.us foundation is assembling the case, told WND today she's been informed one of the members of the military has been ordered by commanding officers not to speak with media.

The officer's identity was withheld to prevent further actions against him.

However, Taitz confirmed to WND there would be no lack of plaintiffs in her action, which challenges Obama to prove by what authority he operates as commander in chief.

Another active-duty soldier, who identified himself as Staff Sgt. Alan Craig James, volunteered to be identified publicly as a plaintiff in the case, Taitz said.

She said she already has a list of 101 volunteers in her case demanding Obama's proof of eligibility.

WND has reported on dozens of legal challenges to Obama's status as a "natural born citizen." The Constitution, Article 2, Section 1, states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President."

Some of the lawsuits question whether he was actually born in Hawaii, as he insists. If he was born out of the country, Obama's American mother, the suits contend, was too young at the time of his birth to confer American citizenship to her son under the law at the time.

Other challenges have focused on Obama's citizenship through his father, a Kenyan subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of his birth, thus making him a dual citizen. The cases contend the framers of the Constitution excluded dual citizens from qualifying as natural born.

As WND reported this week, Taitz has assembled officers from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines to seek Obama's documentation.

The plaintiffs are citing the legal standard of Quo Warranto, which also was cited in a case brought by New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others.

The idea, first recorded some 800 years ago, essentially is a demand to know what authority Obama is using to act as president. An online constitutional resource says Quo Warranto "affords the only judicial remedy for violations of the Constitution by public officials and agents."

Among those requesting the action are Maj. Gen. Carroll Childers; Lt. Col. Dr. David Earl-Graef; police officer Clinton Grimes, formerly of the U.S. Navy; Lt. Scott Easterling, now serving on active duty in Iraq; New Hampshire state Rep. Timothy Comerford; and Tennessee state Rep. Frank Nicely.

"As president-elect, Respondent Obama failed to submit prima facie evidence of his qualifications before January 20, 2009. Election officers failed to challenge, validate or evaluate his qualifications. Relators submit that as president elect, Respondent Obama failed [to] qualify per U.S. CONST. Amend. XX [paragraph] 3," the document said.

John Eidsmoe, an expert on the U.S. Constitution now working with the Foundation on Moral Law, an organization founded by former Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, said the demand is a legitimate course of action.

"She basically is asking, 'By what authority' is Obama president," he told WND. "In other words, 'I want you to tell me by what authority. I don't really think you should hold the office.'"

The letter has been dispatched to Holder, asking him to appoint a special prosecutor for the case.

Eidsmoe said it's clear that Obama has something in the documentation of his history, including his birth certificate, college records and other documents that "he does not want the public to know."

Obama's critics warn of a constitutional crisis should it be discovered Obama is ineligible and the resulting chaos of trying to figure out what, if any, of his executive branch orders should be valid.

According to the online Constitution.org resource: "The common law writ of Quo Warranto has been suppressed at the federal level in the United States, and deprecated at the state level, but remains a right under the Ninth Amendment which was understood and presumed by the Founders, and which affords the only judicial remedy for violations of the Constitution by public officials and agents."

Taitz told WND the "relators" in the Quo Warranto case include members of the Army, Air Force, Marines and Army and feature recipients of some of the highest honors the nation awards, including the Purple Heart.

According to author Chester Antieau in his "The Practice of Extraordinary Remedies," Quo Warranto is one of the oldest rights in common law.

"The earliest case on record appears in the 9th year of Richard I, 1198," he wrote. "The statute of 9 Anne c. 20 in 1710 authorized a proper officer of a court, with leave of the court, to exhibit an information in the nature of Quo Warranto, at the 'relation' of any person desiring to prosecute the same – to be called the relator. Early American statutes were modeled after the Statute of Anne and, indeed, the statute has often been ruled to be part of the common law we inherited from England."

Antieau noted the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has ruled, "Quo Warranto is addressed to preventing a continued exercise of authority unlawfully asserted, rather than to correct what has already been done. ..."

Its first recognized purpose, he said, is "to determine the title of persons claiming possession of public offices and to oust them if they are found to be usurpers."

Although Obama officials have told WND all such allegations are "garbage," here is a partial listing and status update for some of the cases over Obama's eligibility:

New Jersey attorney Mario Apuzzo has filed a case on behalf of Charles Kerchner and others alleging Congress didn't properly ascertain that Obama is qualified to hold the office of president.

Pennsylvania Democrat Philip Berg has three cases pending, including Berg vs. Obama in the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, a separate Berg vs. Obama which is under seal at the U.S. District Court level and Hollister vs. Soetoro a/k/a Obama, brought on behalf of a retired military member who could be facing recall to active duty by Obama.

Leo Donofrio of New Jersey filed a lawsuit claiming Obama's dual citizenship disqualified him from serving as president. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court but denied a full hearing.

Cort Wrotnowski filed suit against Connecticut's secretary of state, making a similar argument to Donofrio. His case was considered in conference by the U.S. Supreme Court, but was denied a full hearing.

Former presidential candidate Alan Keyes headlines a list of people filing a suit in California, in a case handled by the United States Justice Foundation, that asks the secretary of state to refuse to allow the state's 55 Electoral College votes to be cast in the 2008 presidential election until Obama verifies his eligibility to hold the office. The case is pending, and lawyers are seeking the public's support.

Chicago attorney Andy Martin sought legal action requiring Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle to release Obama's vital statistics record. The case was dismissed by Hawaii Circuit Court Judge Bert Ayabe.

Lt. Col. Donald Sullivan sought a temporary restraining order to stop the Electoral College vote in North Carolina until Barack Obama's eligibility could be confirmed, alleging doubt about Obama's citizenship. His case was denied.

In Ohio, David M. Neal sued to force the secretary of state to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii. The case was denied.

Also in Ohio, there was the Greenberg v. Brunner case which ended when the judge threatened to assess all case costs against the plaintiff.

In Washington state, Steven Marquis sued the secretary of state seeking a determination on Obama's citizenship. The case was denied.

In Georgia, Rev. Tom Terry asked the state Supreme Court to authenticate Obama's birth certificate. His request for an injunction against Georgia's secretary of state was denied by Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter.

California attorney Orly Taitz has brought a case, Lightfoot vs. Bowen, on behalf of Gail Lightfoot, the vice presidential candidate on the ballot with Ron Paul, four electors and two registered voters.
In addition, other cases cited on the RightSideofLife blog as raising questions about Obama's eligibility include:

In Texas, Darrel Hunter vs. Obama later was dismissed.

In Ohio, Gordon Stamper vs. U.S. later was dismissed.

In Texas, Brockhausen vs. Andrade.

In Washington, L. Charles Cohen vs. Obama.

In Hawaii, Keyes vs. Lingle, dismissed.
Corsi had gone to both Kenya and Hawaii prior to the election to investigate issues surrounding Obama's birth. But his research and discoveries only raised more questions, the biggest being why, if there exists documentation of Obama's eligibility, hasn't it been released to quell the rumors.

Instead, a series of law firms have been hired on Obama's behalf around the nation to prevent any public access to his birth certificate, passport records, college records and other documents.

YES WE CAN 'MEANS' NO YOU CAN’T

The WORld Management System (WORMS) is good at creating slogans that encourage people to act without thinking. It is a “talent” that has been cultivated for decades, Professor Ross L. Finney’s book, A Sociological Philosophy of Education, published in 1929 explained to students and fellow sociologists that they needed short slogans in order to force-feed their new philosophy of life. He wrote:

Granted that the old sayings now current express as a rule an antiquated philosophy of life, that only means that we need a new set of sayings. It is only by the use of such shorthand symbols that the minds of socii can operate together; and if our old symbols no longer epitomize the philosophy by which we are living, then we need new proverbs, slogans, couplets, catechisms, epigrams, and witticisms that will express that new philosophy of life by which we are to operate the new society.

As rapidly as possible we must reduce our new philosophy of epigrams, and drill them memoriter into the memories of dullards. Of course the new coinage waits upon the smelting of the new intellectual bullion; but the bullion must be minted as fast as it is produced. “YES WE CAN” is one of the popular new System slogans. What does it really mean? First, we must realize that “WE” refers to the WORMS (WORld ManagerS) and their supporters. When the WORMS say “Yes WE can. It is a power boast:

“YES WE CAN cause economic problems and use them to our advantage. YES WE CAN dictate experimenting with, and financing new, expensive, and unproven forms of energy. YES WE CAN manage the entire health care system, along with doctors, nurses, and hospitals. YES WE CAN take control of education and force conformity to the United Nations world government agenda.”

“Yes WE can,” does not include the rest of us. The states, the counties, the cities, towns, and the people are not included in the world management concept of “WE.”

The System’s motto for the rest of us is, “NO YOU CAN’T” When Barack Obama says “Yes WE can,” he is talking to the WORMS. To us he is saying: “YES WE CAN, but NO YOU CAN’T” He is saying: “We control the debt money, WE will spend it as WE please. WE control education. WE will do it our way. You have no say. WE control Congress, and WE will control your health care. WE have the power. Yes, WE do. Yes, WE CAN.”
Listen to what Obama and the social science WORld ManagerS are really saying. Understand that their “WE” does not include you or me. To them, we are the dullards who will not be allowed to make personal decisions for ourselves or for our children. Please explain this to your friends and family, and to every elected official you know who still has eyes to see, ears to hear, and a mind that is not so dull, it cannot understand.

The Illness

America has virulent cancer.

She suffers a malignant malevolent tumor, a heartless soulless abomination to her humanity; the cancer of globalism. This flawed ideology, communistic in nature, is hell bent on invading and destroying the heart, mind and soul of our beloved nation. Where freedom and hope, ingenuity and motivation now stand hobbled by corrupting influences, globalists, like ravenous locusts, conspire to leave behind desolation and devastation.

To the globally focused elite, our citizens, the unwashed masses, mere peasants, are nothing more than cattle to be bought, manipulated to toil, spend, and fund. To the Gods of Globalism, nations are a marketplace and people are the slaves; with the predictable outcome, tyranny.

There is no human dignity in being a people without a nation, freedom, or self determination. Humans cannot thrive without an identity or community. We cannot flourish without the hope of something greater for our progeny then for ourselves.

There are no human rights in being used as a unit of labor, worked into senility, plundered, ravaged and cast aside for the next replacement, one with less demands and fewer complications. The elites are the framers and benefactors of globalism. The citizens subjected to this ideology; the victims.

Americans are currently living under the illusion of ‘representation,’ by such globalists. Let me be very clear, globalists are not Americans. To embrace a loss of sovereignty, an end to nation states, and the beloved work of our Founding Fathers, is disloyal and treasonous.

You cannot be an American and live the American idea if you are espousing globalist rhetoric; these two ideologies are in direct conflict one with another.

Americans still pining for change can expect no redress from the current batch of politicians. They appear both incapable of and unwilling to think America first. How can they be expected to represent Americans justly and constitutionally when their every consideration, idea, and action is global-results oriented? They have sworn a new allegiance and answer to another power.

It would seem the globalists are willing to sacrifice a few Americans (collateral damage) for this new global realignment. After all, what are a few homeless American children and senior citizens in the grand scheme of things? The Gods of Globalism have higher ideas, you see.

Americans and their silly Constitution, which they cling to and recite religiously, are outdated and hopelessly unsophisticated to the elite who have it all figured out. It is a shame that they will be left behind in the new global order. There are always victims of change and change is always progress and progress is always good, right? Unless we all begin to understand that this is the mindset of the global elite, we will never understand how to survive them.

Like cockroaches, globalists have infiltrated every aspect of the American experience from government to education, entertainment, media, social programs, health care and finance. They have come into our collective psyche with outstretched hands, promising change and social responsibility and bringing nothing more than third world slavery, inferior products, poverty, homelessness, racial tensions, divisiveness and distrust. This strategy is being played out across the globe and the resultant chaos is clear.

Playing their hands quietly, patiently, and meticulously, the Gods of Globalism plot each step and wait for the uproar of an outraged people. When it does not come, they advance, incrementally, unobtrusively, so as not to be threatening; allowing the innocent time to become accustomed to them and to adjust their thinking and tolerance levels.

The global elites do not wish to co-exist with us; they want to dominate and control every aspect of our lives and our humanity. Little by little, while we were working, raising children, living our American dream, and paying taxes, they were laying the ground work against our sovereignty.

As of this past election cycle, it would appear, nothing has changed. One only has to witness the awestruck faces at any Obama gathering to understand that Americans are beguiled by ideas taught since grade school, ideas that destroy liberty, personal responsibility and accountability. Ideas taught that different is always better, change can never be negative, shame and guilt should replace pride and achievement, and protectionism is a negative, in a world without boundaries, cultures, traditions or religions.

The Symptoms

Americans were open hearted and generous and welcomed immigrants who wished for the American dream. Over time, the quality and purpose of immigrants changed. When our instincts warned us of danger, most ignored them and chided themselves or others for being selfish and intolerant.

When jobs became tight, resources limited, cities overcrowded, and services depleted, our ‘representatives’ continued to dilute our citizenry with illegal aliens having no regard for our nation, history or people.

Change was subtle and caught our citizens unaware. Rather then add to the fabric of our brilliant American tapestry, new hoards of illegals and ‘Visa overstays’ overtook our nation and our cultural identity, changing forever the complexity of our nation. Borders, not respected, were breached and are now in danger of becoming erased. Those who tried to warn America for decades were ridiculed and labeled racists, nationalists and protectionists.

As Americans now cry out for relief, our ‘representatives’ remain deaf to our pleadings. They no longer recognize us as the rightful owners of this nation. The American citizen, replaced and marginalized, is voiceless, endangered and unrepresented.

Our children, undereducated in the basics, have had their minds and survival instincts turned to mush by socialist ideologies. While other nations teach math and science, our children are taught diversity and tolerance in a utopian inspired world.

They have not been taught history, so when the wolf knocked at the door, they did not know enough to barricade it. We have left them defenseless and naïve in a dangerous world that would destroy them. Meanwhile, our babies sucked on toys laced with brain deadening lead. Our pets were killed by toxic pet foods, and our seniors died from contaminated peanut butter.

The plan for global governance has now become obvious and arrogant. Criminals are rewarded while innocents pay the price. Social engineers applaud greed and mock simplicity and tradition. Children, beset with cynicism from an onslaught of corruption and moral equivalency, question everything but believe in nothing. Our children are awash in drugs, crime, the cynical materialism of globalism, and are almost lost to us.

What do we tell our children now? Do we tell them that we are sorry we were asleep while our nation was being disassembled? Do we deny seeing our borders breached, the marches in our streets, communist flags waving above upended American flags, in the hands of hateful rhetoric spewing illegal aliens?

How will we explain to our children that we have indebted them to the Communist Chinese and Saudi Arabians and that their new masters detest our Constitution and our way of life?

How will we explain that we didn’t bother to learn that the Federal Reserve is not a government entity, but a globalist banking institution, robbing them of their national treasure without accountability?

Will our children ever know national pride and the blessings of liberty? Will they embrace the satisfaction of belonging to a people, culture, tradition and idea? Will they have the stability of owning their own soil to grow food, build a home, and raise a family? Will they understand what it is to love something enough to fight and die for it? Will they know that being an American is an honor and a gift that carries with it an implicit obligation to pass it to our future generations intact?

Are our children already destined to be born into servitude to bankers, power brokers and the global elite?

For our children, I am ashamed for every politician, corrupt and filthy drunk with power, that was ever re-elected and never held accountable for his misdeeds.

Having been the richly rewarded benefactors of our ancestor’s deep patriotism and their willingness to guard, with their lives, the treasure of being an American citizen, will we be the generation that left nothing for our children but poverty and enslavement?

The Cure

National Pride is the only cure for what besets the soul of our nation.

America is at a cross roads. One path leads to renewed freedom, sovereignty and prosperity; the other to domination, poverty, tyranny and destruction.

One thing stands in the way of the Gods of Globalism realizing their dream;

A True Hearted American Patriot.

Do not underestimate that power.

It is intrinsic in the American psyche to admire and embrace our nation, heritage and rule of law. Our pride in this beautiful American experience is the hope of future generations.

We are citizens of the greatest nation in the world. We are neither customers nor slaves. We are Americans. We must stand and light the way to freedom, beginning with our own. For if we truly care about the people of the world, what better can we do for them, than to do for our own, and lead by example?

Globalists loathe national pride. It is the proverbial stake in the vampire’s heart. People cannot be forever oppressed. They will long for freedom and identity. They want to protect their homes, families and nation. It is an undeniable human instinct, a message of self determination.

This is why the Gods of Globalism hate the patriot, and why we must be proud to be one. The more globalists mock and ridicule, the more we must push forth, for they are showing their fear and fearful entities make mistakes.

They are not invulnerable. They do not have truth and faith and love of nation on their side, thus they cannot win.

There are American patriots currently serving in our government. Call on them now to step forward, not meekly, but forcefully, loudly, and publicly decry the blasphemy of globalism now occurring in DC and our state and local government. They must speak out and raise the understanding of our population to alert and educate them. They are obligated by their oath to do so.

Great American minds built the manufacturing base, from which this nation once prospered. They must speak out. Business is not a corrupt institution. The people entering business are corrupt. The globalists have overtaken the system and are bent on destroying it. Stand up against them and stand for the American worker.

The American people need a benefactor, one with power, money and prestige. They need CEOs with integrity, honor, decency and patriotism to come forward and chastise the globalists for being the greedy sell outs they have exposed themselves to be. It must come from within their own ranks to be effective.

Those of honor in the media know the travesty the profession has become. Cast off the shackles of political correctness and the corporate media monster and tell the American people the truth. Rally your journalistic integrity and do the research yourself instead of reading the talking points that are put before you. You will feel much more proud when you look in the mirror and will be amazed at how well you will sleep at night. Do not worry about being called the ‘lunatic fringe’, in time you will take great pride in the label and the American people will recognize the truth when they hear it.

Educators must stand up for truth and not allow children to be indoctrinated with the socialist globalist view of the world. You know the truth and have the most solemn responsibility to enrich our youngest citizens with the facts they need to survive in a dangerous world.

The point of no return is within viewing distance. Globalists are licking their chops. The wolf is at the door. But perhaps they have underestimated the human spirit and the conviction to be free. Perhaps the wolf now regrets his posturing and arrogance.

Globalists can scoff at the simple idea of patriotism. They can mock and laugh at our tattered belongings, but unlike restless globalists, we can sleep at night knowing we love our nation without reservation.

I am deeply grateful for the work of heroes, long into this battle, those armed with the truth, courage and great stores of knowledge. Someday, the people of this nation will recognize that we owe a great debt of gratitude to people like Devvy Kidd, Frosty Wooldridge, Michael Cutler, Chuck Baldwin, Ron Paul, Andrew Wallace, Lou Dobbs, Glenn Beck and the publishers of NewsWithViews and other like-minded publications, who worked diligently to spread truth, never gaining personal benefit, and often ridiculed by Americans, too comfortable and well fed, to listen carefully.

Though I am a late comer in this battle to save our Republic, I am so much better for the work of those who have come before and paved the way. I am filled with regret for every article I did not publish, every call I did not make, every stranger I did not tell, every opportunity I missed by error or complacency.

Cancer is not always fatal. Many times, survivors come back from the brink, better for having survived and endured, renewed enough to appreciate the blessings bestowed upon them. America has virulent cancer but national pride is the cure.

TOMORROW'S WHEAT

Can you eat the yet un-harvested corn? Can we store-up tomorrow’s wheat? Can we enjoy the comfort of a chair still growing in the forest? Can we hold in our arms the yet unborn? These things belong in the future and they are beyond our reach. To obtain things from the future would be a violation of the time and space continuum or just mendacious tricks. We are led to believe we have spent our posterity’s wealth even though that wealth is unattainably in the future. The debt they claim owed is for wealth and labor beyond all present economic activity. Any reasonable mind can see that would be an illusionary accomplishment. Can we see or spend the gold or silver yet undiscovered or taste the bread from the wheat grown next year? We have been lead to believe both a physical and moral impossibility. What is this spell that has tricked our minds into thinking that tomorrow’s economy is spent and how was it accomplished?

“In all honest labor there is profit. Blessed we would be if we walked in His way. For we would eat the labor of our hands: happy we would be, and it would be well with us.” Our debt is skyrocketing higher and higher while personal savings have fallen to near zero. In a true and honest Republic with free market wealth based money that would be reversed, our savings would rise and our debts would fall. There have been crimes committed.

“Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. Our necks are under persecution: we labor, and have no rest. Our public servants rule over us. And the solution is hidden that would deliver us out of their hand.” Are we guilty? We are told we are by the media and people claiming “power.” Yes we are guilty, but not for the reasons we are told. We fail when we allow deceit to dwell freely within our borders and allowing those that tell lies to remain in our employ. Isn’t it time to wake up and use the power of justice? Deceit and fraud are illegal in America making them subject to indictment.

Do not be fooled by the problems that lie ahead. We have many but they are not to be feared. They have been used by the wicked to keep us in line.

Problems are opportunities for achievement to those that solve them.

Problems are a means to power for those that promote them.

This whole ridiculous situation is coming to a head; there are only two things we can do short of a bloody revolution.

1. We will expose, indict and prosecute the criminal psychopaths controlling us with monetized debt. Or:
2. Continue having our real wealth expropriated until they consume most of production and we begin to starve.

It looks to me we are already in the final stage, becoming slaves of the money creators by way of criminal politicking. Paper money, better yet monetized debt was the tool of expropriation of our wealth and throwing a monkey wrench into the engine of economic activity. As a whole people we can not pay back more than was borrowed from a single source. When fractional reserve banking was imposed on US the interest was small and seemed payable. We were led to believe that the interest was worth paying in exchange for a flexible medium of exchange. This was a lie that we can all see by using 20/20 hin sight. Lying fraudulent debt must be cancelled which would be to enact a grand jubilee. All other real claims on wealth must be made payable by the assets of the Federal Reserve banks and their holdings. At most all that could be paid back otherwise would be principle and that would be next to impossible seeing their money, our debt, has been spread through out the entire world.

The economic mentor of this madness was Lord Maynard Keynes and when logic exposed his flawed theories as economic suicide his answer was “In the long run we’re all dead men.” Keynesian economics has fraudulently placed us in bondage through debt and has afforded greed the money to keep the sham alive. Follow the money; follow the money, follow the funny money, all things that lead to our demise is well funded and in many cases is put on our debt tab just for kicks. Why is this so, and is not this criminal? Patriotic groups can hardly rub two nickels together. Most of the patriotic groups are striking at air, not even close to the target. They are either misinformed or funded sham resistance. They ask for the last few cents we have to keep on swinging when they are not even in the same room with our enemies. The room where justice can work its blessing is the court room. We must target our local Court House, which is where our branch of power resides.

It is the people’s job to indict as well as convict. It is the people that create jurisdiction by way of the grand juries. Reason with your group; get them to do something that can make a difference or get out. We must force our elected DA to impanel a special free grand jury to investigate the corruption and fraud that has gone un-indicted. It is our job to investigate crimes; it is not the job of the foxes that guard the hen house. We have left this power in the street for to long it must be reclaimed. We have the right to peacefully assemble in front of the DA’s office and pressure him or her to do their job. There is no time left, at the present time we have a right and a duty to investigate crimes both corporate and governmental. When the United States of America is fundamentally changed and the final takeover is complete our power will be lost. Get to it.
